20 Chapter 18: Unification of the Gangbuk (Final)

Author's Point of View

"I see mister likes playing dirty and luckily there's two of us" said Hanju, sweating a little from the blow to his privates.

Johan was also closely observing Hanju. There were few adversaries of his generation who could pose a real threat to him and he didn't expect to encounter such a person here.

So he had become curious about Hanju.

"Who are you really?" he asked, watching him to detect the slightest flaw in his defense.

"Oh! So now you're interested in me?" said Hanju, removing his shirt to remain only in a black polo shirt in order to facilitate his movements.

"You see, I no longer really feel like telling you, at least not now" he said calmly.

"I have to say you cut off my desire to chat when you attacked me first" informed Hanju, taking the fighting stance most familiar to him.

"Boxing?" Johan thought, looking at his posture. It reminds him of someone.

"Come forward, I'll talk to you after knocking you out" declared Hanju in a boxing stance, looking very serious.

Johan also seemed more eager to talk after hearing these words. The two men understood that in order to get answers to each other's questions, they would first have to beat the other one.

After a moment of observation, the two engaged in a barrage of blows and feints.

"AI, activate sync mode" Hanju thought, noticing that Johan outpaced him in speed and sometimes copied his attacks to throw them back at him.

After activating the synchronization with the AI, Hanju was able to analyze Johan's style and of course find flaws, but there was a problem.

"This bastard is improving by copying me" thought Hanju, cursing this cheating ability.

"I really want to steal his mana and make his strength mine but Johan hasn't reached his full potential yet" he thought, refusing to waste a future meal.

Johan launched a violent jumping kick at Hanju's head but he blocked it using his forearm.

"I may not have Zack Lee's durability after his training but I've had access to one of that idiot Suhyeon Kim's best cards" thought Hanju, gritting his teeth to withstand Johan's blows and increase his chances of violently striking him.

"I have to use the "Healing Bean" ability I copied from Kim thanks to the AI to take him by surprise" Hanju concluded, focusing to seize an opportunity.

While one of Johan's attacks was still connected to his jaw, Hanju caught his kick and threw Johan against a park tree.

" I must admit it,you've got one hell of a kick, but I frequently get those kind of kicks unfortunately" said Hanju bitterly, remembering the devil that is Hansu.

As Johan was about to get up, Hanju lifted the park bench where Johan was sitting before and swung it with all his might toward his head.

"If that's all you've got then I'm afraid this fight won't last much longer" he said, walking towards Johan on the ground, but unfortunately for Hanju that wasn't a good idea.

When Hanju got close to Johan, who was lying on the floor, Johan quickly pulled an "imanari roll" on him to flip him over and grab his leg, precisely his foot.

"If you don't talk I'll take your foot, tell me ALL your information on my mother" said Johan with a murderous look.

"I've been careless" thought Hanju, slightly frustrated with himself for falling for a jiu-jitsu move.

"Have you ever watched a video from the Viral Hit channel?" asked Hanju in a calm voice before grabbing Johan's leg and executing the same submission hold as him.

"You're insane" said Johan, applying more force to his grip but noted that despite appearances, Hanju's leg was surprisingly flexible in its joints.

This was thanks to Hansu who gives enormous priority to flexibility and agility in his taekwondo style.

While Johan was puzzled for a moment, Hanju took the opportunity to remove his shoe and bite him violently.

"Ghhaaaa!" Johan screamed, still trying despite everything to keep the pain under control and remain calm but unfortunately for him, Hanju had no intention of making it easy for him.

Thanks to the sudden pain Johan felt, Hanju was able to lift his other free leg to deliver a violent hammer kick to his face.

Hanju didn't stop there and moved over Johan to rain down a barrage of blows on him.

"I think now there's a clear hierarchy among the trainees" a cheerful voice rang out.

Looking to see where it came from, Hanju was able to spot an individual sitting not far away, drinking what he guessed was alcohol.

"Tom Lee..." said Hanju in a low voice, staring the man in the eyes.

"Yeah, kid, and you forgot to wire the money for the job" he said, approaching them casually.

"You came to see me just for that?" asked Hanju, slightly confused.

"Yes indeed, but I'm happy I got to watch such an interesting fight" answered Tom, taking a swig of his drink.

"I know he's currently your prey, kid, but he's also part of my agency, so I'm going to have to take him with me" he said, picking up an unconscious Johan.

"And don't forget my money" he said, leaving with Johan tucked under his arm.

"Boss, is it okay for us to leave Johan like that?" asked a random delinquent.

"It's not important, I just wanted everyone to understand that there's no one who can oppose me in this district" he informed Hanju.

"Tell Daniel to update me on the results of the Gangbuk unification by phone" said Hanju, leaving surrounded by his men.

"Hansu summoned me" he thought, frowning as he looked at his phone.

Author's Point of View (West Gangbuk High School)

"My lord, we have a problem" declared Jihyeok Jang to the leader of the crew running West Gangbuk High.

"Although Hanju Gu did give us some time, our issue is that he crushed the morale of our troops" he explained seriously.

"Since Johan Seong's defeat, our troops don't seem motivated to want to resist anymore" he declared, looking around him.

Before he could continue, Suhyeon Kim raised his hand to stop him and looked at all the people present, who happened to be the main members of his crew.

"I know all that, but do you have any plan other than everyone training and challenging him to a duel later?" asked Suhyeon Kim with a grave face.

"Unfortunately no" informed Jihyeok Jang, shaking his head in defeat.

"Faced with an absolute force, cunning and intelligence also have their limits, My Lord" he explained sadly.

"I see" said Suhyeon Kim with a sigh.

"Maybe if your sister talks to him, Hanju might listen to her and give you all his territory" suggested Gukja Yang naively.

"Do you picture yourself giving up everything for a woman?" asked Haru, staring at Gukja as if he were an idiot.

"Yes of course" answered Gukja naturally as if it were obvious.

"We'll stick to the basic idea of everyone training on their own and challenging him to 1v1 duels in a month" concluded Suhyeon Kim, ending their meeting.

Author's Point of View (Hansu's Dojang)

"So Hanju, can you explain why my friend is calling me to let me know that I trained a murderer?" asked Hansu with a friendly smile but there were veins popping up on his face and neck.

===================================

Author's Note: So this marks the end of the Gangbuk unification and if you really want to know why Hanju didn't directly beat up Suhyeon Kim and his group:

The reason is self-interest but also a bit emotional:

(Out of self-interest since he wants the copy card that Haru Seong unlocks at some point in the future and out of emotion since, unintentionally, he was becoming familiar with Suhyeon Kim and Dahyeon)
