1 Beginning

On White Fog mountain range, a lot of caves could be seen. many people were entering and exiting those caves.

Inside one of those caves a youth was sitting cross legged, with his eyes closed. He had a sharp pointed nose, sword like eyebrows and a handsome face. He also had a well built body, nor bulky nor too thin.

He kept sitting their Cross legged for sometime before his body shook slightly and a powerful aura surrounded his body.

Few minutes later, the phenomena stopped. He opened his eyes and exhaled a mouthful of air before speaking "I finally reached 7th level Qi Gathering Realm".

The person sitting cross legged is called Zhou Fan. He was not a person from this world but had transmigrated from another world called Red Star Planet. Before Transmigrating, he was a university student and used to read novels in his free time. Thus when he realized that he had transmigrated to a cultivation world he became exited. A person with 1 spiritual roots of any element have the best talent, followed by 2, 3, and 4. People with all 5 spiritual root or no spiritual root cannot cultivate. Spiritual roots can be furtgur be divided into - Low, Mid and High level. And Zhou Fan only had Low level 4 Spiritual roots. Thus he was not accepted in the sect.

Although this greatly disappointed him, he did not gave up. It can be said that finally heavens pity him and he found a low level cultivation technique. With its help he could smoothly cultivate till 7th stage Qi Gathering Realm. He kept a low profile and went to a small hidden village and for years cultivated there.

After reaching 3rd stage Qi Gathering Realm he secretly came to White Fog mountain range where the aura was dense compared to the small hidden village and started cultivating there. After 20 years of hard work he was able to become 7th stage Qi Gathering Realm cultivator.

"I have already reached 7th level of Qi Gathering Realm. The old cultivation technique can no longer support. I'll have to think of a way to get a higher level cultivation technique". Zhou Fan muttered to himself.

Cultivation techniques are divided according to cultivation stages - Qi Gathering cultivation technique, Foundation Building cultivation technique and so on. To continue cultivating Zhou Fan will have find a higher level cultivation techniques however that's where the problem arises.

Cultivation techniques are very precious and only when one have a cultivation technique can one start cultivating. If a person don't have a cultivation technique then even if he has a high level spiritual roits and talent, he can only stay at bottom.

In the market only cultivation technique tgat can be practiced till 7th level Qi Gathering Realm can be found. Cultivation technique for 9th stage Qi Gathering Realm are not rare but its also not something one can easily get. Most of the time it only appear in big auctions and whenever that happens all Qi Gathering Realm cultivators fight for it. Its not an exaggeration to say that whenever a cultivation technique appear in market, rivers of blood will flow.

As for the cultivation technique for Foundation Building and above those are tightly held by powerful Clan and sect and don't allow them to circulate through market.

There are two reasons for doing so.

First, So that as long as they have powerful cultivation technique then even if the talent of future generations is low, with the help of various resources and high level cultivation technique they can turn them into powerful cultivators. This is the reason why even if two person have same talent, the person with a big clan or organization as his backing will have a higer achievement compared to the other as his starting point will be higher.

Second reason is to keep the loose cultivators in check. Its because once a loose cultivator become powerful and establish his own sect or clan, then the benefits and resources which have already been divided between various powerful forces will have one more share, which those people definitely don't want to see.

Now the problem was where Zhou Fan can find a new cultivation technique. And even if he found out he may not be bale to buy it. A 9th Stage Qi Gathering cultivation technique price can reach as high as 400 spirit stones and he don't have that many spirit stones.

Spirit stones are formed in places where Qi aura is very dense. They are divided into Low, Mid and High grade and are used as currency between cultivators instead of Gold and silver. They can also be used to cultivate.

Just as he was thinking about these things he heard a loud noise outside his cave. He got up and wwnt outside to check. When he came out he saw a person lying outside his cave. His clothes were torn form various places and blood was coming out from his mouth. He was heavily injured and his breath was also very weak.

When Zhou Fan saw the person lying in the ground, he immediately rushed towards him and spoke in a worried tone "Brother Su". He came to him and picked him up from ground.

In his 20 years of practice Zhou Fan knew that he did not have a high talent for cultivation. But as this was a cultivation world where strong prey on weak, he knew that to be safe he need strength. So since he cannot become strong himself he choosed a different path and made many strong connections which can be used and can help him in his trouble times.

Although it cannot be guaranteed that they will definitely help him, it is still better than doing nothing.
