Chapter 15 Apple juice

They both had their lunch after which Drake decided to keep Elena with him for a little while longer. He decided it was best they had something to drink so they both could converse a little.

He called for the waiter and placed an order of a glass of cocktail for himself. He didn't order one for Elena because he knew she had a low tolerance to alcohol so he ordered a glass of apple juice for her instead. Besides he needed an excuse to keep Elena with him for a little while longer.

Meanwhile, Elena who dosen't know what was going on in Drake's mind had decided to turn down the offer. She thought Drake was doing all of this because he was generous. She therefore decided to decline the offer.She wanted to leave immediately because she dosen't know why but whenever she's around Drake or anywhere near him, her heartbeat accelerates.

While Drake was busy placing the order,Elena stopped him.

Uhmm Drake, I think that's enough for today.

You invited me to lunch and that's enough for me. You don't have to do anything more and it's getting late now so I think I should get going.

Elena tried to escape but Drake won't give her the chance.

Elena what are you saying?

This isn't a problem for me. Besides, I don't want you to leave yet,k let's converse a little as friends and get to know each other better.

Listen, if you are feeling awkward because I'm your boss then you don't have too. Right now I'm not your boss but your friend and friends stick together right?

So please stay a little longer for my sake, if you don't grant my request as your friend then listen to my order as your boss.

Drake said, giving Elena no room for further arguments.

Elena granted Drake's request and quietly took her seat. She had no choice not that she was given a choice in the matter to begin with.

A little while later, their orders arrived. Drake picked up his glass of cocktail and Elena took her glass of Apple juice.

Elena took a sip of her drink and hummed.

Mmmm, Applejuice my favourite! She exclaimed.

It's good, isn't it?

Drake asked after taking a sip of his cocktail.

Hmmmm, Elena hummed.

Apple juice is always good and that's why it's my favourite. I love it a lot, said Elena with a smile.

I'm glad you like it. It means I had placed the right order.

So Elena, tell me something about yourself. Your likes and dislikes, everything about you,there should be no secrets between us because friends don't keep secrets from each other right?

Drake said. not like he dosen't know, he wanted to act natural.

Well....

I love puppies a lot, my favourite colour is the colour oink, I love the Philippine movie Immortal. It's kind of like a horror movie so I don't watch it alone otherwise I might get scared.

What's more to tell you, Elena went into deep thinking.

Ah ha!

I have a best friend named Charlotte, We both stay in the same apartment.

Oh! I also have a childhood friend, his name is James. He lives in the country but he's out of town on a business trip right now. He is a very good person though. I love applejuice a lot as you know already, I love having breakfast in bed, my favourite song is a thousand years by Christina Perri.

Uhmm, my favourite dishes are grilled steak, chilli and spaghetti and meatballs.

Hmmm, they are so delicious.

I also love Pizza with chesses,olives and pepperonie toppings and I'm a sucker for lint as well. I love cupcakes a lot too, Elena kept speaking non stop.

Uhmm, I think that's all I have to say about myself.

While Elena was explaining, Drake was listening to her angelic voice and paid rapid attention to her. Drake had made up his mind that he was going to marry this girl no matter what.
