Chapter 12 – Sinner Cave

Griffin, Isabella, and Edison entered the magic circle. Somehow, they were now inside a very large place. Like a very large room filled with yellow earth and sand. The whole place was covered with yellow dirt both above and below.

"Very spacious." Griffin said in awe.

"That's right, I was also surprised that the Sinner Cave could be this big." Edison was amazed.

It's strange that even though it's underground, it's quite bright there, even though there's no fire or lights to illuminate the area.

Inside there, there were several paths that they didn't know where they led. The front lane was dark, so no one could see into it.

"What should we go?" Isabella asked.

Edison thought for a moment because he didn't know where they were headed either. The fastest way is to split up, but it's also the most risky way.

Hey, so when are we going to attack Lirest?

A voice sounded from one of the paths.

"Hide!"

Edison gave the order in a low voice.

Griffin and Isabella immediately entered and hid in one lane, while Edison entered the other. They were eavesdropping on the conversations of the people who came there, with high and thick walls that could help them hide

"I heard we will attack after past midnight."

"Ah, you mean after the 'dark ritual' is over? But won't it take a while?"

"No, I heard there's a way to speed up the process."

"What? How?"

"No one knows. Only those closest to Barnes know about it. Little wizards like us can know what."

The Boaren wizards reached the center of the large room, where Griffin and the others had first entered.

"Then what about Raymond, leader of Lirest?"

"Now he is powerless. Inside this 'Sinner Cave', there's no way he could get out."

"What if a wizard from Lirest comes and helps him?"

"Then they are as good as wanting death. The witch Lirest who entered would definitely die because of the traps that were in here. Moreover, there was something they wouldn't imagine being in here. Something that will also destroy their land."

The wizards immediately laughed at the thought of Lirest's destruction.

"This is the most excellent chance to get their land. We will be rich after this war."

One of them poured mana into the ground below them, appearing black lines that formed a magic circle. They immediately disappeared as the magic circle also faded.

"So that's the way out of here." Griffin thought while looking at them carefully.

One thing was bothering him. "What do they mean by a trap?"

Griffin felt a bad feeling from the words of the witches just now, as well as Isabella and Edison.

When they wanted to walk out, Griffin and Isabella felt something strange on their feet.

"What is this?"

Griffin was shocked when he saw the ground they stepped on turned into sand. The sand continued to sink their feet under.

"That's bad!" Isabella drained mana into her legs and tried to escape, but her legs didn't lift at all.

"Hey, what happened?" Edison saw the sand that drowned them from a distance.

"We can't get out of here!" Isabella shouted as she slashed her blade into the sand around her, but it didn't manage to make any changes.

When half of their bodies had sunk in, suddenly the sand around them seemed to collapse downwards. Griffin and Isabella fell without being able to grab anything.

"Isabella! Griffins!"

In that condition, Edison just shouted without being able to help them.

"Tsk! What is this!" He snapped out of anger. There was nothing he could do but watch the pathway return to its original state, as if it had never collapsed or been crossed by anyone else.

Edison went another route. He was sure that Isabella could survive, and their priority now was to save Raymond.

"Aaahh!"

Griffin and Isabella fell into another place.

"Are you ok?" Griffin asked Isabella.

"No problem. But what is this place?" Isabella asked when she saw an unfamiliar place.

Unlike above, this area was covered in blackish-brown dirt, with structures that looked like neatly arranged black stones.

[Warning! Get out of the dungeon immediately before the 'dark ritual' begins]

"Dungeons? It's getting more and more like a game." Griffin scratched the back of his head in a daze. He was reminded of the previous quiz that asked him to save Raymond, otherwise Isabella and Edison would die.

Inside there, there was only one path forward for them to take.

"So we can only go this way?" Griffin asked while looking at the dark street.

"Apparently so."

The two of them walked straight ahead, letting the path take them somewhere unknown.

Griffin used the skill 'flame sword' to illuminate the path ahead, so at least their field of view became wider.

They had been walking for about 5 minutes, but they couldn't see anything on the way they passed.

"There is nothing here." Griffin said while looking around.

Right after Griffin said that, the floor they were standing on began to move.

Without being able to do anything about it, Griffin and Isabella were carried away by the space that moved by itself.

"Griffin!" Isabella called out as the two of them drifted apart.

The two of them entered into a wall that opened and closed again on its own.

Griffin enters somewhere else. In a dark room, the walls made of black stones, and the silence he did not know.

"What's with this place?!" Griffin shouted in annoyance. This dungeon seemed to deliberately separate the two of them.

Griffin pointed his flame sword around, hoping to see something from there, maybe there was another way. But no matter how far he looked around, there was only a wall that separated the entire area, there was no other way.

"Did they keep us here on purpose?"

"Then I will destroy this wall."

Griffin intended to destroy one of the walls with his sword, but it was at that moment that he felt a chill. A strange eve that gives one goosebumps.

Griffin immediately got ready, he was sure there was something else in the room, it's just that Griffin couldn't confirm his form.

Suddenly, there was a red eye that saw him from behind the darkness.

On the other hand, Isabella also entered a large, dark room. When he looked around, voices sounded all over the place.

The entire side of the wall opened a small box-shaped hole, and from it came a sound that made Isabella feel uneasy.

"This is bad." Isabella said feeling uneasy. From each hole just now came dozens of bees whose voices echoed throughout the area.

Level 2, they are very weak. Even with one simple move, Isabella could kill them all. But with this many, even a gigantic monster wouldn't be able to deal with it.
