Chapter 37: The Three-year trip- Year 2 Part 2

Tsunade explained, " The mission went like this...…

Tsunade, who was chilling at home with everyone and drinking the expensive sake Naruto got her when she became the Hokage. She is the Hokage and should be living in the Hokage residence, but she feels warm and safe living in Naruto's house with everyone.

Then, Tsunade took a sip and said, " *Exhale* This is life…."

Mikoto, who was next to her, chuckled and said, " Yeah, it tastes excellent. I wonder where Naruto-kun got it from. So…How's your training going in {Wood Style} ?"

Everyone around them started listening to her. Finally, Tsunade replied, " With my grandfather's notes and Naruto's training method. It's going smoothly."

Karin then asked, " So how does it feel? You are the second person currently who can use {Wood Style}. "

Tsunade thought for a while and said, " It feels amazing, I have always dreamed of using my grandfather {Wood Style}, but I gave up as I grew up. But now that I can use it, it's amazing."

Hinata then said, " So? Any information on Naruto-kun?"

Tsunade said, " I haven't heard from any of the shinobi who were on mission mentioning seeing him."

Hinata sighed and said, " I know he is strong, but I still worry."

After Naruto left, it was difficult for everyone. Especially Mikoto and Hinata, who always stayed with him.

Suddenly a seal that was placed in the living room blinked green. Everyone understood what it was; Naruto created a seal that would sense any people coming toward them.

Green is a person who is already registered as an ally, friend, or someone close to them.

Orange indicated a stranger with no bad intentions but still needed to be wary.

Red indicated enemy.

After looking at the color, they signed. Then, Hinata opened her Byakugan and said, "Kurenai-sensei is rushing towards us with Sakura."

Everyone nodded and waited for them to come up. After a few minutes, Kurenai and Sakura came to the door and knocked.

Haku volunteered to open the door. After she opened the door, she saw Sakura with a nervous expression and Kurenai, who was next to her.

Haku let them come in by looking at their serious expressions. She already knows that Kurenai is Naruto's sensei and Sakura is Tsunade's apprentice.

After coming inside, Haku led them to everyone who was sitting in the living room.

Kurenai, who saw everyone chilling, said, " we have a problem. Genin Sasuke is missing, and Sakura wanted to add something."

Sakura nodded and said, " I was training by running around the village, but I saw Sasuke walking towards the village gates. So I decided to greet him. I asked him where he was going, and he said he was looking for more power and would leave the village."

Tsunade sighed and said, " We have already arrested a suspicious individual who was talking to Sasuke. He was with two other individuals, but they both escaped. When Sasuke was interrogated about what they spoke about, Sasuke said they wanted him to leave with them, and he rejected while having a mini confrontation. So I sent someone to keep an eye on him. But it looks like the Anbu was either killed or captured."

Tsunade when to her room to look at the crystal ball. She then activated it, looked through it, and found a dead body in the woods. She then thought, ' damn it, I didn't trust anyone to give the crystal ball to and brought it back home. But, unfortunately, I forgot to look through it, and now we have a missing-nin.'

Tsunade felt sad that she had brought her guard down. She felt so safe in Naruto's home and the crystal ball that she forgot to check every few minutes.

She then returned to the living room and asked Sakura, " I will arrange a team soon. Tell me what happened after that."

Sakura said, " I tried to reason with him, but Sasuke wasn't moved. So I thought I should capture him before he becomes a missing-nin. The fight went smoothly until a strange marking appeared on his face. Then, he suddenly turned super strong. He kicked me and ran away. I wanted to chase him, but I saw two other people join him. So rather than rushing and dying, I decided to inform you." Sakura thought that when Sasuke powered up, she could at least hold him until other Shinobi noticed their fighting, but two others joined him. She thought that delivering the information was more important such as enemy spies in the village.

Tsunade understood Sakura's reasoning and said, " Good that you informed us. I will arrange a team soon."

Tsunade then went back to the office and informed Anbu to call Kakashi and Asuma. After they arrived, she said

" Kakashi, why the hell did you teach a genin a super-powered assassination technique?" Kakashi was confused and informed the incident about the civilian council.

Tsunade hit the table and said, "What is wrong with the Third Hokage. He is stupid to agree to their request even when they demanded you."

She then asked if Kakashi noticed Sasuke behaving strangely or having thoughts going against the village.

Kakashi said, " I have noticed he become darker after hearing Naruto's achievements. This is because he became a lot power-hungry after his clan was massacred."

Tsunade then countered, " What is his psychological report?" She already noticed a pattern here.

Kakashi looked confused and said, " There is no report. The third said that he is just feeling depressed and there is no need to have him sent to Inochi."

Tsunade then started throwing multiple curses in her mind and finally said, " Kakashi, I received a message that Sasuke defected with enemy Shinobi. The Anbu I assigned for him was found dead. You are going to take responsibility for failing to guide your student even after noticing that he is going toward a darker path. You are to arrange a team of two and hunt him down. Asuma here will be the captain since Kakashi is emotionally connected to Sasuke. Now leave."

Shikamaru, who was happily dreaming about flying through the clouds, was suddenly shaken awake by his sensei in his room.

Shikamaru, who was still sleepy, lazily replied, " Five more minutes, sensei." Then covered his blanket, but he suddenly sensed danger.

He jumped back but still was hit by a frying pan. Shikamaru thought, ' My mother's aim is still the best.' He then looked at his sensei smiling and his mother behind.

Asuma then said, " No time to talk; Sasuke has defected. Kakashi and I are each preparing a team to capture him. Get ready, I will go to Ino, and you inform Choji."

Shikamaru seeing the severe expressions on his sensei's face, said, " What a drag, alright." Asuma then left for Ino's house.

Shikamaru got ready and made his way to Choji. After informing Choji, they both traveled to the village gate.

Kakashi < ------------------------

Kakashi was depressed since he heard the news of Sasuke turning into a traitor. He thought

' Sakura is already ready. Kiba was just informed who else I should bring…Cannon fodder 1? Nah, no way.. he will die…So how about Hinata?"

After Kakashi decided to invite Hinata, then he made his way to the Hyuga compound, but after hearing that Hinata was sleeping over at Naruto's house. So next, he made his way to the Uzumaki compound.

While he came inside the vast compound, his senses were screaming that someone was spying on him. He turned to an Owl staring at him, which creeped him out. He sensed many animals staring at him as he was traveling, but they looked like regular animals.

He has noticed many empty houses. When he reached a huge mansion, he thought, ' Looks like Naruto is rich.' He was mesmerized by its architecture and how big it was.

Kakashi then heard a voice that said, "you are trespassing Uzumaki Clan head residence. So speak." Kakashi then mentioned that he wanted to ask Hinata to join a mission to capture Sasuke.

After some time, Hinata came out and said she would join them. Then they both made their way to the village's gate, which was their meeting place. While on his way, Kakashi asked Hinata, "Don't you find there are a lot of animals inside the compound and aren't they creepy?"

Hinata chuckled and said they are here for some reason that she didn't specify.

All the group arrived at the mission location. Everyone was assigned their position.

Kiba was a tracker, with Hinata and Sakura guarding with Kakashi leading.

Ino-Shika-Cho formed their formation with Asuma leading.

Kiba was able to find Sasuke's scent and started tracking him. He suddenly sensed a kunai coming toward him, and Kiba substituted himself with a log. *boom* The Kunai was attached with an explosive tag.

Kiba, Sakura, and Hinata with Kakashi stopped to look at three people guarding a wooden barrel.

Hinata, who used her Byakugan, said, " Sasuke is in that barrel, and his chakra is transforming; he seems to be getting stronger." Soon Team 10 stopped behind them.

Kakashi looked at the barrel holding Sasuke, then said, " It is probably his curse is acting up, or somehow these three made it evolve. We need to grab him before the processes are finished and seal the cursed mark."

Tayuya cursed " Fuck this shit. I thought it would be easy, but now we have to guard this little shit while fighting two jonin and six genins?"

" Orochimaru-sama anticipated that it would be hard to capture him, so he sent three of us." Kimimaro, Kabuto and Guren came as backup.

Kabuto then said, " Guren and Kimimaro take Sasuke and leave. We will hold them off. "

Asuma then said, " Kakashi stay here with the other. Since Hinata is the strongest genin, she will follow me." So everyone stayed, leaving Hinata and Asuma to follow the two who took the barrel.

Kimimaro, while running, said, " I will hold them off; you run." Then produced bones and threw them at Hinata since she was the weakest.

Hinata, who saw Kimimaro's bones coming, dodged and said, " Asuma-san, I will take care of him; you go." Asuma nodded and followed while dodging Kimimaro, who switched his attacks on Asuma.

Hinata used {Chidori: Sharp spear} a ray of lightning laser launched at Kimimaro.

Kimimaro, who sensed the danger, used the Curse seal first stage, produced bone from his upper arm, and turned it into a shield. But {Chidori: Sharp spear} pierced through the shield and went through his shoulder.

With a bleeding shoulder, Kimimaro threw the shield, made a sword out of his bone, and rushed at Hinata.

Hinata took the stance of {Eight Trigram: Chakra Enhanced Thirty-Two Palms} and opened her Byakugan.

When Kimimaro was in front of her, Hinata rushed at Kimimaro with her attacks. Kimimaro, who thought his bones were stronger, was now being broken by Hinata's chakra-enhanced palms. While he can guess her attack pattern, Kimimaro has broken through many swords by blocking her hands with them. After some time, he realized he was going to lose, so he used {Dance of the Larch} which produced many bones throughout his body.

Hinata jumped back to dodge the bones which are about to stab her. Kimimaro saw Hinata back off, so he used the second stage of the cursed seal. Seeing how strong she was said, " I have underestimated you, but this is the last time I will do that." After using the second stage of the cursed seal, Kimimaro transformed, and thick bones started appearing behind the back and a tail.

Kimimaro then rushed at Hinata with incredible speed and started attacking her. Hinata used {Eight Trigram: Chakra Enhanced Thirty-Two Palms} but now that Kimimaro is at the second stage and covered his inside body with bones was able to defend against her.

Kimimaro deflected her palms and then hit Hinata with his palms, producing a sharp bone stabbing her. Hinata coughed blood and jumped back.

When Kimimaro was about to rush, he was hit with sand and was knocked back.

Hinata turned and saw Garra, who was coming toward them.

Garra saw the injury and said, " Let me take care of him."

Hinata saw Garra helping her and said, " Thank you Garra-san for saving me, but I need this fight to push myself." Said firmly.

Hinata exhaled and said, "{Eight Inner Gates}" then opened it until the 3rd gate. After that, her wound healed, and her stamina recovered.

Kimimaro saw a new person join their fight. He stood up and raised his hand and used { Ten-finger Drilling Bullets} then bullet-sized bones rushed at Hinata and Garra.

Hinata used {Eight Trigrams Palms: Revolving Heaven} to block them, while Garra used his sand.

Kimimaro sensing the rising strength of Hinata, decided to perform {Dance of the Clematis: Flower}. A large bone came out of his left palm and turned into a large lance covering his entire left arm.

Hinata saw that his left arm turned into a large lance that resembled a driller. Then, slowly, chakra formed in her hands and turned into two large lion-shaped heads made out of chakra.

Kimimaro then rushed with his left hand while his right hand's spinal cord turned into a whip to attack.

The Lion gripped the incoming whip with its mouth on her left hand. At the same time, Hinata started preparing the right hand with a charged attack.

Kimimaro saw that he couldn't wrap Hinata with his whip, but he did make her use her left hand. He then rushed with his lance in his left hand to stab her.

Garra, who was watching all the battle, was worried about Hinata since she didn't have a way to block the attack; she could only attack.

Hinata's right lion hand started forming Rasengan. Then, with the Lion shaped chakra and {Rasengan} She rushed at Kimimaro.

When both their attacks made contact, a large wind-wave pushed everything away. Kimimaro's left-hand lance started breaking, Hinata's hands were bleeding, and after seeing her attack breaking the opponent's bones, she pushed the {resengen} in her hand harder while yelling.

After breaking the lance, she pushed the {rasengan} from Lion's mouth into Kimimaro's stomach, which caused him to cough blood and knocked him to the ground, which caused a crater to form under him.

Hinata looked at the knocked-out Kimimaro, who closed his eyes and was lying on the ground. Hinata was breathing heavily; even though she has Kage level chakra, her physical strength can't be compared to a Kage-level opponent though Kimimaro is jonin-level.

Hinata sighed; she then heard Garra say, " Jump." Hinata then jumped and landed on Garra's sand in the air. The whole ground turned into bones.

Kimimaro thought, ' Forgive me, Orochimaru-sama, ' then used {Dance of the Seedling Fern} which produced ten thousand blades of bones that sported from the ground, covering a wide range and reaching into the sky.

Hinata < --------------------

After landing Garra's sand next to Garra, she thanked Garra. Then, with her Byakugan open, she sensed movement from a bone behind Garra and her.

" Behind us" Hinata then yelled. Garra, informed of the attack by Hinata, turned around and used his sand to hold Kimimaro, who was coming from a bone.

Hinata then said, " Hold him," then raised her hand, and lightning started coming from it. Then, with her adrenaline pumping, she yelled "{Chidori}" and stabbed Kimimaro in the heart.

After the fight, they thanked each other. She then met Team 10 back later, who defected the opponents with Kabuto escaping.

After they followed the way Asuma went, they met him on the way. Found out that Guren escaped using her {Crystal Style}.
