16 Start Up.

Once Ivan landed in New York, a driver who worked for his Father's company was waiting for them at the private landing strip. From there, the driver picked him, Yoshimura up and drove them toward the house his Father bought.

As for Gustave, he had to be driven separately in a larger transporter as the crocodile was growing faster than his species were expected to. He was already 4 meters long which meant he had grown over a meter since December.

Regardless, Ivan was proud of his pet as like most rich people he had to have a weird pet. And a giant quirk having Salt Water Crocodile with fast-paced growth was just the kind of thing a weird eccentric rich man would own.

On a darker note, if he ever got into the dark aspects of business, he had a good way to eliminate people. Crocodiles and pigs left no traces of their victims, but he would make do with a crocodile.

Plus, his crocodile's stomach was not just acidic like a normal one, but also boiling hot as a result of his quirk. People would vanish after being devoured which was quite a dark thought.

Either way, once his driver parked in front of the house his Father bought for him he looked out at it. He had to say his Father had good tastes. The house wasn't too big, but it did have a giant pool out in front which was perfect for Gustave.

"Here we are."

Ivan stepped out of the vehicle and adjusted his cuffs a little. Yoshimura stepped out after him and walked back to the trunk to get her luggage.

"I will get things ready sir."

He nodded.

"I will appreciate that."

The driver gave a tip of his hat.

"I wish you a good day, Sir."

"Likewise."

With that, the first driver drove off while the second one opened up the animal transporter before backing away quickly. From the transporter, a very annoyed Gustave walked out.

It was obvious he was annoyed as he was radiating a lot of heat and the cracks between his scales were beginning to turn firey red. With a bellow, Gustave walked over to Ivan to rest at his feet. Ivan chuckled as he looked at the scared driver.

"What? Never seen an angry croc before?"

The driver shook her head.

"No, Sir. Especially not when they have a quirk."

She closed the transporter before she got into the truck.

"Good day."

"Right."

With that, both drivers left leaving just him, Typhon, Yoshimura, and Gustave. He smirked as the last driver was freaked out at the sight of Gustave.

"Let's check out the home shall we? I need to see what renovations this place will need. Gustave, make yourself at home."

The crocodile did not delay long and ran over to the pool and dived straight in. Seeing him enjoy himself, Ivan walked over to Yoshimura and helped her with her luggage.

"You could have just asked me to place all that in Typhon's storage you know?"

Yoshimura waved him off as she picked up two of her suitcases while Ivan picked up the other 4.

"It's fine. I got only clothes here anyway."

"Way too much if you ask me."

She just frowned.

"For ladies that is never true."

He chuckled as they walked into the house which was quite spacious. Once he was here, he would have to pay a good chunk of money to renovate it, have a surveillance system placed in it, fence it all off, and get some guard dogs.

He wanted this place to be harder to get into than Fort Nox. He also wanted to build a basement where he could do his secret research. First, he took Yoshimura's luggage to her room before he took the Master bedroom for himself.

Once he did that, Typhon opened some portals from which his king-sized bed came out, his desk, TV, and a few more electronics he had made. He stripped his room bare in Japan and placed it all here as the house needed some furnishing as it was bought yesterday.

Once his room was set up, Ivan placed a mirror on the wall and looked at his new identity. He was going to stay like this for a while until he was sure this house was secured. He was starting to be a little paranoid and he wasn't even a true Iron Warrior.

He was an Imperial Fist through his Gene Seed, which was a good thing for him. Rogal Dorn's Gene Seed enhances a Space Marine's physical combat ability and survivability beyond even other Astartes.

While Perturabo's Gene Seed was extremely stable, it made Space Marines more logical, paranoid, and analytical. Which made him plan on something if he ever managed to enter Warhammer 40k.

Catch some Iron Warriors purify their gene seed and mix it with his own Imperial Fist Gene Seed. He reached up and placed a hand on his neck where his progenoid glands were.

If he was a proper Space Marine in a Chapter or Legion, an Apothecary would harvest it and use the DNA of their Primarch to generate new Gene Seed organs to turn Aspirants into Space Marines.

However, he was not in either so the only person who could make use of his progenoid glands was him. Now, he was smart, but was he smart enough to make proper use of the two glands he had?

He only had two chances unless he could turn a quirkless individual into a Space Marine just to harvest their progenoid glands. That was his only source of Rogal Dorn's DNA which was what Gene Seed was.

It was how male children were turned into Astartes through the DNA of the Emperor's sons. He would have to use his neck gland as an experiment before making use of his Chest gland to succeed.

However, before he even thought of touching his progenoids, he would make do with his blood. His blood had to contain trace amounts of foreign DNA that was not his which he would need to experiment with and learn to use.

After all, he only had two chances so he was going to be ruthlessly thorough to ensure success. If he succeeded, he would become even stronger. He reached out and picked up Typhon the small blue dragon. The dragon tilted his head at his Master's action.

"Well then my friend, let's ensure success shall we?"

With a roar, Typhon crawled up his arm onto his shoulder before rubbing his face against his. He and his powers were the only good things he got from that goddess who almost screwed over his second life.

Which he was going to make good use of the following years.

---

Time began to pass by for Ivan with him having very little free time as he was now an entrepreneur. He was insanely lucky to be born into a wealthy family as through his parents aid he got his company off the ground fast.

His Father's business reach was extensive so he leased him one of his buildings in New York which Ivan got to use for free essentially. Not only that, his parents invested in his start-up allowing him smooth sailing.

Through their aid, he got Void Industries off the ground and started to draw attention. For the first 6 months, he revealed nothing which drew attention. However, when those 6 months ended, and he revealed what his company was all about it drew attention.

The main reason was that he was developing technologies rather than quirk-related research. This world was so obsessed with quirks that they let their tech stagnate, which annoyed him.

The technology level was not too different from the 21st century which meant less tech for him to learn from. As such he was working from scratch and against the tech level of the world already.

Another point that got attention was he was not going to make hero support items. What he was offering was exclusively for War, something rare in this world of heroes and villains.

But what he made for sale in those 6 months was certainly up to the Department of Defense's interest. Using his Mark XI Power Armor as a base, he created a cheap knock off based on Scion Armor which got him a contract once they saw he could deliver what he was saying.

Once it was tested and proved to be worth the price tag, he got a contract set up. Of course, through his parent's initial loan, and investments he bought a large factory he renovated to produce in bulk. The initial contract was for 125,000 units.

Each suit was still rather pricey, but they were cheaper than tanks or aircraft and offered great protection and power. He managed to agree to sell each suit for 50k each which while pricey, was a cheap price compared to what they could do. Even in his time, the gear an American Soldier wore was worth 17k.

For just 33k more, they would get a suit that increased the strength of the wearer and protected them from small to medium arms fire. Plus, most quirks were not all that powerful and they were successful against the common quirk user.

It was also cheap compared to an aircraft like the F-22 which cost 150 Million to produce. Even an Abrams Tank cost 10 Million so his suits were worth the price tag as only his company could produce them.

It was insane that the F-22 Raptor was still comparable to the aircraft in service as technology truly stagnated. On another note, to go along with the Scion Armor he was selling he also managed to create the common Lasgun for selling and more powerful stuff for himself.

In 40k, each Lasgun cost on average 75 Thrones because of how easy they were to sell and each throne being around 10 bucks. But selling a Lasergun for only 750 dollars which was the same as an M4 Carbine.

Which WAS STILL the main gun for the US army which hurt his two hearts. Why was tech so damn behind that even a cheap flashlight like the Lasgun was so heavily desired? Regardless, he set the price tag of each rifle at 5K.

He was contracted to build 200k of them for the DOD for year one alone. And the third final invention he created was a scam that they had to purchase. The Lasgun power packs were 50 bucks each.

They requested 5 Million of the things which meant business was booming for him. Just his first three inventions which didn't take him too much effort when he had free time netted him 10,625,000,000 Dollars in profit.

That was 10 Billion, 625 Million dollars in profits. Of course, part of that went into taxes and paying the employees he hired. And then another chunk to repay his parents and the rest went right back into the company itself.

Through the successful first year, he began to expand his operation and began to delve into more heavy weapons and vehicles. He knew the American Government would try to reverse-engineer his technology, but they were using stuff that was too weak for him to care about.

All the super strong weapons were in his personal armory which was getting bigger and more lethal by the day. Because while his 10 billion profits went into his company, he was the heart of the company.

That money went into his personal research which led to him inventing some scary weapons and gear which was then reverse-engineered to make an item only 1/100th of what he would personally field.

In the second year, he showed off another invention, an aircraft. The famous Thunderbolt or the closest he could make which took him not too long as he was now a business owner.

He had plenty of resources to drop into this and as he expected the aircraft was accepted by the DOD. Profits were soon going to be coming in as other countries began to reach out as they wanted a piece of the pie.

Of course, he blacklisted the expected countries, China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran. However, he started talks with the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Israel, and Poland as a start.

And that was just in the first 2 years when he acted as a normal businessman. However, in year three a new terrifying villain emerged which shocked America when he led an attack on the Sierra Army Depot (SIAD).

The villain who called himself Onslaught led a small force of what could only be called robots into the base caused severe casualties and stole several vehicles. Of course it was Ivan who did that, where he showed off just what he kept to himself.
