45 Chapter 45: Atlantis

"They arrived at the city..."

A disembodied voice resounded in an infinite plane full of abundant energies represented in many colors. It wasn't something a mortal mind could comprehend, but a mind with sufficient capacity would be able to observe the laws of the universe itself in this infinite space.

This time, a different voice replied, resounding through this infinite plane. If a regular human were able to listen in, all he would hear was chaotic noises originating from nowhere.

"So it seems. He becomes more dangerous with every moment of his existence passing."

"Moros really outdid himself this time, in creating a threat for us that may even surpass the Ori." A deep, tired voice pointed out.

"Indeed, this new Emperor, Harry Potter, has the biggest natural potential in evolution, even surpassing his own kind, these wizards and witches. But combined with a symbiote to enhance his natural abilities even further, he may even overcome the mortal limits without the need for ascension and see the path further on." One of the voices said, to the confirmation of many others in this infinite plane.

"Fearsome potential he has indeed. But his new personality scares me more." One of the voices agreed. "And his fate is concealed even from our combined might."

"Yes, fate has played a cruel joke on us. One of our own descendants, with so much potential to surpass even us. The potential to reach what we always wished to see, but with a new personality, could decide to enslave us all if left unchecked. If he just weren't influenced by the Goa'uld." The first voice sighed in disappointment.

Silence prevailed through the endless space as the bodiless voices pondered, "We need to do something about him."

"No, we don't even know if he would target us."

"You know the rules; interference is forbidden. Everyone can see where this leads. Now we even have a more dangerous threat at hand than the Ori, all because Moros decided to interfere and do something about them." One of the ancient voices said determinedly. "The rule of non-interference exists for a reason."

"Maybe we don't need to interfere directly; just a few words of wisdom at the right time will create the right circumstances to solve the problem."

Murmur spread amongst the voices, as none of them could come to a conclusion. They had no idea what they should do, as any action they would take was a direct breach of their most basic principle, the free will of each individual—a policy that had caused the break between them and the Lanteans and the Ori millions of years ago.

As Harry stepped out of the Event Horizon of the Stargate, he arrived in a large room, the Central Control of the Ancient City of Atlantis, where the Stargate was located.

The Stargate was the most advanced iteration of the Gate, the one the Ancestors seeded in the Pegasus Galaxy. The gate was silver with a blue inner ring and blue chevrons. You could describe it as a digital version of Stargate, no longer using the mechanical dialing ring of the Milky Way Galaxy. It also had a few more security features than the Milky Way model, but most importantly, the only gate capable of dialing back to the Milky Way Galaxy was here in Atlantis; it had an additional control crystal required for intergalactic dialing.

Not hesitating, Harry stepped further into Central Control, making the lights of the city light up by themselves and creating more space for the people following right behind him, awakening Atlantis from its ten thousand years of slumber.

He could feel the connection to the different control devices in the city. Right in front of him, the steps towards the control consoles lit up, while the rest of the imperial family, followed by the first foot troops, arrived through the gate. Before they could start to bring their vehicles in, they needed to restore the power supply. The city was now drastically running out of power, and it wouldn't take long for the next shields to collapse; in two areas, they already collapsed a few years ago. The last active potentia was reaching critical entropy.

"Take command for now; I will go to the Potentia Room." Harry said this towards his wives as he grabbed the case with the three potentias in it.

Harry sprinted over the stairs that had the old welcome in Ancient written on them, passing the central control consoles, which were still dormant until he activated them with the control chair. which, of course, was only working with the DNA of the Alteran Race; it was a simple way to prevent any intruder from taking control of the city. It was understandable that they deactivated most of the city's systems when they left it in the midst of a war.

He directly entered the transporter next to Central Control in the main tower of the city and used the control panel to teleport to the base level of the tower. The Potentia Hub was located in a room right outside the transporter.

The Potentia Hub was a roughly triangular-shaped device that connected directly into the main power conduit of the city, spreading all the power into the different systems of the city. In Harry's opinion, this is a flawed design; sabotaging this room would disable the whole city. But the main cause of this is probably that the city was designed during peacetime, or that it was also part of the arrogance of the Alteran race that caused them to lose this war in the first place.

Through the control console for the Potentia Hub, Harry raised the two depleted potentias from the device. Both of the translucent orange crystals were completely dark, as the artificial pocket space inside of them was already completely collapsed. The console was indicating that the third potentia was minutes from collapsing itself. Soon, the Central Intelligence of the City Ship would begin to shrink the shields, giving up on parts of the city to extend its life. The most important part of the city ship was the central tower, and the central intelligence would do everything to preserve it.

With a thought, Harry levitated the two empty potentia from their sockets, replacing them with the almost full ones that he made his people gather. Once they were completely sunken into the socket, the energy began to once again spread all over the city, automatically restoring the shields to full strength and encompassing the whole city again, even the two sections that had already collapsed and been flooded by the ocean.

It's just good that they weren't very important parts of the city—just some minor laboratories and some unimportant landing pads for space vehicles. The Central Intelligence was developed in such a way that it would assess the importance of every part of the city based on its systems, energy readings, and structure and preserve it in such an order. From what Harry could see, most of the city ship was intact and would need only minor maintenance. They were fast enough here to preserve most of it. All of its main systems, like shields, sensors, weapons, and stardrive, were intact enough to use but would need some fixing for better power consumption, so would need most of the city. After all, ten thousand years without maintenance would leave their traces, even on a construction created to last. With all three potentia feeding the city, the third one would last a few days, if not weeks, since the burden on it was lessened. Atlantis is, after all, designed to work with three potentia in tandem.
