4 About Alex (PT 2)

"What's your favorite place in the world?" Robert asks Ellie as they lie on the dry grass watching the cloudy sky.

"I don't have a favorite place. You know, there are so many amazing places, nice people and unforgettable memories, I can't choose just one." 'sighs' "But... There are also so many people to disappoint us and so many places that cause bad memories... And yet it's still my favorite place, because no matter how bad something is, there's always a side beautiful and amazing somewhere."

"Damn, you're very melancholy you know...?" laughs turning to Elliot.

"Is that you?" looks in Robert's direction "What's your favorite place in the world?" their eyes meet.

"My…" he continues to stare at Elliot, who doesn't seem to care too much.

"Don't you have a favorite place either?" laughs, eyes still meeting.

"My favorite place…" he starts to get embarrassed and quickly looks away to the sky again "My favorite place is wherever I am at the moment. I like being where I am, except when I have to go to school of course." start laughing together.

"Talking about school... is this year going to be a good final year?"

"I think there are great chances." lets out a giggle.

"I really hope...!" sits up in a hop "I don't want to spend my last year alone in the living room."

"Do not be dramatic." pushes on Elliot's shoulder to sit next to him.

"It's easy for you to say, since you're a perfect teenager." gesturing quotes with your fingers.

"What? 'Perfect teenager'?" Where did you get that?" starts laughing out loud.

"That's just what they say about you out there." accompanies the laughter of others.

"I didn't know about that one." slowly stop laughing "You know, it's going to be hard to live with that definition, but I'll bear it for the greater good." they laugh again as if at that moment there were only the two of them.

"Is that all already?!" Elliot screams as his watch reads 4:43.

"It's almost time for dinner." Robert cycles alongside Elliot as they drive home.

"I think that was a good farewell to the summer break isn't it?" smiles back to making zig zag movements on the road.

"Yes, we did a lot of things today." Increases speed to catch up with friend. "What did you like best?"

"I really liked it when we went to the creek and saw the waterfall. I also liked it when we went to have a snack and you paid for everything" he laughs even bigger "Oh, and also when you agreed to stop at the library with me so I could deliver the book! But my share favorite was when we stopped at the square for ice cream and Mr Kin let the dogs run away and we had to run to avoid being bitten."

"That was scary!" starts to laugh quietly.

"But at least we get another ice cream for dropping ours." she says ironically.

"Elliot, changing the subject..." starts pedaling slowly, changing his expression.

"What's it?" follows the rhythm of the other.

"What did you think of that guy?" serious question.

"Who?" (As you can see, it is also not provided with reasoning.)

"The kid who was at the creek this morning."

"You know, at first I thought he was very rude, but today he apologized and seemed to be sincere." silence dominates for a few moments "He's just a little weird, but he seems to be nice. And by the looks of it, he must be about our age. Probably."

"So... did you like him?" speed up.

"Yes..? I think." feel your face heat up again.
