Flight

Soon the sun begins to rise and I pull the curtains open. The rays hit me and I can feel new energy seep into my body like a dry sponge touching water. I take off my jacket and pants. I lay down with the sun hitting me with my eyes closed feeling the energy untill noon when Abu wakes up. I send him out telling him to grab something for himself I'll hang out here.

He scurried down the building and I listened as he ran through the streets I could hear his heart beat distinctly. I felt the energy of the sun swirl around me and tried to will myself up. It was easier then I expected and I was quickly floating. It seemed instinctual so I hovered around in my house with the sun shining down on me. Getting a feel for my powers was so fun I waited years for this but the Genie didn't even bother about my questions. He had no concern for if I should know those things or not. Maybe he was just focused on getting his freedom and will stop by to ask eventually. Either way I could go anywhere now and Abu and I will be on easy street.

The day went on and Abu came back he flipped out when he saw me floating. I had a lot of fun messing with him. As the sunset and the power stopped pouring in I figured it was time to see a princess and let her know I was okay.

I put my pants and vest back on and took Abu on my shoulder. We went straight up not too fast about at my old walking speed. I never have to worry about bad joints again! I floated high above the city and Abu clung to my head as we looked over the area. My vision zoomed in on the Palace and I focused on finding Jasmine. She was on her terrace with her pet tiger looking devastated. I floated down behind her and landed softly.

"I still think the view from my place is better." I said with a smile. She gasped startled and her tiger reared up to protect her. She ran up to me and hugged me quickly.

"They said that you weren't in the dungeons so you were already executed. I thought you were killed before I could release you." I looked down at the beautiful princess hugging me and hugged back gently.

"Were those tears for me princess? Didn't you trust me when I told you I was the prince of thieves? No dungeon could keep me away." I smiled at my cheesy line and and thought that might actually be true eventually.

"How did you get out and how did you get here?" Jasmine asked realizing the absurdity of the situation.

"Well of course the mighty sultan had saved me." I said gesturing to Abu.

Jasmine giggled "Oh mighty and powerful Abu you are a true hero. How can I ever thank you."

Abu chitters and gestures for a bit and I say "The mighty Abu" He chitters again and I nod. "Sorry, the mighty and powerful Abu would appreciate the return of his treasure trove with an additional bonus for having to go without sleeping on it for two nights." I laugh and tell him "I'll get you double tomorrow so don't worry buddy." I look back at the girl who has extricated herself from my arms. Seeing the tiger again I say "Hello there. And what is your name handsome?" I say squatting down and extending a hand for him.

"Thats Rajah, be careful he doesn't like men. Or so I thought." As Rajah comes up to and let's me pet under his chin and then rolls over for belly scratches.

"Who's a good boy! Awh he's just a big softy." Jasmine was looking at me side eyed as I rubbed down the tiger who thought it was a dog. "So you asked how I got in here right?" I said setting down Abu by Rajah and watching the monkey pet him as I stood and walked towards the balcony railing. "Would you like me to show you?" I repeat my line while standing on the balcony and looking at her with my hand outstretched I say. "Do you trust me?"

She looked at me nervous, confused and excited all at the same time. "Yes." She says as she takes my hand and I will my tactile telekinesis to surround her. I pull her to me with one hand around her waist I look to Abu and say "Don't wait up." As he is rolling his eyes Jasmine and I start floating up and up until she realizes that we are flying.

I must say not being able to stop yourself from singing is weird. Its a hell of a way to realize that yes you live in a musical universe. I think by taking a flight with Jasmine I triggered the whole new world song. I guess I have been able to avoid all the other triggers for musical moments. I didn't do a street chase with the princess nor did I need the Genie to explain his powers. I was happy to note that my singing voice was beautiful. I also wouldn't complain about having a beautiful woman snug against me as I saw the sights. This Disney world was interesting there were several interesting places we visited including Egypt, Greece, and China.

We sat on the roof of a chinese palace watching fireworks. Jasmine sighed deeply, I could tell she was happy but upset about something. "Whats wrong?"

"Its not fair, I have to mary some pompous prince that I don't know." She said frustrated.

"Well, as a prince of thieves I choose not to take offense to that. Why don't you just ask your dad to change the law he is the sultan after all. That way you get to choose without all this pressure." I say with a smile as she looks at me like I cracked the code to all her problems.

"Thats perfect! We have to get back I must talk to my father." She says grabbing my arm as we stand up.

"Fast route or scenic route?" I ask her as I start to float up.

"Fast!" She says, and I laugh and shoot a portal over our heads and shoot through appearing right above the Palace in Agrabah. "How! We went so far and came back in a instant!"

I laugh again floating down to her balcony. "I have some interesting abilities. Keep me around and you will likely see more." I set her down and look her in the eyes. Seizing the moment I give her a deep kiss and enjoy the far away look in her eyes. "I had a wonderful time princess and I wouldn't be much of a prince of thieves if I didn't steal that kiss." I say smiling. "I'll visit you again tomorrow evening good luck with your father."

She smiles and holds her hand to her mouth and nods happily as I whistle for Abu and take to the skys. "Goodnight Jasmine."

"Good night my prince." I hear her say as I head back home.
