Waking up before the sunrise, Naruto did his morning workout, made breakfast and packed a lunch for him and Nori. After finishing, Naruto played with Nori and informed him that he would be coming back late.

The streets are lively even in the early morning because the academy is opening today.

You could see the faces of everyone, many were excited. Some civilians pray that their kids can get into the Shinobi course, which they themselves dreamed of, while others want their kids to fail the academy because being a Shinobi is brutal and gruesome.

If your family is wealthy, you would want your kids to take up the business rather than become a killer and risk their lives.

During Naruto's walk toward the academy, he was receiving many stinky eyes, while also some young girls were eyeing him, causing Naruto to smirk at their reaction.

Reaching the academy, Naruto waited outside to calm his nervousness.

Taking a deep breath, he stepped inside. Naruto had been waiting for this ever since coming here, and he knew that this was the step to reach the top.

When they think about Konoha, the first thought shouldn't be Hashirama Senju or Madara Uchiha. He vowed to make a name for himself.

'When people think of Konoha, their first thought should be Naruto Uzumaki!' Naruto thought as he was making his way.

Naruto was told to go to the training ground behind the academy to hear Hokage's speech.

Hearing that Naruto will be hearing Hiruzen's speech caused all of his excitement to plummet down.

'Let's get it over with' made his way towards where the speech will be happening with the thought.

┏ Hiruzen Sarutobi POV ┓

I heard there would be many talented clan heirs coming this year. Itachi's younger brother Sasuke Uchiha, another genius, would also be coming.

While Itachi was known as the genius of the Uchiha Clan, I think Shisui was more talented than him and firmly believed in Will Of Fire.

Sasuke doesn't look Emo at all since he neither experiences harsh betrayal nor the downfall of his clan by his dear brother. Watching your parents killed by the person you admired all your life can cause some screws to lose in a person's head.

'Oh, his mom is kind of hot' Naruto thought as he looked at Mikoto Uchiha, the mother of two villains.

Naruto still had time for two years for the Uchiha Massacre. He has time to get close to Sasuke. All he has to do is beat Sasuke up, and he will complain to his brother and mother.

After the speech, everyone said bye to their parents and went inside. Multiple instructors were waiting for the kids to sit down to check if they had chakra or not. Finally, one instructor came to Naruto and signalled him to follow.

Naruto looked at the person and thought 'Look who it is, the famous Chunin who bravely tried to sacrifice himself for his students.'

It was none other than Iruka Umino, who was treated almost like a father by cannon Naruto.

When Naruto went inside the class, he recognised many people. The lazy Nara, whose ears were still red, when his mother twisted them for being too lazy and complaining about going to school. And a fat kid from the Akimichi clan recognises a circle drawing on his cheeks. Finally, a blonde from the Yamanaka clan. The three make the Ino-Shika-Cho trio.

Naruto then looked at Hinata, who was looking back at Naruto with a smile.

Naruto was glad that she wasn't a stuttering mess like in the cannon, Hinata's stuttering and fainting can be cute for some time, but later Naruto could be annoyed talking to her.

Currently, Hinata is not a complete fool, unlike in the cannon, while she still blushes when Naruto and her hold hands or when Naruto is close to her.

Naruto doesn't have any lust for her as she is just a kid, but he knows that Hinata will become a bombshell and a wonderful girl in the future.

"Are you excited about the academy? We promised that I would rank one in the class and that you would be the best Kunoichi. Right?" Naruto asked with a smirk.

"I can see you are excited, at least. *Pout*… but you forgot that I'll get a reward if I become the best Kunoichi in all seven-year academy." Hinata asked while puffing her cheeks.

Naruto couldn't help but pull her cute chubby cheeks, which made her glare angrily, but clearly, he could see a slight smile adorning her face for Naruto's touch of affection.

"Yes, Yes, I know. I will reward you. I haven't forgotten, so do not worry." Naruto said.

The instructor then said "Hello, everyone. I am Iruka Umino, who will be your homeroom teacher for the rest of your academy years. Please stand up and introduce yourself."

Everyone by the desk order started introducing themselves.

Cannon Fodder 1 said "Hi, my name is Cannon Fodder 1. I want to become a Hokage."

Cannon Fodder 2 said Hi, my name is Cannon Fodder 2. I want to be the Rookie of the Year."

Cannon Fodder 3 said "Hi, my name is Cannon Fodder 3. I want to be rich." He will get himself killed sooner than his mother dropped him.

Cannon Fodder 4 said "Hi, my name is Cannon Fodder 4. I just want a girlfriend." He is clearly depressed.

Shikamaru woke up and thought 'What a drag.'

"Name's Nara Shikamaru. My mom made me come here. I like to take a nap and watch the clouds passing by." Shikamaru said.

Everyone looked at him like an idiot but didn't say anything since his father was Elite Jonin, Commander of Konoha. But some laughed, which earned a glare from Iruka.

Choji stood up and said, "*Crunch* *Nom* My name is *Nom* Choji Akimichi. I like to play with Shika and Ino, and I enjoy *Crunch* *Nom* eating *Burp*."

Iruka looking at Choji, who was eating chips while introducing himself, thought 'Clearly, I can see you eating. A Really troublesome bunch I got.'

"Put that chip bag down, Choji and no eating in the class" Iruka said.

┏ Hinata Hyuga POV ┓

It's my turn. I can do it.

Naruto next to me gave a thumbs up. And saying, "do your best.".

Naruto is such a kind person. He always encourages me to do my best. I am blessed to have him as a friend. But whenever I say friend, my heart hurts.

Whenever I see him, my heart beats very fast. I became confident because of Naruto's training, but I couldn't think properly whenever he was around.

Whenever he holds my hand, I become a blushing mess. I even grew my hair since he said he likes long hair.

I felt someone kick my leg when I looked at everyone looking at me, like waiting for something. OH right!

"Hello, my name is Hinata Hyuga. I like playing and training with Naruto *blushes*, and I want to become strong so the person I look up to would acknowledge me. And live a happy life with someone special." I introduced myself.

All the students clapped, and one brave fool even said he wanted her to be his girlfriend.

Naruto looked and thought she was so adorable. Guess the old habits die hard. She did propose to him somehow, but he saved his answer as her reward on the last day of the academy.

Naruto then introduced himself, "My name is Naruto Uzumaki. I like what I like to do, and I hate weakness. It disgusts me. My dream is… we will see."

As you can see, Naruto is currently going through a dark phase, where he thinks being edgy is cool. Sadly he hasn't realised that yet.

Everyone was silent and didn't say anything. You can see a vein popping out of Iruka's head.

Iruka, who was having a hard time stopping himself from bashing Naruto's head, thought 'Deep breath, Deep breaths *Ha* *Oof* This class will be my death.'

"NEXT!"

As Naruto sat down, he looked at Hinata, who was containing her giggles.

Sasuke looked at Naruto and thought 'He wants to be cooler than me? Hump.'

"My name is Sasuke UCHIHA. I like to train and play with my big brother. My dream is to kill… (*Ahem* wrong scene) my goal is to bring glory to my clan" Sasuke glared at Naruto as he sat down.

Iruka then said "Good, everyone's done. Please pick up the book and open page nu …."

Naruto is currently bored out of his mind.

'It's dull and boring! I could memorise and understand the whole book by myself. So I don't need you. I just have to suffer for one year and send shadow clones from next year. After that, it's time to make some minions *Ahem* I mean friends.' Naruto thought.

After class finished, it was lunch break.

"Yo Hinata-chan, let's go find someone to eat with. Um… okay, let's go to that group over there. I think their names are Shikamaru and Choji." Naruto said to Hinata.

When Hinata nodded her head, they made their way.

"Hey guys, do you mind if Hinata and I eat with you guys? My name is Naruto." Naruto introduced himself.

"Troublesome, sure!" Like a typical Nara, he started watching the clouds again after saying.

"Sure, more the merrier. Do you want to share some food?" Choji said. It's all about food for him.

They both sat down and started eating.

Naruto tried to create a conversation with them many times. Shikamaru has a high IQ, so they talked much about the worldview. Shikamaru was surprised at Naruto's intelligence. He even asked him to play Shogi.

While Choji and Hinata had a light conversation about some food, but mainly listened to Naruto's and Shikamaru's conversation.

You may not know, but Hinata is a little glutton. In Boruto, she won a contest eating, outclassing everyone, even Choji, by eating 46 bowls of ramen at Ichiraku.

They went to class after our lunch period, exercised, and ran around the track: nothing extreme and competitive, just some light jogging.
