The flicker
At Jacks House
It started as just a normal day for Jack's channel he finished editing his video and published it when he heard a thud from his basement door. All he heard was " Jack..... remember me?" Jack creeper down to the basement. He hesitated to open the door. "Come on I know your out there! JUST OPEN THE DOOR!" Screamed the creature. "I told you to stay down in the basement. Why should I let YOU out?' Jack questioned. There was a deathly silence that consumed the house.
The creature's voice cut through the void "You WILL regret this Jack..." Jack sharply swivelled towards the door. He waltzed off up the corridor up to his living room, where he slouched onto the sofa and held his head in his hands.
"Why me...WHY ME?!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. He hadn't slept in days and he has got black boulders underneath his eyes,his voice was growling he just about managed to get his video up before zzzzt ztt zztttt. All his screens were flickering on and off, his lights flickering uncontrollably. However he hadn't noticed, he was already asleep in his chair at this point.
It had been 4 and a half hours, of his screens flickering on and off, before he actually woke up and realised that something wasn't quite right. His eyes were as wide as the cosmos when he'd realised what was happening around him. He grabbed a wooden sword, that someone gifted him, from his shelf and shuffled towards the door. The door creaked open. All Jack could hear is a load banging sound followed by a series of crashes. He shivered as he traveled down the hallway. He then passed a shiny red button on the wall, that he put there in case of an emergency's. Crashes banging from the basement flickering screens and lights this counts as an emergency . He smashed the red button like a Britain's got talent judge on their red buttons.
As Jack shivered down the hallway towards the basement of doom. The lights were now black if it wasn't for his phone he wouldn't be able to see anything. Jack stopped as he heard something "I told you....you would pay for leaving me here!" Jack hesitated to open the door, but that was where the power generator was. His 'confidence' started to kick in.
"You can do this... you hit the button he is locked away ... he can't hurt you. I still can't let him see me though."jack whispered.
He ducked down to the floor, trying to hide himself until he got to the power generator, and started crawling. The creature was bashing everywhere with the red cover over the top of it that read do not uncover, monster will bite. Jack took no notice and carried on crawling he was so close to the power generator. Then the cage bashed agains the wall again."you can't keep me in here forever Jack I know your here!" The creature spat, "Prepare for when I finaly escape."
Jack ignored everything that it had said and had got to the power generator and fixed it and sprinted out of the room. He locked the door and pressed the button to let the creature out again. "This won't last forever Jack!" That was the last thing that the creature said for now.
Jack slumped on his sofa once again "he's got stronger... he's now stronger than ever.... he's right... it won't last forever."
Jack had collapsed on the sofa due to a nervous breakdown. He then slept for the rest of the night. But the creature does not rest.
