1 Chapter 1: The Beginning

Chapter 1: The Beginning

Orario, also known as Labyrinth City Orario is built on top of the underground labyrinth. Centered around the Guild, it is a place where humans and all races thrive together. The city that houses the dungeon is a gathering place for gods. Here, various races live together, receiving the blessings of many gods, joining different familia, making companions, and engaging in adventures, trade, entertainment, and conflicts.

It is the place where many adventurers realize their initial dreams.

At this moment, outside this prosperous city, a silver-haired youth wearing a burlap cloak and a felt hat is absentmindedly staring at the city walls known as the paradise for adventurers.

The silver-haired youth's name is Messiah, a name similar to the holy child in a certain religion.

However, this silver-haired youth has no relation to that religion; it's just a coincidence of names.

Moreover, the background of the silver-haired youth is quite extraordinary yet also very ordinary.

Messiah is not a native of this world; he has crossed over from another world.

In his previous life, Messiah was a member of society who was exploited by the corporate world.

For reasons unknown to Messiah himself, he crossed over to this world and became a newborn baby.

It would be more accurate to say he was an orphan, an abandoned orphan.

After crossing over, Messiah did not see his biological parents; instead, he was welcomed by a kind-hearted old man who adopted him.

The name Messiah was also given by the old man who adopted him, without any special meaning.

The reason for the name was simply the old man's idea; he claimed that the name Messiah came to his mind the moment he saw the boy.

From then on, Messiah survived in the village where the old man lived.

After being initially shocked by his transmigration, Messiah's heart eventually settled down.

The immense pressure of city life in his previous world had always made Messiah live in hardship.

Being reborn into a completely different world, and moreover in a rural area, Messiah felt an immense sense of relief.

Regarding his transmigration, Messiah had no complaints; instead, he felt as if he had received a gift from heaven.

It freed him from a life that felt like a prison with no future and brought him to a peaceful village where he could soothe his scarred soul.

Thus, Messiah lived with the old man.

When Messiah was seven, the old man who had taken him in passed away due to old age, leaving Messiah alone.

Fortunately, Messiah was not an ordinary boy; even by himself, he managed to live well.

With the help of the kind uncles in the village, Messiah farmed the land left to him by the old man and grew up smoothly.

Besides farming to secure his survival, Messiah's only interest after crossing over was reading books.

The old man who adopted Messiah was a rather unconventional elder, to say the least; he was lecherous and often shared his experiences with women in front of the young Messiah, instilling in him stories of heroes encountering beautiful girls, without caring whether Messiah understood or not. Besides that, he also educated Messiah with biographies, telling him stories about special adventurers in this world.

The purpose was very clear to Messiah, who retained the memories of his previous life: the old man wanted to pique Messiah's interest in the profession of adventuring.

If it weren't for the old man's early death, and if his name wasn't Bell and he didn't have red eyes, Messiah might have thought he was a certain red-eyed rabbit.

However, it was clear that the old man did not succeed; Messiah, who had his own will, was not swayed by the old man's ramblings and was not brainwashed by them.

Also, because of the old man's behavior, Messiah realized that the world he was in was actually the world of an anime he had seen in his previous life.

Even knowing that he was in a world he was familiar with, Messiah felt no excitement or agitation.

He continued to live quietly in the village.

Messiah originally thought that he would become a farmer who worked from sunrise to sunset, spending his evenings reading the books and biographies collected by the old man, living peacefully in the village.

However, on his twelfth birthday, Messiah's peaceful life began to change.

The Golden Finger.

The greatest aid for transmigrators.

On his twelfth birthday, Messiah awakened a system.

The Check-in System!!

As long as he checked in at special places, Messiah could obtain various abilities and powers.

Moreover, he could repeatedly check in at these special places.

After awakening the check-in system, Messiah also received a beginner's gift pack.

An opportunity to check in even in non-special places.

Messiah checked in right where he lived.

For his first check-in, Messiah obtained the physical strength of five adults and the endless martial prowess of Uncle Lan, which was a very strong power among ordinary people.

Of course, when saying ordinary people, it's because there are adventurers in this world who have received the blessings of gods and have become stronger through those blessings.

These adventurers, especially the experienced ones, could match Messiah's strength after his first check-in.

After all, even with Uncle Lan's endless martial prowess, in terms of physical strength, he couldn't compare to those powerful adventurers.

However, even with such a strong foundation, Messiah's actions remained unchanged.

He continued to live a peaceful life in the village, working from sunrise to sunset.

Even with the Golden Finger, Messiah had no intention of using it to become stronger.

He enjoyed this peaceful life and did not want to return to the stressful life of his previous existence.

If nothing unexpected happened, Messiah might have stayed in the village forever.

However, one day, the unexpected did happen.

Two months after Messiah awakened the Golden Finger, a group of monsters, whose origin was unknown, attacked the village where he lived.

Even with his strong physique and endless martial prowess, Messiah, who was alone, could not save the village despite his best efforts.

More than half of the villagers fell during the attack, and only half survived thanks to Messiah's desperate rescue.

At that moment, Messiah fully realized that in this world, there were creatures known as monsters.

And to survive in this world, having strong power was essential.

With strong power, Messiah could secure the life he desired.

Therefore, after settling the remaining villagers, Messiah left alone and came here, to the labyrinth city of Orario.

The reason Messiah came here was because of his Golden Finger.

To make full use of the Golden Finger and become stronger, he needed to check in at special places.

And the only place Messiah could be sure of its specialness was this labyrinth city of Orario.

So, Messiah came here.

Not for anything else, but to use the Golden Finger to obtain strong power, enough to live in this world without threats.

To use the Golden Finger to check in repeatedly at this place and become stronger.
