533 Chapter 533: How Is This Possible?

In the square, the weaker-spirited Dalaran and Gilneas soldiers were already intimidated. The scraping sound of retreating iron-clad legs was piercingly evident across the grounds.

Close by, the kings, directly under the powerful dragon's aura, fared no better. Each displayed signs of distress, but none more so than Terenas. With a combat prowess of merely five, Terenas recoiled three steps from the dragon's majesty and collapsed onto his throne.

Yet, it was only Lord Admiral Daelin Proudmoore who stood defiantly. Leaning on his curved blade, grinding his teeth, even as his legs wavered and veins bulged on his neck and hands, he held the dragon's gaze.

Taking an astonishingly heavy step forward, Daelin raised his blade, crying out, "It's me—Daelin Proudmoore of Kul Tiras! This has nothing to do with the Alliance or my kingdom! As a father, seeking justice for my son, Derek Proudmoore, who perished in your flames, I challenge you, Tyranastrasz!"

Daelin was all in.

Holding his blade high, he continued, "A duel!"

The dragon's laughter resonated, "With you?!"

Daelin, spitting blood from his mouth, whether from internal injuries or biting his own lip, didn't falter. "Yes, me! A mere human in the eyes of a mighty dragon! I know I can't win, but I demand this duel! It's the last honor I can claim as a father!"

Suddenly, a voice rang out, "No—Father, don't be foolish!"

Daelin's face shifted. It was Tandred Proudmoore, his second son, the heir to Kul Tiras in all but name. He knew his lover, Jaina Goldsword, had used forbidden magic to bring Tandred here, hoping to dissuade him from this foolhardy challenge.

The dragon sneered, "What will it be? A duel where your family could be collateral damage?"

Amidst the tension, Duke, wearing the Grand Marshal's battle staff, conjured a massive ice wall between Tandred, Jaina, and the ongoing confrontation.

Everyone was stunned.

Duke, halting a move from Vereesa, calmly told Daelin, "You asked me to seek an explanation from the Red Dragonflight, I did. You wanted me to stop the next Lord Admiral of Kul Tiras, I did. You owe me twice."

As the duel began, Daelin, bereft of armor, with raw passion, lunged at the dragon in human form, his blade seeking the creature's heart. The square watched in stunned silence, as, against all odds, the blade found its mark, piercing the dragon's heart.

Everyone was in disbelief...

How was this possible!?
