THE TIRED WIFE

Not long ago, there was a woman who got married to the love of her life. Things were going so fine until two years later.

Her husband no longer cared for her and started coming home late. She was confused and didn't know what to do.

She began to suspect that he was having another woman apart from her which angered her a lot.

After waiting for a whole year, no change or improvements, even her husband starts to ignore her and always tends to 'forget' to buy whatever she asked for. She went to her mother who lived in the next village, for help.

Her mother just smiled and asked her what behavior her husband was showing to her.

"Mama," she said. "I don't know how to start, he doesn't buy wrappers that he usually buys for me every month. He doesn't help me in the kitchen again, in fact, he always leaves early in the morning without eating, sometimes I wake up to see him gone. He comes home late, requests for food and goes straight to bed. No communication, no anything!

Mama, I am tired of him, I think he has another woman that is why he treats me like this."

"You have to be patient." Her mother replied

"Patient? Mama, you talk about patience? I have bore this for a whole year! The sudden and confusing change of behaviors, for a whole year Mama!

How can we have children and bear grandchildren for you, if this continues?"

"What do you want to do now?"

"I don't want any other woman to have him apart from me, and since he doesn't want me, I want him dead.

Give me something to put in his food."

"Dead! I thought you loved him so much and couldn't do without him?"

"The truth is, I love him, but since he doesn't want me anymore and I can't have him, then he should die and then I eat too and die."

"You're just being foolish, my child.

I would rather give you love powder. Apply it to his food every time you cook and give it to him, he will love you more and stop all these behaviors."

"Okay mama, this is much better."

"But, it will have to work if you do some things."

"Anything, I will do anything Mama"

"Wake earlier than him, make food on time, pack them for him to take to work. Welcome him with smiles, praise him and hug him, take his work clothes and wash them, arrange his next day's clothes for him and give him his dinner. Tell him to tell you about his day's work and hug him before he sleeps, then kiss his forehead and whisper goodnight to him.

That way, the powder will definitely work in his body."

"Ah, thank you mama, this will definitely work."

The woman went home and did exactly what her mother told her, she washed his clothes, welcomed him with smiles, listened to him talk about his work, hugged him before he slept. She did all these after applying the love powder to his food.

Gradually, things began to go back to normal, even better than the time they got married. Her husband began to treat her well, come home on time, kiss her and buy things for her every day.

She was happy that the powder began its effect. She went to visit her mother to inform her of the new happenings.

"Mama, everything is going fine now, he no longer comes late to the house, he even comes home during afternoon breaks at work."

"Didn't I tell you? If you did everything I told you that the powder will work and he will love you more?"

"Mama, you were definitely right."

"Now, let me tell you something you must listen to."

"Go on Mama, I am listening attentively"

"The powder which I gave you, was not a love powder, it was actually turmeric."

"I don't understand, Mama. How come he changed?"

"My dear, you see men love it when you show them care and when you appreciate their effort. You treat them like kings and they treat you like queens in turn.

He was changing not because he saw another woman and wanted her, but because he no longer got what was expected from you.

From now on, show him care and love him as best as you can."

Moral lesson: People change mostly because you changed towards them. Treat others right, just the way you want to be treated and they will do the same to you.
