A Temporary vow of Love
"But nothing," Joon-woo interrupted softly, reaching out to gently touch her arm.
"Na-ri, we've been dancing around this for weeks. Why pretend now?"
Na-ri swallowed, feeling the tension between them palpable in the air. "Because it's easier," she admitted quietly, unable to meet his eyes.
Joon-woo lifted her chin gently, forcing her to look at him.
"Is it easier, though? Or are we just scared of what might happen if we admit the truth?"
Na-ri's breath caught in her throat, her heart racing. She knew he was right. This contract had blurred lines they both tried to ignore, but the attraction simmering between them was undeniable.
"I... I don't know," she whispered, her voice barely audible.Joon-woo smiled softly, his thumb caressing her cheek.
"Then let's stop pretending, just for tonight."Before Na-ri could protest further, Joon-woo leaned in and pressed his lips to hers gently, a silent plea for understanding and acceptance.
Na-ri hesitated for a moment, then melted into his kiss, her hands finding their way to his shoulders as she kissed him back with equal longing.
They broke apart slowly, their foreheads touching as they caught their breath. Joon-woo brushed a strand of hair from her face, his eyes searching hers.
"Stay with me tonight," he murmured, his voice filled with sincerity and affection. "Let's see where this takes us."
Na-ri gazed into his eyes, her heart racing with uncertainty and desire. But deep down, she knew she wanted this just as much as he did.
"Okay," she whispered, her voice barely above a breath. "Okay, Joon-woo."
