Star Wars VRMMO

First and foremost: Yes. I drew the cover myself in Microsoft Paint. It is a masterpiece. You're welcome. This is my second work. I thought I'd give a shot at one of those game novels. I've always had a dream of there being a video game where it was kinda like a combination of an MMO and GTA but with Star Wars themes. You'd be able to travel the whole galaxy and have progression that relates to the story. I think it'd be quite interesting. Essentially, I am going to be creating a universe so this is going to be a really fun experience for me. There is gonna be no bullshit with reincarnation. Just pure exploration and luck. I might experiment with different POVs throughout the work but who knows. Lastly, sorry if I make mistakes with the math. I am going to try and keep it as simple as possible. Here is a preview: The year is 2086. The VRMMO market has been taking off in the last 20 years. Each title is more advanced than the previous. Finally, an unknown entrepreneur is creating a game that introduces an AI that fully manages the game independently. This unknown investor has partnered with Disney to create this game within the story of Star Wars. Tyler Sandberg is a 17 year old boy living in New York, USA. He lost his father in a space exploration accident and he has been living with his mother since that happened. Unfortunately, the two have been struggling financially ever since his father passed so they live a modest lifestyle. Since his father was an astronaut, he was always super into sci-fi content. Star Wars was his favorite. After finding out that there was a mysterious VRMMO Star Wars game coming out, he swore that he would make it big in the game and get him and his mom the lifestyle they deserve. DISCLAIMER: All characters, companies, and events in this novel --even those based on real world entities-- are entirely fictional. All representations are made up ... poorly. This novel contains coarse language and due to its content it should not be read by anyone.

Field Test Part I

(Moving is tough. Whole body hurts. Just a quick chapter bc I feel bad for not posting bc I was moving. Enjoy!)

Napoli stood before his line of squad captains like a proud father. "So, dude, what do you think?"

Tyler was standing there with a shit eating grin on his face. He was thrilled with the results of this endeavor. On top of all of this, there should be a group of Revanites ready for combat soon. They are all going through a comprehensive retraining and officer education process to lead the guild as squad leaders. "What do I think?! I can't wait to see them in combat. No one will stand a chance against this shit."

As they were chatting about the possible applications of this new power, a guild member ran over to them. "Guild Leader!"

Tyler turned to him. "What is it?"

The guild member nodded. "The Republic has just received a plea of help from Naboo. Senator Amidala has gone missing."

Tyler perked up on hearing this. "Well, that's my queue. Wait, this is a good opportunity to have the experimentals go through a field test. Napoli, go through the intel on the Naboo Crisis that occurs mid war and narrow down the location. Then have my cruiser scan for underground structures in that area. Meanwhile, I want two squads prepped and ready for my return. I'll be leading this operation personally. It's the least I can do for Anakin. I will be heading to the capital now so please take care of this for me."

Napoli laughed. "Of course dude. It's the least I could do after all you've done for me. I doubt I'd be in this position today if it wasn't for you."

Tyler shrugged as he hopped into his fighter. "R2, off to the capital we go."

-GE-

As Tyler landed in the hangar, Captain Typho rushed over to greet him. "General Draco, we're so glad you could make it this quickly."

Tyler waved his hand in dismissal. "I was already on-world so it's not a big deal in the slightest. Please, tell me what the situation is."

Typho nodded and guided Tyler towards a holotable. "These latest developments have been quite concerning. We definitely never thought we'd have to deal with anything like this. Personally, I thought it was more likely to see droids in the palace again before this."

Tyler raised his brow. "That is quite concerning. Please get to the point, captain."

Typho nodded as they arrived in front of the holo table, turning it on. "Yes, general. We did a robo-lobotomy on the battle droids and came up with this piece of memory."

A noodly fucker with a triangle shaped head popped up on the hologram. The man was wearing a lab coat.

Tyler nearly choked when they saw him. He shook his head and patted his clothes, composing himself. "Who is Dr. Nosecone over here?" Typho chuckled at Tyler's comment. 'Really? I didn't realize this hardass had a sense of humor.'

Typho then continued, gesturing at the hologram. "This is Dr. Nuvo Vindi, the senior medic for the Perma families. He disappeared ten years ago."

Vindi then began speaking. He sounded like a typical Nazi mad scientist. "Good news, my soulless automaton friends." He was gently stroking what looked like a bomb in his hands like a psychopath.

He continued. "We finally have enough of the blue shadow virus to start filling the bombs. We will only need to send one bomb to each key star system. Work quickly!" As he finished, he was flitting his fingers as if he was fondling an imaginary breast. "I want them ready to deliver-" The recording cut off.

Tyler sighed. "Well that's a shit show. How do we stop Dr. Nosecone?"

Typho nodded. "The good news is that Senator Amidala found the lab." He pressed another button and a 3D model of the lab popped up on the hologram.

Tyler rolled his eyes. "I'm guessing that the go-getter went right in?"

Typho chuckled. "I guess you know her pretty well. She did indeed. She sent us the coordinates before she disappeared. We've managed to get a geo-scan of the area."

Tyler shook his head. "I think I'll call this Operation Hugh Mungus."

Typho sighed. "Your reputation precedes you. Moving in, there seems to be three entry points." He pointed at three different spots as they highlighted in red. Then a fourth spot highlighted in red. "This appears to be the main lab." Lastly a fifth area lit up red. "There seems to be an above-average amount of radiation in this area. We presume that the bombs are located here. It's likely where they're being assembled."

Tyler nodded. "Well done, captain. If we can stop this, I'll be sure to have you and your men awarded accordingly. First, let's prepare for the worst."

Typho butted in. "Sir, how do you plan on dealing with the operation?"

Tyler shrugged. "That question is above my paygrade. My associate is handling the plan and preparing my squad. They'll fill me in when I get there."

Typho looked confused. "Ummm, General, but what could possibly be above your paygrade?"

Tyler laughed. "Well, I just pay for everything and pretend to know what I'm talking about. Don't tell anyone I said that though." He winked.

Typho sighed. "Very well then. How should we prepare?"

Tyler nodded. "There should be many guilds stationed on Naboo, yes?"

Typho nodded. "Yes, they are a huge help. What about them?"

Tyler smiled. He'll never miss an opportunity to create quests for other players. "Put out an assignment to have them gather and prepare emergency supplies for a potential virus breakout. Face masks, rebreathers, food, water, we may need all of it. Have them arrange it in various hangars around the planet and ensure that there will be proper coverage in case it does break out. Explicitly say to the guild representatives that they must restrict the information on this as we don't want to cause mass hysteria. Anything I might have missed?"

Typho nodded. "Hazmat suits should be prepared for those who will be organizing the civilians. The last thing we want happening is for those people to become sick and then for disorder to ruin everything."

Tyler nodded. "Great thinking."

Typho smiled. "Speaking of hazmat suits. Will your squad be needing them?"

Tyler shook his head. "We will be fine. We have air tight armor prepared. That way we don't have to worry about being in combat."

Typho nodded. "Good thinking, sir. I'll get that assignment out. I wish you luck, General."

Tyler smiled and turned to walk back to his ship as the quest popped up on his screen. "Thank you, Captain. I'll keep you posted."
