I exited the bathroom with a sigh of relaxation and satisfaction and noticed that no one is in the room. I stayed put and inspected my surroundings, just making sure no one is in hiding and would try to scare me, especially that Jefferson; he's good at those kinds of things. Once I have assured that no jump scare is going to happen in my wake, I quickly dressed up and went outside while wiping my dripping hair with a towel.

I walked along the hallway of the second floor and could hear the commotion of Johnny's mouth. A person went out from the last room of the other end of the hallway; I stopped to see who this person is. Her pale white face is being illuminated by the white LED as she tried to hide some strands of hair to be covered by her usual blue-green psychedelic Hijab. This woman called out to me as she approached me; she's Nadia. Together we went down the staircase that will lead to the supposedly living room of this household.

"This is weird, right?" She said, showing an eerie look,

"Weird? The what? Me and you walking together?" I blankly replied,

"No! This place… Don't you think it's too convenient for us to just stay here? And the cabinet here has hijabs too…" She wondered, showing her doubts,

"Maybe this household belongs to a Muslim family… Well, it's not like we can go anywhere, knowing that we don't even know where we are." I rationalized,

She stopped on her tracks, I noticed this so I turned around, looking at her. She looked somehow terrified which is very unusual. I always see Nadia as someone who is bubbly and unpredictable, with her sudden outburst of laughter and reactions that you don't expect her to react to, a cheery person down to her core.

I should try to comfort and console her or something, though I am not one to say something comforting; every one of us, here, doesn't have any clue as to where we are, the last thing we remembered was we were eating delicious food and a fog suddenly showed up and knocked everyone unconscious.

"Dar… I'm scared…" The cold and terrified murmur came out of her cerise lips, it felt like a mirror that if you tap lightly on it, it'll shutter,

"I'm scared as you are… You know..." I averted my gaze away from her, trying to look convincing,

"But you look, somehow, calm, why?" Her face looked confused and worried,

"Oh… Do I really look calm?" I said in a timid voice.

I do look calm. It's, most of the time, where I, myself, don't understand. There are situations where I am not supposed to be nervous, I get nervous and situation where I am supposed to be scared, I am not feeling scared. Maybe I am still trying to process our current situation and for now, it is not something that a person should be scared of.

But the truth be told that though, I look calm,I'm still scared; we don't know where we are, we don't know how we got here, and we don't know why we're here. There's so many things that I don't understand, I am not good with anything in particular either, if we're going to get stuck here for a month, heck even for years, I might just become a hindrance to everyone. I'm also scared of that. I looked at her; she is really waiting for me to say something, the face of a desperate person, eager to hear something that might calm them down.

"Umm… I'm scared but I'm still happy because I'm with you guys, I think that maybe it." I smiled convincingly,

"hmm… I think you're right; maybe I'm just over thinking things. Thanks…" She sighed, placed a hand on her bosom and breathes very deeply, I think I somehow convinced her even though my answer doesn't make any sense, she looked calm now,

"We better see what they're doing." I said to her,

"Yeah." She nodded in agreement.

We entered the living room, I think, and saw Jefferson, James, Wesley, Johnny and Steph playing a game of cards. So that's what the ruckus is all about.

"WHAT!? HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!?" Johnny continued his uproar,

"Psycho-psycho…" Jefferson smirked maliciously,

"Where are the others?" I asked in the open,

"Jasmine, Gregory and Kristen are preparing dinner. Carlo, Kevin and Ryan are in the porch. Sheila and Claireare still in the room while Troy and Venus are looking around."Steph answered with complete details,

"What about Jane?" I asked,

"She went to the toilet; it seems her stomach went bad." Nadia said,

"Lactose and not tolerable to her stomach." I sighed sarcastically,

"DINNER IS READY TO MINGLE!" Gregory shouted.

"HUH! DINNER?! I am the fastest man alive!" Jefferson quotably said as he rushed to the dining room, throwing away the game that they are currently still on.

Everyone excitedly went to the Dining room following Jefferson's lead. The table is packed with delicious food in different variety, that's a chef for you, you have my compliment. Everyone is chatting and laughing while stuffing our hungry mouths. It's nice to be eating with everyone because it doesn't feel lonesome at all.

I'm lying on my bed; the lights in our room are off, as I stared at the unfamiliar ceiling. I can't seem to get some sleep. Maybe I'm just feeling homesick or something or maybe because I am in a foreign land and I mostly didn't expense much energy throughout the day.

I stood up; I heard all of my roommates snoring very heavily. I exited the room with gentle strides, not trying to wake them up. I went down the staircase and into the living room.

In the living room, Gregory, Johnny, Jasmine, Steph and Wesley are still playing UNO. Even though it's already 12:41 PM on the clock… Well, considering the fact that in 7:30 PM, the sun just started to fall so the original time must be somewhere in 10:40 PM, if I am not mistaken.

"DARYL!" Wesley called out to me,

"Want to join?" Jasmine sends me an invitation, well it's not like I have anything better to do and I can't really sleep. Playing UNO might just be handy.

"Are you guys playing the usual rule?" I asked,

"Yeah."Steph replied,

"Then count me in!" I excitedly said,

I waited their round to end so that I can join them in the next shuffle. They covered their cards very securely. The round ended with Wesley as the winner. Next round has started, I was given 5 cards and strategically think about what card should I drop and when I should drop it. Though, their hands are very much secured, that didn't stop me from taking a peek of their cards. I'm pretty much a ninja at this point. There are no cards that will stay hidden on me. The one on my right is Steph and on my left is Wesley. Every time they averted their gaze, I immediately glance at the very corner of my peripheral vision and analyze my next course of action, though, every time I get caught glancing at their hands, Steph and Wesley would tease me and accuse me of cheating, now, everyone, here, have trust issues on me.
