27.Vicissitude

Lily's eyes grew bigger and Rose could feel something from Lily's feeling.

She quickly runs to Lily, 'Hey! How are you feeling now?'

Talitha didn't know Lily was awake. Talitha placed Lily on the ground. Rose touched her face and was worried to see Lily's expression. She couldn't read Lily's mind because her mind was not stable.

Everyone gathered around her as they were worried.

Finally Rose could understand what Lily was trying to say.

Rose's soul weapon turning itself into several arrows directly pierced through the heart of all the hanging vampires on the trees. All of the bodies were starting to fall at once.

Seeing all of the bodies fall down one by one after getting hit, the knights were surprised. Some vampires tried to flee but couldn't.

Ryba and others caught the rest of them.

The total number of vampires was 20. Rose frowned as all the bodies were being gathered. She had a very ominous feeling. The troop summoned All-eye. Lily by then has fully recovered. They set up fires and camps after getting off the mountain. They were camping in the forest. Mona and Atrisa were kept captivated.

Lily was feeling angry. They won't be able to talk with them anymore.

"Why are they doing this Rose! What has Mona done?!"

Rose sighs, "It was a trap to catch Mona's weakness."

Rose told Lily how the justice wanted to have a hand on Mona's weakness to remove Mona from the Justice.

Rose added, "I think that's not the only case."

"Someone wants to banish her from Monarchy." Lily caught up with Her thought.

Lily was not sure who would want to remove Mona from the Monarchy

"That's what is bugging me. Mona..she is also ok with that…"Rose looked at Mona while letting Lily know that.

Lily was upset, "We can't let it happen. It's ok if she is out from the Justice but banishment?! No!!"

"What can we do, Lily? All-eye is here already and we don't have any evidence that can… " Something gleaming inside the mound of vampire bodies caught Rose's attention.

A shiny object was reflecting that light from the camp's fire. Nobody noticed that.

"Talitha!" Rose summoned Talitha at once and Talitha appeared.

"Take that object that's shining inside the pile, without anyone noticing, and keep it with you until I ask that from you."Rose showed the position that the object was in, inside Talitha's mind.

Talitha agreed, "Ok, Master!"

"Talitha must be surprised to see us talking like this." Lily smiled.

Talitha politely nodded, 'A bit.'

Rose said, 'Better get used to it.'

Talitha didn't know why Rose said that but she accepted what Rose ordered, 'Yes, Master!' Lily said, 'Go now...and make sure the All-eye records it.'

'Yes...Ok.' Talitha became confused but went quickly.

Talitha starts talking with the guards. Seeing the guards blocking her and mistreating her, Lily throws a pebble to hit that guard, 'Oi! How dare you mistreat my knight!'

'Do you want to lose your limb?!' Rose sounded angry.

'She is a demon…' the knight was not afraid to talk back.

'Demon! So what? I have appointed her. She is my responsibility. She is my knight. And do I need to remind you what position a personal knight of a Monarchy holds?' Lily's eyes seemed cold and they couldn't answer her in fear.

Talitha was really surprised at their attitude because she didn't mind that treatment at all. Seeing both the girls got angry, they bowed to Talitha to apologize.

'It's really unnecessary to show me respect now. I know I'm a demon so it's hard. I don't mind.' The guards instantly raised their heads as Talitha said that.

Lily was trying to control her anger now, 'You! Do you think it would suffice if you respect her out of fearing us and not because of her personality?!'

'We..didn't... ' they couldn't lie so stayed silent.

'I am seriously disappointed that you are the knights of Ersetu. Not respecting your comrades.' Rose shouted at them in disappointment.

Benjamin got out hearing the screams. To see Rose get furious Benjamin intervenes, 'Lord Ruan, they didn't get the chance to know her properly. I will discipline them when we get back.'

'You better make sure of that!'

'Yes, Master.' Benjamin politely bows a bit.

'Talitha! Come back, no need to help them to guard those.' Rose commanded

'Yes, Master!' Talitha shoved the knights aside to a way to leave.

Rose and Lily sat down. Talitha came to them and stood behind them.

''Could you do it?" Rose asked to confirm the task was done or not.

Talitha nodded, making Lily smile, "Well done.".

None of them slept that night. But Ryba was sleeping.

Lily said seeing Ryba asleep, 'she is exhausted.'

'Aren't you too?'Rose was worried Lily must have suffered a lot.

'Surprisingly! No!' Lily was astounded.

Rose said, 'She didn't mean to harm you.'

'Ya, I couldn't understand because I was unable to read her.' Lily felt stupid.

'You are relying too much on reading rather than understanding.'Rose sighs.

'Ya, I think that as well. I should stop doing so.' Lily sighs as well.

'Silly!' Rose mocked her.

'You are silly.' Lily mocked Rose back and they were laughing while doing so.

The night passes slowly.

The messenger from the Justice arrived when the daybreak. The fire was still alive burning the sticks. Ryba came out from the tent when she heard the news. In the presence of the Justice, the bodies were burnt down to ashes and they didn't revive themselves from the ashes. The ashes were then buried down.

'I guess we should leave now. We have stayed more than necessary.' Ryba said to Benjamin.

'Master Ruan, I am not saying this out of loyalty but the Lords of Ruan's truly are very reliable. I have seen them and trained them myself, so I know on what level they are at.

Ryba watched Benjamin with her frowning eyes.

'I would like to know that too. How can a mere 10 years old girl have such domination to overpower a Monarch like me?' Ryba was curious.

'Not only you, Master. They have the ability to overpower any Monarch. They are able to see the marks of all the Monarchs they have faced up until now.' Benjamin said with a straight face like it was not surprising.

The astounding face was so visible on Ryba's face that Benjamin had to look at her face twice. Ryba looked at the girls who were talking among themselves. The messenger too was going to travel with them. The troop was about to leave when a tree fell and blocked their way. Along with that something fell down behind Rose. But they all were stunned by the huge tree falling so suddenly in front of them.

Rose felt a breeze touching her hair. Before she could look back two teeth sunk deep inside her neck vein and she could hear the sound of her flesh piercing.

Blood splattered out.

A slight pain started to numb her.

The teeth sink deeper in the vein. Before it paralyzed the whole body Rose's soul weapon cuts the head of the vampire's. Rose then holds the cut-off head removing it from her neck, swears, 'You..damn...stupid bat!!!'

Rose pressed her wound to see it. As she walked, she stumbled and fell for being unable to control her legs. Everyone noticed after hearing Rose. The sight petrified everyone. Her neck was still bleeding out yet Rose didn't stop it.

Rose was banging his head on the stone that was next to her.

Lily rushed out to her and pressed the pierced teeth points firmly. Everything happened within a mere moment that no one could believe. Lily throws the head away from Rose's hand, 'Stop it! Are you ok Rose! How did this happen!?'

'I'm fine. Don't worry about it. I'm healing myself.' Rose said.

Ryba said, 'It's a vampire too. It's her doing as well.'

Rose looked at Ryba who was holding its head now. Red eyes were still open. Vermilion Red vertically slitted eyes are the symbol of demons. Those other vampires didn't have those red eyes. Rose didn't utter any of her doubts.

"Lily, it is a sired vampire and seems different from those vampires."

"What? What the hell are you talking about in this condition! ".Lily was worried.

Ryba asked, seeing Lily's worried face, 'Is it worse?'

'Yeah! I don't know how much the venom has spread.'

Ryba asked Rose, 'How are you feeling?'

Rose answered a while later, 'Bit numb. But it's getting better.'

'Isn't that a good sign? Your regenerating process is working so it will not be a problem I guess.' Ryba was still confused.

Rose closed her eyes, 'Ya. The bite only lasted for a second.'

'But…' Rose didn't let Lily say anything. 'If you could have survived her venom then what can it do to me? It's not even dangerous like her.' Rose said to Lily indicating Atrisa's venom was more dangerous than this vampire's

Ryba agreed, 'That's right! She is the most dangerous one of them. We must not delay to take her to Justice.'

Rose smiles while saying, 'Yes, you are right.'

Ryba asked if Rose was able to walk or not. Rose was ok to walk so they would start the journey. Lily was healing Rose, so she was feeling better. Lily. Mona and Atrisa were sitting in the locked carriage from Justice.

"Are you ok Sayo?" Mona asked,

Something invisible touched Rose's hand which surprised her, "I am. Don't worry."

Seeing the knights process the burning Rose didn't feel comfortable, 'Eklais, don't burn it.' Ryba became astounded, 'Why?'

'Because I don't want to.' Rose said casually.

Ryba was worried as the vampires could regenerate.

'We will keep an eye on it.' Rose said.

'Whatever!' Ryba gave up arguing.

"What's going on?"Lily was not sure what happened.

"I found something." Rose smiles.

Rose was describing everything inside their mind. The pain was throbbing inside her head. Rose ignored that and started to walk. After they got out of the forest, they could teleport themselves to Justice.

'It's been a while!' Rose stretched her body a bit after getting there on the mountain.

Ryba smirked, 'I heard about your trial.'

'Trial?' Lily scoffed and her eyes turned stern, 'It was not a trial. It was a verdict. They wouldn't have listened to us.'

'Ya, I heard that too. Justice sometimes just decides to stay blind in the cases of mixed blood.' Ryba bitterly said that

'What a proud thing to do!' Rose mocked.

Lily and Rose looked at Mona whom they had chained with spelled shackles. Mona's eyes were covered now. The sight of Mona being shackled was making their blood boil. Rose was the most expressive one so her emotion wasn't hidden.

The judges were different from before except Ruan and Ozuru. There were three more judges. Arjeman Cyrus, Toran Shinoda, Kaisar Ibrahim were the new judges.

"So every department has different judges." Lily comments.

'It seems so. Why the Dell house is missing! It wouldn't be fun unless. I want to shred them into pieces." Rose clenched her teeth.

Lily saw Rose's eye, "Rose?!"

"Ya?!" Rose looked at Lily.

Her eyes were turning less golden and in the center of her pupil red color was spreading.

Lily couldn't understand why "Something is wrong with your eyes. Are you feeling ok?" Rose said with a frown, "Ya. Nothing is wrong. Just got a bit of a headache from seeing Mona in that situation."

The judges were entering the hall. Lily, Rose was in the audience seat. The auditorium seating was based on the monarch's position. The first is for Seigneur, then Lord then Master. But they didn't follow the rule. Talitha was standing behind them. Seeing that Erliyen came to them. Rose's shirt had blood stains which Rose didn't bother to clean up. Erliyen touched Rose's neck to see what happened.

Seeing the wound didn't heal, her body shivered which Rose noticed, 'It's ok mother. It doesn't hurt.'

Erliyen became speechless, 'It doesn't hurt?! Are you sure?'

Rose nods with a smile.

Erliyen composed herself, 'Seat according to your position. Ryba is here too. Do you intend to disobey the position?'

'Oh, we forgot that we are positioned before Ryba. Sorry, mother.' Lily apologized.

'She is older than us, that's why we keep forgetting that we have higher authority than her.'Rose mentioned their thoughts as well.

Erliyen sighs, 'Ok. Talitha you go to the knight's side. No need to keep standing here.' Talitha looked at Lily. Lily nodded to permit her.

Talitha obeys, 'Yes, Seigneur!'

After Erliyen left Lily looked at Rose and said, "No matter what, it's not healing. We need to get it out. Why are you hiding it from me?!"

"We can't move until we hear the verdict. There is no one to help Mona without us." Rose was determined.

"But I don't know how long I can keep it like that." Lily's hand shook.

Rose assured her, "It's ok. I will try to hold on if you can't."

The Dell clan, Tao Shin, Lin, and Xen entered the hall. They sat on the audience seat. Seeing Lily and Rose, Lord Dell smirked. Rose smirks back at him. He was startled.

"Good! The perfect Dell is here." Lily said bitterly.

"I'm dying to punch his face," Rose says.

Everybody was in their positions. The trial starts.

Kaiser starts the trial, 'Xen Mona, Seigneur of Clan Xen is being accused of hiding a 'Class Red Vampire' in the Helvellyn hill by Ruan Ryba. Those who want to speak in favor of Xen Mona, raise your hand.'

Lily and Rose raised their hands along with them Lin Ryo did too. Everyone was surprised to see the girls raise their hands. Xen Lisa was silent while looking at them. Ryba was surprised to see the girls stand against Ryba. Ryba never imagined that they came here to help Mona.
