Looking at her with anger wrapped with jealousy, Betty hit the ground hard and left the training room with a sad face
Being the only daughter with a rare gift she haven't been allowed to mingle with others in the palace, constantly she tried begging her father, but he kept declining.
"Hump! am not a baby anymore, am 17 and i know What is right" she spoke to no one while walking back to her favorite spot, the garden.
"milady!, good morning my princess" Benny, her personal maid greeted her bowing down and smiling. The princess only gave a nod and continued strolling round the palace with a straight face.
Benny following her behind gently coughs to make her presence known.
"Am sorry milady, the king request your presence immediately" the maid spoke bowing. Turning around she grabbed her dress and walked fast to the throne room.
"oh my sweet little princess, look how big you've become" Her elder brother, prince Lawrence said while hugging her tightly and smiling
"Can I travel with him mum, please, am tbowed

she pleaded with her mom, the queen.
The queen smiled at her and dragged her close
"Not now bet, not now, your dad is waiting for you sweetie"
she frowned but out up a fake smile and walked over to the king and bowed
"your highness" paying respect to the king and kissing the back of his palm. He gestured on her to sit close to him while he nodded at the queen who bowed and left with the prince.
Turning around to stare at his daughter, he admired her beautiful features, she was blond with brown hair and a pair of green rare eyes. was beautifully made with a kind heart.
"betty, what wrong, are you not getting ready, you know all..."
" Oh father, I'm not ready for this, I just want to stay here in the castle as long as I want. I don't want to marry someone I barely know" she pleaded
"Nonsense, prince harry is handsome, and am sure he can take care of you, he is a prince, a fine one"
She looked defeated and tears rolled down

"You would meeting with him soon, so stop this nonsense and let the maids prepare you, one more thing. No more visiting the village until you are ready to learn"
she looked up shocked

she stood shocked, the village has always been a place of comfort from annoying parents, She made friends and now it all lost like this
"yes, your highness" she bowed,turned around crying and running off to her room.
To her, everything important has been taken away from her, she wept for along time before finally falling asleep on the floor close to her door.
