#2 Locket

As i reached the store i stopped first and sat down at a bench to catch my breath after all that running. Then suddenly i got greeted by a staff, "Hi ms! Did you came here to buy something? You also look tired...to bad we are closing up"

He said with a cheeky smile tainted on his face.

"Its fine, my apartment is just a few blocks away so... I'll just go back" i giggled, "are you sure about that? You look like you walked for hours to me" he laughed "why don't you shop first before i start closing up?" I nodded and went inside with him.

I roamed around the store to look for the things i needed also trying to resist not taking a glance from him. Since my intrusive thoughts keep winning against me so i finally gave up and took a little look at him and saw him taking something from a drawer near the cashier which didn't seem anything to me so i just continued shopping.

I already got everything i needed so i think it's time for me to pay the things i got at the cashier.

Beep beep, the sound of the cash register as he uses them to check the labels and price tags of the products i took."that'll cost 56.75$ miss" he said, as i handed him the money he reached for something in his pocket i started to feel panicked as i thought it will be a gun just like in any other stories but instead he gave me something.

"A locket....?' i gasped knowing lockets are mostly given at special days especially if you are giving it to your loved ones. Why would he give me a locket when he doesn't even know me..?

"Ahem" he said out of the blue to break the silence, "ummm.. you must wonder why would i give something like that to you when we just met each other but.. its actually a prize for our 100th customer!".

I laughed and waved goodbye at him as i stepped out the door. I was finally a few steps away from the store but i couldn't help look back to see him closing up and finally going the other path. After i came back into my apartment i still couldn't get him out of my mind. I tried drinking strawberry milk with pudding to make myself forget about him but i couldn't. Wait! Did i perhaps... Developed a crush on him?!!

Other person's POV:

What was i thinking when i gave her that locket?!

I am supposed to give her the prize but i gave her that locket instead! What did i do what did i do....

Its kind of worth it anyways...i do hope we'll meet someday again though.
