4 Chapter 3: A little visit at North Gangbuk to help digest dinner

Author's Note: Honestly, the PTJ universe is incredible, especially Questism, unfortunately the protagonist of this manhwa annoys me so much.

And I almost forget, I'd like to be supported by you so please don't forget your power stones, I like knowing my story is appreciated. (I don't have a Patreon and writing for me is just a hobby for now)

===================================

Author's POV

Hajun Gu spent the rest of the day continuing to get his current life in order and lightly exercising with the fruits of the AI's labor which included new information obtained at the library about boxing.

When everything seems in order to his taste, Hajun Gu directly took the road to North Gangbuk. He wore a black hoodie and a mask similar to Arthur Leywin's, otherwise known as the Grey King.

"Apart from having Mr. Hansu Seong as a teacher, I also had to pay a bum at the gym" thought Hajun Gu, determined to become stronger but also slightly worried because of these expenses.

"Anyway after I kick Cheonhak Yang's ass in his bar, I can just take all his money and my savings will be full again" he concluded mentally, heading back to the northern district without much concern.

Hajun Gu couldn't help but thank his past for having some knowledge of North Gangbuk, he was able to arrive at the bar run by Cheonhak Yang without difficulty.

"Who's this idiot?" a random guy murmured with a cigarette in his mouth.

He wasn't the only one since there were plenty of people who were starting to surround Hajun Gu, slowly but surely.

"Hey you, why are you wearing such a stupid mask here?" said a guy who looks to be in his twenties with a metal bat in hand.

"Why aren't you answering?? Did you come here looking for trouble???" He said, bringing his bald head close to Hajun's.

"Get lost" Hajun said calmly but with the loud music, his voice wasn't really very audible.

After finishing speaking, Hajun attacked him with a perfectly executed uppercut. For observers of the scene there was an almost non-existent time gap between when the man had questioned Hajun and when he threw an uppercut at him.

"Indeed my uppercut is nothing like my usual one" thought Hajun, looking at his adversary on the ground.

"The trash attacked Go-Bong!" yelled a person before the music stopped shortly after.

All the staff present stopped their activities which included various entertainment and fixed their attention on Hajun Gu's presence in the middle of the room.

"Nietzsche once said... that unjustified violence is nothing but madness" said a calm voice coming from an armchair at the back of the room.

"So tell me undesirable guest..." he started after slightly leaning towards Hajun.

"What did my subordinate do to deserve this attack from you?" he expressed calmly and eloquently.

If someone observed him, at first glance of his attire and listening to his eloquence, they'd think this man didn't belong in this place.

"Shut up, I didn't come to chat over a drink but to tear you apart" Hajun said calmly, observing his surroundings carefully.

Without waiting another second after Hajun's words, everyone jumped on him with clearly hostile intentions.

"He's crazy, he needs to be stopped!" yelled an individual who ran towards Hajun's back with a bottle he had broken beforehand.

But unfortunately for him, he was stopped in his tracks by a jab to the jaw that will surely leave his dentist with enormous work.

(Author's Note: jab = straight punch with the lead hand (pronounced "djab" in French).)

After a few minutes, almost all the people present were on the ground, unable to continue fighting Hajun who seems perfectly fine, except perhaps for the sound of his slightly irregular breathing.

It was a predictable outcome since before Mikoto Suoh took over Hajun Gu's body, he had been able to unify part of West Gangbuk in the southern district all alone. So, it's not a few unranked subordinates from North Gangbuk who could cause real trouble for him.

"You're really strong and maybe even stronger than me but..." repeated Cheonhak once more despite taking a fist to the temple, a vulnerable area of the head.

"But I'm not ranked 20th in North Gangbuk for nothing" said Cheonhak, rushing to grab Hajun despite the dizzy feeling he could feel.

Hajun was aware that Cheonhak Yang practices judo so he was extremely wary of him to avoid getting grabbed and ending up on the ground.

An enormous number of people underestimated judo in his past life but his experience as Hajun Gu had taught him the horrors of this martial art.

"If he catches me I'll end up with my head smashed into the ground" thought Hajun, remaining vigilant.

Hajun kept dodging Cheonhak's grab attempts while immediately responding with quick hits to stay out of reach of his hands.

"I thought this would be a tough fight but it was too easy for my taste" said Hajun Gu after being able to land an uppercut on Cheonhak which sent him straight to the ground.

"I possibly overestimated Cheonhak Yang's level, after all he was even defeated by Yugyeom Na from West Gangbuk in a humiliating way" thought Hajun Gu, leaving the premises with a bag full of money and valuables from the people he had knocked out.

(Author's Note: Hajun Gu's base level was already good and thanks to the AI his self-taught boxing underwent enormous improvement to make it equal or better than a professional boxer's. So, it's not a character like Cheonhak Yang who has B level speed according to Suhyeon Kim's system that can touch or beat current Hajun Gu.)

"Should I go home to drop off my current loot and then attack Jeong-u Song?" thought Hajun Gu before quickly rejecting the idea.

He remembered that in his past life according to the norm of the Questism protagonist's system, the strength of North Gangbuk's number 19 was much higher than number 20's.

"I'll attack numbers 21 to 30 tonight and next week I'll see if I have time for number 19" thought Hajun Gu, analyzing his situation based on his memories of the Questism comic.

He remembered that the future number 2 of South Gangbuk had been able to destroy North's number 19 after 1 month of training.

Author's Note: Here is how the original Questism protagonist's system shows the power scale:

First: E (below average)

Second: D (you're average)

Third: C (you're above average)

Fourth: B (you're well above average)

Fifth: A (you've entered the professional domain)

Sixth: S (you're among the best professionals)

Seventh: SS (you're a rare case among professionals)

Eighth: SSS (you're a monster among professionals)

Ninth: SR (you're at the champions' level among professionals)

Tenth: SSR (there you've entered the anomalies)

Eleventh: UR (there they're not officially human anymore)

Twelfth: LR (there they're clearly confirmed superhumans, the kind of guy who takes over an entire organization alone)

Author's Note: Know that I'm making this power scale based on Questism characters' feats and titles so it's not really 100% canonically reliable.

For example, Hajun Gu was able to beat several teen gangs and unify West Gangbuk alone (he had S+ level strength at the time and A+ speed and S endurance and some subordinates who had non-zero strength 😒 so I can't include them for this feat) and there's also Jeong-u Song, North Gangbuk's number 19, who won the national youth muay thai tournament and trained to be part of the national muay thai team (he has SR strength, SSS endurance and SR agility).

In short, you get it, my power scale here isn't really 100% reliable.😪
