3 Devil

I was looking outside the window. The scene was beautiful. I could see the garden and then the river and forest above it. It felt good here, even though I was quite frustrated at not being answered, but I didn't want to go back to my parent's house. They were so cruel to me. There, I was always depressed. They always found a way to taunt me, and from day to night I had to hear them say how pathetic I was, but I didn't want to stay here either. They were strangers, and I don't know their true intentions. Why do they even want me here? I mean, what could a girl like me give them? They are already so rich themselves.

"Hey," I heard a voice that I recognized to be Rima's. I didn't bother to turn. There was nothing left to talk about because she had always refused to answer my questions.

"O..key I will answer all the questions you have in your mind." I felt her coming toward me.

I slowly looked at her, not believing it.

"Come here, sit," she said, sitting on the bed and patting the side, asking me to sit.

"How long have I been here?" I started to ask questions, not moving from my spot.

"Almost two weeks."

"Who...aat?" I was shocked. It has been two weeks? Two fucking weeks?

"You were in a coma for four days."

"Ohhh..." That was all I could say.

She nodded at me.

"I guess you and your lover live here?" I asked, and she laughed, shaking her head. Did I say some kind of joke?

"He is my brother," she replied with a smile.

I knew they were related, but brother? I mean, couples seem alike after they have been together for years.

"So you guys kidnapped me?" I asked, wanting to know more.

"No,"

Some relief filled me, and somewhere I had known it too because she treated me well. I mean, everyone in the house treats me well. If they had kidnapped me, they wouldn't have treated me well, right? Kidnappers beat you up till you get unconscious, and all they talk about is ransom.

"Then why can't I leave?" I finally asked the same question I had been asking all these days.

"Because my brother doesn't want you to." She answered. This got me angry and confused.

"And who is your brother? some kind of mafia or king?" I snapped.

She just smiled. What I liked about this girl was that she was so humble and always had a smile on her face. Her facial expression was the same in every situation. I don't know how she did that.

"What am I here for?"

"You have to ask him."

She was now turning into an annoying person, maybe I should rethink what I said previously.

"Now, that's enough. You are not answering properly and not telling me the truth." I said, my blood boiling in my veins, and was about to leave when she stopped me.

"Calm down; I will tell you the truth." She got up and came towards me.

Truth? I was afraid she would tell me that they kidnapped me and wanted money, or she would say I was dead and in hell with them, and they were devils.

"He doesn't want you to leave because he wants you here."

"And why does he want me here?" I asked her, and then something came to mind. She was about to reply when I cut her off by showing my hand.

"Oh....wait. He wants me to pay him back, doesn't he? He saved my life, so I have to pay him for that." I glared at her, and she looked at me with wide eyes.

"It's not what you think."

I went toward the window.

"Go and tell your brother he can't keep me for long, and when I get back, I will pay him."

I don't know how I'm going to pay him. I don't have a job, and my parents—ugh. It sucks to even think about them.

I heard her footsteps leave, but before she left, I asked her that very question.

"Why were his eyes dark the other day when I first saw him in the garden?"

She turned and was silent for some time.

"I don't think you are ready for the answer," she whispered, and without waiting for me to speak, she left.

What the hell is wrong with these two? They live in this big mansion with some guards and maids. They say I am not kidnapped, but they won't let me leave. I know they want money, but why would they want money from me? I mean, they are so rich. I wanted to leave, and there was only one person who could answer my questions and let me go.

I went straight to his door and knocked, but no answer came from inside. I waited a while outside and went inside, but no one was there. The room was very big. I searched for him everywhere.

"It's bad to stalk someone's bedroom." I heard him say I turned to see where he was. He was looking at me, leaning on the wall. His arms were folded. I went to him and studied his face. He raised a brow.

"What?" He asked.

I rolled my eyes

"Why were your eyes dark the other day?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

His facial colour changed, but he didn't say anything. I looked at him, waiting for the answer.

Oh, my God," I almost shouted.

He looked at me in confusion.

"I was right; you are the devil, and I am in hell." I panicked.

I heard him chuckle, and I glared at him. "Do you find it funny that now I am a devil?" I asked.

"Nothing just...."

"No way," I cut him off.

"I am dead; that's why you won't let me go." I almost screamed.

"I am living with a devil," I said more to myself.

"I am not a devil." He gave me that not-impressed look.

"Then why were your eyes dark the other day?" I demanded, putting my hands on my hips. He didn't say anything, just stared at me. Maybe he found it amusing, but not me.

"Bloody devil," I muttered.

A smile escaped from his mouth. I rolled my eyes and was almost out of the room when I realized I was not done yet, so I came back.

"Why do you want me here? What is it that you want from me?" I almost screamed in frustration.

"Or, oh gosh. Don't tell me you are that type of guy who would let me go if I...." I couldn't say it. "sle...." I was about to say it. He looked at me in realization, covered my mouth, and pushed me to the wall.

"Don't you dare say it. You think that's my intention?" He shook his head and then looked at me. My heart was beating faster. His eyes were so beautiful that I couldn't stop myself from staring. He let go of me and turned around.

"I thought you hated that life."

I did

"I didn't know you wanted to die."

"Wait, how did you know I hated my life?" I asked.

"I assumed.....a-h- by looking at your unconscious body. Anyone would have assumed that," he shrugged.

"I know you want something from me, Tell me what it is," I demanded.

I didn't have anything to give him except my body, and there was no way I would agree to that.

"You," I barely heard him.

Did he just say that?

"In your dreams," I said to myself.

I am sure he wants my body, Boka.

(Boka, A playboy or a guy who wants girls only for sex. )

"Hey, you. What do you want?" I asked My patience was getting thinner.

"I want to make a deal."

"Do I look like some kind of businesswoman to you?" I spat.

"You have to marry me," He told me, ignoring my question, and I laughed so hard that I nearly fell to the ground. I looked at him and realized he was being serious.

"I am serious," He cleared his throat

I stood still, not believing what he said.

"What did you say?" I almost yelled and went near him, but he didn't bother to look at me.

"If you want to get out of here, you have to marry me."

"Are you fucking kidding me? How will I be free if I marry you?" I glared at him. I wanted to fucking kill him.

He stood silent, his back facing me.

"Just dream about it, you devil. It's not going to happen. I never asked you to save me in the first place, so only dream about it," I said and left.
