52 Chapter 052- Meeting Makise Kurisu

After engaging in conversation with Hashida for some time, Rifat politely concluded their meeting and asked him to leave. Although Rifat could sense Hashida's respect for him, he recognized that building a strong relationship would require time and trust.

So, he decided to patiently wait for the opportunity to arise naturally, when Hashida himself would introduce him to Okabe. Rifat understood that genuine connections take time to develop, and he was willing to let things unfold at their own pace.

Just as Rifat was preparing to immerse himself in other tasks, his attention was interrupted by an incoming call. Glancing at the screen, he noticed that it was the chancellor contacting him. Curiosity piqued, he swiftly answered the call and inquired, "Hello, Chancellor. How may I assist you?"

"I require your presence in my office," the chancellor responded. "There is something I need your assistance with."

"Understood. I will make my way to your office immediately," Rifat replied promptly, acknowledging the chancellor's request.

...

Rifat courteously entered the chancellor's office and greeted him with respect.

"Dean Rifat, I require your assistance in accompanying a group of individuals and acquainting them with our university," the chancellor began.

"Due to our recent surge in popularity, we have caught the attention of Victor Chondria University. They have expressed their willingness to send four of their top doctoral students along with a professor to engage in knowledge exchange with our students and offer free lectures. However, they have made a request in return—they seek your assistance in their research endeavors."

"I have yet to make a decision regarding their proposal. The final verdict lies in your hands. If you deem it unworthy of your time and effort to aid them, I will directly decline their offer. So, I would like to know your opinion on the matter," the chancellor explained, awaiting Rifat's response.

After pondering for a moment, Rifat responded, "I have no objections. Please inform me of their arrival date."

"Thank you," the chancellor expressed his gratitude towards Rifat. Despite holding a higher position than Rifat, the chancellor recognized that without Rifat's agreement, the cooperation with Victor Chondria University would be impossible.

Victor Chondria University held a prestigious position among the top universities in the world. Collaborating with them would not only bring numerous benefits to Rifat's university, but also enhance its reputation.

Therefore, the chancellor was immensely grateful to Rifat for accepting the responsibility of assisting the doctoral students in their research endeavors.

...

A few weeks flew by in the blink of an eye, and Rifat found himself sitting in his office, engaged in a video chat with his girlfriends. Suddenly, a knock at the door interrupted their conversation.

"I'll talk to you guys later," Rifat quickly informed his girlfriends before ending the video chat.

Opening the door, Rifat discovered the chancellor standing before him.

"Are they arriving today?" Rifat immediately guessed the reason for the chancellor's visit.

"Yes, their flight is scheduled to arrive at 10 P.M. tonight. I'm relying on you to take care of them throughout the entire semester while they stay here," the chancellor replied, handing Rifat some credit cards.

"The university has already allocated funds for their accommodation. If you require more, just let us know," he added.

"Alright, I will take care of it," Rifat nodded in acknowledgment.

"By the way, would it be a problem if I allow them to stay at my house?" Rifat inquired. Being a wealthy second-generation individual, he owned a spacious bungalow with several vacant rooms. Apart from occasional visits from his girlfriends, most of the rooms remained unoccupied, except for those he and his maids utilized.

"No problem at all. Do what you think is best. I trust your judgment," the chancellor reassured Rifat, patting him on the shoulder. He was aware of Rifat's affluent background and had no concerns about the doctoral students residing in subpar conditions that could potentially tarnish the university's reputation.

...

As the time drew closer for Rifat to pick up the doctoral students, he contacted his driver and requested one of his ultra-luxurious cars that could comfortably accommodate 7-8 people.

Typically, Rifat prefers to drive his sports car when commuting to the university. However, since he would be picking up five people from the airport, he recognized the need for a larger vehicle that could accommodate all of them comfortably during the journey.

After an hour of waiting, Rifat's driver finally arrived.

"Please proceed to the airport," Rifat instructed, settling himself inside the vehicle.

"Yes, Sir," the driver acknowledged, preparing to drive to the designated destination.

...

Rifat's driver stood prominently, holding a large signboard displaying the words "Tokyo Denki University." He patiently awaited the arrival of the group from "Viktor Chondria University" while Rifat comfortably sat in his car, savoring a cup of coffee.

After an extended period of waiting, a group of five individuals, comprising three men and two women, approached the driver. One of them politely inquired, "Excuse me, are you Mr. Rifat, the one sent to pick us up?"

"No, I am his driver," the chauffeur responded courteously. "Rifat-sama is waiting for you all in the car. Please follow me, and I will lead you to the vehicle." With that, he gestured for them to accompany him as he guided them towards the designated spot where the car was parked.

Upon spotting the group of individuals, Rifat's gaze immediately fell upon three familiar faces. The first person was a man with striking blonde hair and vibrant green eyes named Alexis Leskinen. Rifat remembered him as the antagonist from Steins Gate Zero.

The second person was a young woman in her twenties, her long black hair disheveled and her appearance somewhat childlike. Rifat recognized her as Maho Hiyajo, someone who considered herself both a friend and a rival to Makise Kurisu.

And finally, the last person in the team who caught Rifat's attention had luscious red hair and dull violet eyes. It was none other than Makise Kurisu herself, a name that was very very familiar to Rifat. After all, she used to one of his favourite waifu.

Initially, when the chancellor asked him to accompany a group of individuals, his interest was minimal, merely fulfilling the duty out of obligation.

However, with Makise Kurisu's presence among them, his intrigue was instantly ignited. She was one of his main objectives in this world, making her presence here all the more significant for Rifat.

Observing the group approach the car, Rifat stepped out and greeted them with a warm smile.

"Hello, my name is Rifat. First and foremost, welcome to Japan. It's a pleasure to meet all of you. I'll be your guide during your stay here, and if there's anything you need or any requests you have, please don't hesitate to ask."

Rifat introduced himself while extending his hand for a handshake, addressing each member of the group in turn.
