6 Chapter 5: Deeper Understanding of AI and Why You Are So Bad Despite Having a System?? (1)

Author: I want to say that I got positive feedback for this story which frankly motivated me so thank you, you guys are awesome.

================================

Author's POV

Currently in the streets of Seoul, one could see Hanju Gu returning home after his training with Hansu Seong and his session at the gym.

"If this was my past life I would have surely stopped this torture I call training," he thought, mentally cursing his optimism from earlier when he got the idea to find Hansu Seong.

"I wonder if there is a way to track my progress in martial arts according to the AI's data," he pondered.

[AI: Affirmative, it is possible to obtain a follow-up on your progress in a science, martial art or other.]

[AI: But note that it is not reliable.]

"Why is it not reliable??" asked Hanju Gu, frowning slightly.

[AI: First, my estimates of your progress will not be reliable since my database is constantly updated with the information I receive.]

(Author's note: He means that today he may consider the protagonist good or excellent in a field but after receiving new information, these old results will be inaccurate or need reviewing.)

[AI: Second, it would be detrimental to your progress to believe my results 100%.]

(Author's note: Here he wants the protagonist to have a personal judgement of his level in a field rather than rely on the AI telling him "you have perfectly mastered boxing".)

"Wait, wait, you lost me there," he expressed, confused by the information he just received.

[AI: To put it simply, you cannot be 100% sure that my data on you in various fields is or will be perfect since those (humans) providing me data are not perfect.]

[AI: If you agree with that, I can indeed give you an estimate of your training in boxing and taekwondo on a scale of 1 to 100% based on my current data.]

"So if I follow your logic, nothing is perfect and even if I train, I will never really reach 100% but only the 100% of your current data. Is that right?" Hanju Gu questioned seriously.

[AI: That's correct, it's the very reason I'm different from a "system", I cannot give you anything "perfect" but only provide or transfer information and the results of my analysis. Of course the host must practice to perfectly assimilate them and possibly learn more thanks to this data.]

It was a lot of information to digest for Hanju Gu but as a human he could understand the logic behind this reasoning.

"Perfection does not exist in humans, so it's impossible for the AI that assimilates human information every day to provide me with 100% correct answers using them as a basis," he concluded with a sigh, giving up on the idea of obtaining an estimate of his progress according to the AI's data.

Today he had not gone to the north of the Gangbuk district as he had planned and anyway Hanju Gu was too physically and mentally exhausted to care about that.

.

Today again was a day similar to yesterday, boring classes, whispers when he walked through the school hallway and some former underlings trying to convince it to take back his old territory.

"It's a bit boring," he thought outside while having a cigarette, which is a bad habit of Hanju Gu's but unfortunately Mikoto Suoh could not rid him of it.

"I'm looking for you everywhere," said a frustrated sounding voice.

Looking in the direction of the voice, Hanju Gu observed Dahyeon Kim striding angrily toward him with a frown.

"Why didn't you answer me last night?" she said, clearly angry.

"I overdid it a bit with training so I went to bed early, you should understand considering your figure no?" he said, extinguishing the freshly lit cigarette from a few minutes ago.

Upon hearing these words, Dahyeon Kim seemed slightly disturbed for a minute before getting even angrier after processing the information.

"Idiot, my figure is perfectly natural and not the product of any sport!" she said, thrusting out her chest.

"Okay, sorry for relegating you to second place last night but a man's body is similar to a woman's," he expressed, moving away from the wall he was leaning on.

"So? You're not just looking for me for that, are you?" he asked, doubtful that she came all this way just for that.

Hanju Gu is well placed to know what kind of girl Dahyeon Kim is so it's impossible she is looking for him just for that, unless of course she has a crush on him which is impossible for now.

"Yes, I wanted to ask you....."

"BOSS...!" shouted an out-of-breath student voice rushing towards them.

"Why is everyone looking for me today yelling?" said Hanju, shaking his head tired of all this commotion.

"It's...Hyeondong Lee, he's in trouble," he said between two labored breaths.

Although Hanju Gu had only treated Hyeondong Lee as a subordinate and nothing more, Mikoto Suoh knows what an amazing character he is in Questism and it would be a shame to let him stay in trouble.

"I also don't know if the butterfly effect from my actions has started," he thought, leaving without another word, not knowing Dahyeon Kim was following behind.

Author's Note: In this chapter, I wanted to make things clear with the AI. It's just a tool, not Skynet or an isekai protagonist's system, but just a basic AI that works with the means at its disposal.

So if you think the protagonist just has to read medical books to instantly become a divine doctor, you are completely wrong.

He will only know how to treat an illness (and even then he will need to find medicines) so surgery is impossible without practice to assimilate this theoretical knowledge.

In short, I hope my explanation was clear and if you have ideas feel free to share them (I will take note if they are interesting enough) and don't forget to vote with your power stones.
