First Energy Drain

Qingqing's hand morphed into a beast-like hand that extended into black claws, with a leathery skin enclosing the flexible clay like skin beneath it. Or so she guessed.

The leathery skin was black in color in contrast to the color of the other parts of his body.

When the claw had fully shifted, the man figure swiped thoroughly at her, backing her against the wall next to the window.

He used both his hammer hand and the clawed hand to attack Diana who had no weapon for self defense.

He kept chasing after her as she tried her best to dodge the beast claws and find something to help her defend herself but found nothing in this side of the room.

She ran to the other wall where she saw a glass vase on the study table.

She got to the table but not faster than the beast who caught up to her and the moment it found an opening, swiped at her face, making a deep gash on her left cheek.

"Ahhhh!" Her hands instinctively flew to her cheek to cover the wound in her face and stop the blood oozing from the opening.

Warm liquid squeezed through her palms as she tried to cover the wound to reduce blood loss while simultaneously trying to avoid further attacks.

The man, formerly know as Qingqing, jumped unto the table causing the table to resonate from the great weight on it.

The glass vase placed almost at the edge of the table shook and fell off the table when QingQing dived at her.

"Ugh!" She screamed as the huge man trampled upon her with his knee on her thigh and the other on her chest region.

She felt inexplicably pain as his knees crushed her ribs and legs.

"Please. Please please please. please let me go" She pleaded while looking at the mentally unstable man that towered over her with a maniacal smile on his face.

" Why are you doing this to me? I never had ill intentions towards you. " She cried with tears that filled her eyes ready join the others that covered her cheeks.

But her pleas fell on deaf ears, instead that only amused the man more.

" I actually never knew I would get to do this.

I mean I never knew such treasure could lay in such a house until I met you. It would be troublesome to leave you walking around in this mansion while on my mission.

My apologies but I have to finish this."

He said faking an apologetic face as his right forefinger which was elongated into a long black fingernail that looked infected, deepened the wound on her cheek by digging into it.

"Ahhhhh! No please stop. It hurts!" She screamed and thrashed while begging for Mercy and help from anyone who could help her but no one came.

" Your blood is such a treasure do you know that? Do you know how many are willing to put their lives on the line for this blood you carry in your veins?" The man tsked as If disappointed.

While she screamed, she was able to slip her hand from underneath the man's left knee.

Her hands roamed the floor for any weapon she could use to injure the creature while it was distracted by her blood.

As her hands roamed the floor, she was able to grab unto a sharp object which she guessed was a piece of glass from the vase which had fallen down when QingQing landed on the table.

Then as if he knew her plans, he deepened his claws into her cheek to a point where she was sure the nails scraped her cheek bones.

"Ahhhhh!" She screamed as her hands flew to the clawed hand that was causing her great torment.

She held on to the huge leathery hand that was twice the size of hers in an attempt to pull it off her throat even though deep down she knew that she couldn't. If he wanted to, she would have been dead long ago.

Then something tremendous happened, the claw digging into her cheek paused and slowly the man before her started loosing color.

The color in his skin drained to a state where she could see the veins beneath his now grey skin that was loosing moisture.

The man's voice rasped in different pitches from the low pitched voice she had been hearing to a feral growl as his eyes bulged while looking down at her with murderous rage.

Slowly his face and hands dried up as well as the energy in his body.

And as the light in his eyes dissipated, his voice died down too.

She watched wide eyed as he dried up and simultaneously felt her body fill up with something she couldn't comprehend.

It came upon her like a forceful wave that made every cell in her body sting.

After his last breath left his body, he collapsed on Diana's body.

Thud.

"Ugh!" She struggled to get the huge build off her.

After she had successfully gotten rid of the icy cold body off her own, She struggled to crawl to the far end of the room as she stared wide eyed at the body on the wooden floor.

Her raspy breaths were the only sounds that filled the scattered room.

She felt her body sizzle with something that made her insides shake in a painful manner.

Suddenly the little sting in the muscles of her body became a kind of pain that made her stomach flip and her entire body resonate.

She felt the blood inside of her vibrate and a combination of things that her body could not decipher caused her eyes to slowly shut and then she collapsed on the floor.

As she fell on the floor she managed to open her eyes again for the last time and the last thing she saw before she completely lost consciousness was the man who now looked nothing human.

It looked like a disfigured, wrinkly mass of dry flesh on bones.

After that, her body went limo and her eyes sealed shut and she lost feeling of everything.
