2 Ego Artifact - [ Chapter - 2 ]

He tried checking the description on the item again and this time it worked and the description said that it was an item that was owned by Ho-Seok and it couldn't be given away.

He continued reading to the next part and it said it was a S-rank artifact that eats other weapons and artifacts, it will take one ability of the weapon or artifact that it ate but it can only eat one type of that weapon.

Ho-Seok was confused to what it meant at the last part so be tried feeding the the artifact two different sword type artifacts snd it ate it without a a problem and then he tried feeding it two perfectly made iron swords.

It only ate one of the swords and Ho-Seok found out thst what it meant is that it would only eat the weapon'w version once so he couldn't just go back to the past and keep feeding it artifacts.

And it was like there was something that was trying to balance the artifact that Ho-Seok found but he didn't mind since he could at least bring around an artifact that could hold multiple abilities even after he travels with his ability.

And so he kept feeding it different types of weapons and artifacts and there were loads of notifications about the abilities that the soul-bound artifact got but then suddenly something spoke.

『He-Hello?』

Ho-Seok was confused to what spoke since it wasn't the system's voice but it felt similar and so he tried asking who was the one speaking to him.

『I don't know my name but I'm in a dark place, I'm scared.』

And Ho-Seok tried asking if he saw anything else but it didn't answer so he wasn't sure how to help the person, it sounded like a kid and it was scared, so Ho-Seok wanted to help him.

To help the kid he heard he brought out his soul-bound artifact to try and use any ability that could help find the person that was speaking to him.

And he found that he had a finder ability in the artifact and it seemed to got it from one of the other artifacts and so he used it quickly to try and find if there was anyone elese there but it found nothing.

So Ho-Seok wasn't sure where the kid was so he quickly looked around the room again and there was a button he found and so he pressed it and it opened a hidden compartment and it held a sword inside.

『I-Is that you?』

Then Ho-Seok realized he was talking to a weapon with an ego and it seemed like the ego he found was just newly created since it still didn't have a name or had a powerful spirit energy.

『Take me with you, I don't want to stay here, it's scary.』

Ho-Seok felt bad for the ego since he read that egos are just like human souls so it could feel emotions and newly created egos should be watched over carefully since it's just like a child and he told the kid that he was an ego.

『If I'm an ego, I still have no name, Can you give me one?』

After hearing that he decided to name the kid, Calin, since the kid's shy attitude was just like his friend in his previous life but sadly he died a few weeks before Ho-Seok died.

『Ok! Since you named me you have to bring me around now right?』

Ho-Seok really wanted to bring him around but he knew he wouldn't be able to bring since his ability and there is a chance that a different ego would be born if his artifact ate Calin's Sword and he told Calin this.

『It's okay, I'll take that chance, I've been alone for a long time and you look like a good person, do it.』

And Ho-Seok followed his wish but he was afraid that something might go wrong then he heard that he got an ability notification from the system and then he heard Calin's voice.

[Ding! The Soul-Bound Artifact has acquired the ability "Egoistic"!]

『I'm still here!』

Ho-Seok was extremely happy now since he could have someone to talk to if he goes to his next life and so he continued to feed the artifact other weapons and artifact and he put on someone of the armor he found.

But while he was doing this he heard voices of people, he was surprised since his past memories was that the treasure dungeon wouldn't be found this early yet.

So he tried listening closely to them since they were talking and he might be able to figure out why they were there, they said things like "The newbie who was using the skill went in here right?", "It seems like the newbie knew where a treasure dungeon was!".

"Maybe if we beat him up he will tell us the location of more treasure dungeons, hehehe...", this angered Ho-Seok by what they said since he was already bullied in his past life and it was still continuing in this life.

He knew he made a mistake of not hiding his abilities so he tried killing himself but he was still scared, so he asked Calin to quickly kill him and even though he was scared he followed what Ho-Seok said since he followed what he wanted to do.

『O-Okay...』

Calin transformed into one of the sword artifacts that the soul-bound artifact absorbed and sliced Ho-Seok's throat and when he opened his eyes, he was in the sky and the same panel that held the dates was there.

But this time there was only one date, he realized that when the system automatically chose the first date, the rest of the dates were deleted so he had to completely restart his life as a hunter and ranker.

Although with this slight inconvenience, Ho-Seok wanted a new life and he decided he was going to live it to the fullest and he quickly pressed the only date that was on the panel and said, "Let's Go Calin!".
