Stack donuts on what? Eh?

Like the rushing wind, I whooshed inside my apartment through the window, of course I was no longer Chaos.

I made it a habit to always change immediately after I'm done role playing as Chaos, wouldn't want someone tracking me down to where I stay.

Anyway, now that I'm back at my hostel, I'll just settle down and rest. I didn't think the meeting would take this long, I'm pretty sure it's 11:30 pm right now.

Closing the window, my eyes immediately picked up an envelope resting on top of my drawer.

"Uhmm?"

I moved over and went to check it out, slowly, opening it I read what was inside.

『Good evening Lord Chaos, you favorite servant Raphael, thought she'd help you feel better this night so I sent a gift over to your place, please do use it as much as you like.. oh and by the way, it might demand a reward』

So the message says,

I wonder what gift she's talking about, and when did she even have time to set this up, we all left the werehouse together…

Oh, yeah, I had to speak with O'niel for a while, still though, why send me a gift this late in the night.

Looking at my door, I sighed before walking over there, opening the door, searched the passage and didn't see a thing.

It was as empty as my chances of getting a love life.

Now she plans on stressing me to find a gift? Raphael sometimes reminds me of that one anime character, unusually attractive but for some reason very annoying.

"Well… back to bed".

Just when I was about to close the door, I heard a voice from the opposite room.

"Uhn? Aether… where were you?"

Asked my friend Orland, his red hair falling in front of his eyes which made it hard to me to instantly tell it was him.

"Training?".

"You were training late in the night?"

"Yes."

'Please drop it already,'

"I guess it's alright, but you might want to stop doing that for a while, news of people getting missing at night has been spreading, it's so bad the royal knights are involved, I wouldn't want you getting spirited away." Said Orland with a smile on his face.

Accidentally, I managed to see the inside of his apartment through the tiny opening, and sitting on the bed was a man, from his size I could guess he was a bit older than him.

Since it doesn't exactly concern me, I'll ignore it,

"Say Orland, did anyone come to deliver anything to my room today?" I asked.

"Oh… yes actually, I couldn't take it to your room, it was way too heavy, any idea what it is?" Orland asked me, opening the door widely for me to walk in.

"A present from my dad back in the capital I guess,."

I made sure I didn't make eye contact with the man seated in the room as I walked in, but even I could tell he was pretty sketchy.

"Here it is… don't worry, I'll lift it up with you."

"Nah don't worry." I chimed in, going to my knees I picked up the box and stood back up, only to meet the frightened expression on their faces.

"Something wrong?" I inquired.

"It took two of us to lift that, and we couldn't even make a nudge, and you're doing it with no stress whatsoever." Exclaimed Orland, with an accusation finger at me.

"Right… good night then."

And with that I was out of the room, I wouldn't want to expand the discussion any more than it already has.

….

Now back in my room, I knelt down in front of the box, the magic threads inside my body forming into a sharp blade, which I then used to slit the box in half.

Not gonna lie, a part of me really wants to see what she got me, in as much as I don't like weapons, seeing an expensive sword might actually change my mind.

Trrrsk!

I opened the box, and what I saw left me speechless, more like … yeah, speechless is the word.

Inside the box, was Quilla, dressed in her usual black bodysuit, except she was wrapped as a present, red ribbons, and flowers all flashed before my eyes.

She looked at me.

And I did the same.

She looked back.

I closed the box.

I immediately stood up, ready to get to bed, but before I could get very far, I sensed Quilla leaping out of the box to get a sneak attack.

So I veered around towards her, my hand at the ready.

As soon as she got near me, I struck her head with the side of my hand.

"Ow!" She mummed, stomping backwards, but her eyes were still fixed on me, I could barely tell what expression she was making with the mask she had on.

"What are you doing, Quilla?"

"Hmm… Boss… I'm here for my reward, Rapheal said I could come take it." She replied.

"Reward?"

"Yes, she said I can stack donuts on it."

"On what? Just go do it somewhere else."

"Hmm uhmmm, no, it has to be with boss!" As soon as she uttered this, she leaped towards me, and of course I dodged it again.

"Quilla… st…"

She leaped towards me again, and thus I dodged. I have no idea why she's so persistent about this. If she wanted doughnuts, then why doesn't she just go meet Rapheal, she has a freaking store.

We kept this up for about an hour, I kept dodging her advances, and she, weirdly enough, kept chasing me around the room.

Until she fell asleep on my chest, while I was lying on the bed, my gaze fixed on the ceiling.

Funny how she's this cute when she's not being a psychopathic stalker.

The more I think about this, the more I realize I don't really understand most of the people in Black Raven… it's like they suddenly developed new personalities as they grow up.

Eh? Was this how my parents felt about me?.

Anyway, I should get some rest, tomorrow is supposed to be the first training for Class B, my class, another rare opportunity to bring my family name up while still keeping myself at an average.q
