1 Overpowered Newbie - [ Chapter - 1 ]

There was a man named Ho-Seok, he lives in a world where towers mysteriously appeared and they all connected into one place, the place held monsters that humanity has never seen before.

But when the towers appeared so did the system, the system granted each person who entered the tower the ability to level, gain gear or loot inside and at least one special ability.

Ho-Seok's ability was still unknown at the time and the penalty for his ability was already active, whenever he gained experience points it was cut in half, whenever he leveled up his free stat point gain was cut in half.

And whenever he learned a skill the penalty for the skill would be multiplied by 10 and it's strength would be cut in half, even though his ability brought him suffering, he still tried to make a living as a ranker in the tower.

He went to dungeons, monster spawn areas, low-level grinding areas, but that only helped a little bit since of his disadvantage cutting his power and experience gain by half.

One day, Ho-Seok accidentally entered a hidden dungeon and a hidden dungeon was harder than any normal dungeon and it was full of high level monsters.

Ho-Seok tried fighting them even with his disadvantage, he was able to kill a few of them and leveling up allowed him to heal himself but even so there were too many and all of them were too strong.

He died in the end but then a light appeared, it was the system it showed many different dates and times but Ho-Seok wasn't sure what it was but then it said it would automatically choose the oldest saved file.

And when Ho-Seok opened his eyes again, he saw it was the first time he entered the tower and when he checked his player profile it was like it was reset but then he notice there were two player profiles.

When he checked the other one, it held all the skills that he got in his previous life, all the stat points he didn't get and he also received the experience points he didn't get as well and both of those were multiplied by 2.

Ho-Seok couldn't believe it but when he checked his skills he was even more shocked because the penalties were now gone and it's strength was multipled by two, his ability allowed him to stockpile whatever he got in each life.

So from then on, Ho-Seok wanted to live the most luxurious life and become the strongest ranker to ever live in the tower but he was still far from the strongest even with the stats he has since, he was pretty low level in his previous life.

And in his current life, he was still treated as a newbie, he was following a guide because that's how they show newbies around the tower and to get the newbies to know more about the tower.

Ho-Seok decided to cut off from the group and start hunting by himself, a bunch of people saw this and they decided to teach him a lesson but they didn't realize that they wre going to get their selves beaten up like shit.

When they saw Ho-Seok hunting by himself, he showed no regret killing the goblins, horned rabbits and other monsters and he looked like he was used to it and he looked cold blooded to the other newbies that were following him.

So now they were even scared to go near him, but some person had a lot of pride so he went over there to continue to try and teach Ho-Seok a lesson until he stopped since he saw him use fire magic without even chanting.

They were now wondering how the hell is Ho-Seok a newbie who just entered the tower and after a while the guide started looking for them and found them hiding and watching Ho-Seok hunting.

So the guide came up to them and didn't see the face of who they were watching and asked if they were watching an experienced hunter but the guide was shocked to find out the person who was hunting was Ho-Seok.

Since Ho-Seok looked even stronger than the him but since the guide found a talent, he immediately called the guild he was in to try and to get him in their guild because finding such a great talent for their guild, he would be rewarded well.

All the while this was happening, Ho-Seok was frustrated since he could level up or gain that much stat points for every level up but thanks to the strength he got in his previous life he was able to easily clear the lower levels.

And after a while a bunch of scouts from the guild where the guide from came and tried to recruit Ho-Seok but he declined since with his future knowledge they weren't going to be that famous and another guild would replace them to guide newbies.

The scouts were very polite and left and Ho-Seok decided to change his hunting spot so he used one of his movement skills he learned in his past life but when the guide and the rest of the newbies saw this they were shocked.

Since Ho-Seok already knew a skill, even if this was his first time entering the tower, they weren't able to follow Ho-Seok and Ho-Seok went to a treasure dungeon that was supposed to be found in a future date.

And he went around looking for the loot that helped future rankers to become stronger, there were loads of weapons and equipments and he took all of them but there was an item that wasn't said to be there in the treasure dungeon.

So Ho-Seok went closer to it and found it was just an orb and he couldn't read the the description of the item but it suddenly flew to him and a system notification was sent to him.

[Ding! The Player, "Ho-Seok" has acquired a soul-bound item!]

Ho-Seok was surprised after hearing that, and the word soul-bound made him think that the item could follow him even when he goes to a new life and so he tried to check out what does it do.
