Self-deception

Before Rose could gather herself to stop the woman from calling the attention of others and explain to the woman that it wasn't what it looked like, a crowd had gathered around them "OMG! This is so cute" a lady from the crowd exclaimed. "SAY YES!" another woman screamed. The shouts came as either "SAY YES!" or "HE'S HOT!" If this was an actual proposal, she would have definitely said yes but, she knew that he was only asking for her forgiveness and not her hand but, these people had gotten it all wrong. And, why did he have to get down on his knees in the first place!

She had already forgiven him a long time ago, all she wanted to do was to drag the conversation a little and look where it had gotten her! If she said yes, these people would get the wrong idea and, if she said no, Raph would be crushed.
