7 Chapter 7

Amy apologised as she quickly processed to find her handkerchief in her pockets.

"Did you catch a cold?" She nodded shyly.

"Oh no, it must've been from the rain. I'm so sorry", Drake's face fell.

" It's okay, colds are normal. Plus I'm a lot better now. Which is why I came to the garden. The flowers always give me peace." She smiled to herself.

"Same here. I come here whenever I feel down or troubled." Drake suddenly realized it was late.

"Ah, I ask for forgiveness Amilia, I've to get going. Do you live nearby?"

"Yes just a few streets down. It's rather late, I should leave too." Her exression visibly fell at the thought of leaving his side.

"Maybe I'll drop by sometime? Chat with your Dad?" He gave a toothy grin, dimples appearing.

"You're always welcome", she blushed a little at the thought.

"See you in the next session", he made his way out of the garden as Amy mumbled a 'see you'. She had a little jump to her step as she went home.

Amy didn't expect to collide with a hard chest on her way though. The collision made her immediately stumble back, wobbly legs making her land on the ice-cold ground. She let out a loud shriek as the person quickly gasped in surprise.

"Cupcake!" Her heartbeat picked up as she realized it was none other than, her own father.

"Dad? What're you doing here? I thought you were out of town?" He helped her get to her feet quickly, brushing his daughter's clothes to rid of any dust.

"Oh you see", he chuckled awkwardly, " I kind of got into a fight".

Amy narrowed her eyes at him, "Care to explain?" He sighed and motioned for them to get home first.

The numerous sneezes she let out on the rest of the way clearly gave away the fact that she had a cold and hadn't informed her father about it. He was disappointed and mentally happy he had come back early. It wasn't the first time he had dumped everything for his precious daughter.
