37 The End Of The Preliminaries.

Guy: "LEEEEEE!!"

Booommm!!

A massive explosion occurred as soon as Tendo and Lee hit the ground. The arena was filled with smoke, blocking the vision of all the spectators in the arena. As the smoke cleared, the sight in front of everyone was gruesome. Lee had his head stuck in a crater and his body in the air with flowing blood being visible in the crater. Guy's heart dropped when he saw this sight. Tendo was just standing next to Lee's body with a small smirk next to his face.

Tendo: 'Even after using the 3 gates my stamina hasn't even decreased a bit. My chakra reserves are feeling endless, but im still weak, I have a long way to go.'

Tendo started to walk towards Lee's body and that's when a figure appeared and stood in front of him, putting his hands on his shoulder.

Guy: "I'm stopping this match! Lee has forfeited! Tendo, you can leave. Emergency Unit! Please hurry!

Tendo: "Hm. I was just going to talk to him but since you're here, you can tell him what I said. Tell him that he fought well and that I thank him for his contribution."

Hayate: "Winner of the last round! Tendo Senju!"

Tendo then flickered away, landing in the spectating area and closed his eyes while bracing his body on the wall. The medics soon arrived and removed Lee's body from the crater carefully, revealing a bloodied figure. The medics quickly worked to clean him up and diagnose his condition as he was still barely alive. A medical-nin was also there healing him while the head medic spoke to Guy about Lee's condition.

Guy: "How is he? Will he survive?! Please.."

Medic: "...his skull, neck, ribs, and arms are all fractured severely. His knee was cracked. He would've been dead if we had arrived a minute later. I don't know how to tell you this but..."

Guy: "Please, tell me."

Medic: "His career, no, his life might be over. The most we can do is heal his minor injuries and treat the rest at the hospital. It will be up to his own luck and ability to recover."

Guy: 'Damn! Did that boy intend to kill him?'

Guy was angry and sad at the time as had felt like he failed Rock Lee. He felt like he shouldn't have allowed him to fight Tendo in the first place. Currently, the latter was having a conversation with his two new friends in his mind.

Kurama: 'So you're a Senju huh brat? The last Senju I remember captured us and sent us off to other villages like we were his pets! Then the fool dared to seal me in his wife!'

Shukaku: 'He was the one that used trees right? Hehehe, it seems we've found one of his descendants! Fox, let's try and get out of here to kill everyone he knows!'

Kurama: 'Be quiet you damned Tanuki! I don't want to team up with you! We don't need to worry about him, he's already got his hands full with the other version of you that's watching him. You've noticed, right brat?'

Tendo: 'You mean that red-haired boy, Gaara? He's no threat. I've noticed him staring at me since I got in here. And yes, I am a Senju. Keep your eyes open and I'll show you that Wood Style that you love so much.'

Kurama: 'Heh, arrogant brat.'

As Tendo was still talking to them, the exams were finally wrapping up.

Hayate: "Uh, well then. As of this moment, the preliminaries to the third exam are now over! To those of you who have won your bouts and are qualified for the finals of the third phase of the Chunin Exams, although one of you isn't here, congratulations! Uh, Lord Hokage, they're all yours."

Hiruzen: "Thank you."

The Hokage then started explaining the final stage of the Chunin Exams to the contestants. After a while when he finally finished, it was time for them to find out their opponents were in the finals. Anko was holding a box with slips of paper inside that the contestants had to pick to choose their opponents.

When it was Tendo's turn, as soon as he walked up to the box, he heard Anko whisper to him.

'Congratulations. You made me proud!'

'Thanks.'

Tendo collected a paper and the number he got on it was 6. When the Hokage showed them the board that had the matchings, he was severely disappointed.

He didn't even want to attend the exams anymore. It would just be a disappointing fight.

Tendo: 'Tch. What a joke. I'll just train at the Senju Clan until the attack on the village is started.'

After that, the Hokage let them go and Tendo went straight back to the Senju Clan. It took several minutes before he got there and as soon as he got inside the large room where Ryutama usually dwells, he felt an attack coming towards him intent to kill. Tendo jumped back, dodging the attack and looking up at the attacker with a nonchalant face.

Tendo: "Nodama, I passed the exams and by the way, your attacks are getting slower."

Nodama: "Haha! I knew you would pass! Now, let me take you to the old man so that he could unseal you and check your progress."

Tendo: 'The old man might be surprised by the tailed beast chakra but I doubt he'll be angry. Sigh, I actually expect the opposite...'

Nodama took Tendo to Ryutama who was sitting on his chair staring at him as he walked in. Ryutama pointed at Tendo with two fingers and the seal on his body that prevented him from using other Chakra Natures was finally lifted. He put his hands on Tendo's head and as soon as he did, his eyes opened wide in surprise. For the first time since Tendo met the old man, he actually smiled.

Ryutama: "Nodama! His chakra is strong enough for me to finally do it! Tendo, I don't need to know how you raised your chakra to such a level but i'm glad you're finally strong enough! I can finally pass it on and die!"
