1 CHAPTER 1
"Sapphire!!! get up. You don't want to be late
for school!!". I could hear my mum scream from downstairs. I still can't believe I'm starting in a new school, my introverted self is screaming right now. So though my mum seems happy right now, it's just until my dad comes that it all changes.
"I'm up mum, I'll be right down". I take a shower, do my business and prepare for school. I come downstairs to hear my mum and dad arguing unnecessarily again. I get to the kitchen to see them arguing over breakfast.
"Sapphire, what did you what for breakfast, bacon or pancakes?" My mom asked me, and this is where I get involved. "I'm kinda late for school so I can't answer that". "Of course you can't because you know you'll always support your mother". My dad said, I mentally roll my eyes and walk out of the house, yes without breakfast.
So I'm not that kind of girl that has friends walk with her to school, I move solo. School is about 15 minutes away from my house so I can simply walk down. I'm pretty sure my parents are still arguing. I don't think they know what they do to my mental health by arguing over stupid shit like who gets the remote, who came back late and shit look that and what's worse is that I have to judge who is right and who is wrong and if it doesn't favor one I'd be very evil so sometimes I just walk away or be silent.
After 15 minutes of my internal monologue I got to school. It's not exactly a posh school neither of it a poor school it's just there. I see groups of friends hugging each other, some squealing and what not. Obviously, since I'm new here I have to go get my schedule. As I was going, I notice some group of girls passing but I didn't pay attention and just walked away to the principal's office to get the schedule. After many twists and turns, I finally got there. "Good morning Sir..." "Sir Williams". This is the point were I can't formulate a sentence "ummm, I'm Sapphire Brown,I'm a new student here and I'd like to get my schedule" I finally managed to say "Ok Miss Brown, here's your schedule, I'll assign someone to take you to your class". 'Nooooooooo' I wanted to scream but that would be considered rude so he found a random girl to take me to the class. By the way I'm having biology.
"So Mia you'll help take Miss Brown to her biology class, it's her first day". Mr Williams told her. Please say no, please say no, please say no, plea- "of course, no problem" Mia said and I wanted to faint. Mr Williams left us at that moment and it was just me and Mia.
"So uh, what's your name?" Mia asked when the silence got to awkward for her. "Umm my name is Sapphire Brown" I said. "Wait doesn't Sapphire mean blue or isn't it a shade of blue?" She asked me. "Well it also means a rare gem" I finally managed to say out. "Wow what a wonderful name" I obviously didn't know what to say so I just kept walking with her. "So here we are, I even have biology too so we're staying together". Even though I'd rather sit alone it will be better to sit with her since a random person can try to sit with me.
We got to class, the teacher introduced me or is it the teacher let me introduce myself? I said "Good morning everyone, I'm Sapphire, I'm 16 years old, I love music. Thank you"
Some people snickered but I could really care less I just wanted to settle down. Mia sat with me she tried to start a conversation with me but the only thing that caught my attention is when she talked about music, she was like she listens to kpop and I was shocked because you hardly find people who listen to kpop. "So what's your favorite so kpop group" I asked. She said, "I like BTS and the rest of them" and this is were I knew she would make a good friend. You know all through my life only BTS could help me.
So eventually we got talking more as I got more comfortable with her. It turns out we have lots in common, so it's safe to say that we're off to a great start for this new school.
