Ren's POV | New Apartment |

I sit on the sofa as a loli leans on my side...

Fortunately, the Chat Group gave us identities in this world, a bunch of money, and also it has registered us as newbie Promoters and tomorrow is when our Initiators will come

The loli was named Aoi, She was an orphan born after the Great Gastrea War, her mother was infected with Shape Corrosion, a virus that makes the infected people turn into Gastrea, and she was successfully born right before her mother had transformed into a Gastrea

Unfortunately or fortunately, she wasn't chosen to become an Initiator, children born with the Gastrea virus made for war. The Initiators had 2 to 3 times the strength of humans. Even though humanity relies on these children and Varanium, they still hate these children to their very core and very few people actually has morality

I remember that there was an old man taking care of lolis in a sewer but was then killed by a premeditated explosion...I swear I will save all of them!

Her hair is really smooth...I combed her hair with my hand, feeling nostalgic...

I used to do this to my sister when we were children..

Hmf! She purred! She's so cute! she's like a cat!

"Mf?" Aoi stirred awake as she slowly opened her eyes

"Are you hungry?" I asked Aoi

"Nwope!" Aoi cheerfully said as she fumbled on some words

"Well do you wanna come with big brother? Today is the day that out agency will be established!" Ren cheerfully said with a huge smile on his face

"Agency? like the ones I saw on TV?" Aoi asked with sparkles in her eyes

"Yeah, just like the ones on TV! We're doing this because we can save many more kids like you!" I buried her in my hug as she snuggled closer

After I let her out of my hug, she looked down and asked me...

"Like me?...Can you save them big brother?" She made a request I already am about to do

"Of course! I don't want anything to happen to other children" I really want to kill all those horrible human beings—, no, beasts!

My face scrunched up in anger as I feel my anger rising and going to it's boiling point.

"We're back!" Kanesada, Sajuna, and Toka simultaneously said as they enter the apartment we were renting

Toka noticed us first and decided to tease me, with no expression whatsoever, I knew from the first moment our eyes met

"Wow, you two look like you're a father and daughter duo"

"Really? Not even big brother? You directly skipped to father and daughter huh?" This bad woman, I don't even look the slightest of old

"To be honest, you two does look like a father and his daughter" Sajuna chimed in as she pointed at me and then Aoi

"Hey! Kanesada! Don't agree with them!!" it seems like Kanesada also agreed unanimously

The exact amount that the Chat Group gave them was 100 million Yen, which was enough to be able to buy them a small building to make as an office. Promoters essentially are mercenaries or bounty hunters but for Gastrea, and creating an angency allows them to take bigger quests that requires more people

"So you finished all of the paperworks?" I asked them

"Would you even ask that? of course" Toka replied to me

"You wanna visit our new office? it's near our apartment for convenience" Sajuna chimed in

Huh...I guess that's great!

"Then let's go, And we'll take Aoi with us" I wanna show her our new office because she is like our new member

"Come on" I stretched my hand out to Aoi as she took it with her little hand

"See you guys there, I'm gonna fly to there" Brought out my wings and jumped

Aoi closed her eyes due to the air pressure...When she opened her eyes, she saw the expanse of Tokyo near the fluffy clouds

"Woah!" Aoi said with sparkles in her eyes

Aoi was stunned in wonder, processing the beauty of the city despite it's darkness, it was still beautiful for such a young and innocent child cursed by the world

I flew above the sea of clouds, carefully holding her so she won't fall

"Do you wanna try to touch the clouds?" I knew she wanted it, it looked like the marshmallows that the members spoiled her with before

"Un! Un!" Aoi nodded her head as she looked at the closest cloud in front of us

Aoi reached out her arm as she slowly squished the clouds..

"Hn? Why can't I touch it?"

"Of course, the clouds are made of air and water" I explained to this little one

Her mouth formed an O in surprise...she looks so cute! Her cheeks looks so squishable like a marshmallow

I can't take this cuteness, I'll black out! Yes! Looks up instead!

"Big brother what are you doing?" She must've seen me looking up...I look back at Aoi to see her looking up too, trying to find what I was looking for

"Don't mind that, big brother just got something in his eyes, anyway, you wanna go see our new office now?" My redirection is impeccable! hahaha!

"Yep! Yep!" Aoi became giddy again as she focused on another thing

"Then...let's go!" I said as I dived down

"Kyaaaa!" Aoi let out a cute sound as we descend

We landed in front of the building, and saw that all the members was waiting for us

"What took you two so long?!" Sajuna irritatedly asked me and Aoi

""Nothing!"" Aoi and I looked at each other as we laughed

"Haaa! How troublesome" Sajuna sighed as she facepalmed

"Let's go in! I promised Aoi to show the building" I proceeded to shove them to the side, respectfully, and entered the building

""Woaaah!"" Me and Aoi was awes by the impressive designs of the other members

We then went into a very long tour inside the building
