55 The Cardinal Part I

Amidst my feeble attempt at suppressing my shock, a voice that had a distinct Russian accent pierced my ears. "You are Jedi, eh?"

I raised my head, avoiding the urge to vomit from the disgusting presence before me. I spat on the ground next to me before laying eyes on the four Sith Warriors.

Once I did see them, I was completely shocked. There were many possibilities that I had considered. This, however, was not one of them. All four of the Sith Warriors were players.

The man in the lead that spoke before snickered. "This one easy. I handle myself."

I couldn't see much of him aside from a silhouette due to the darkness, but I was able to discern some of his features that resulted from the blasters of my troopers firing. He was bald, very tall, and extremely muscular. His robes barely fit on him and looked like they could tear at the slightest movement. I had a feeling that this was done intentionally.

I chuckled in an attempt to push back my anxiety. "What's with the big muscles? Nothing else to show off when you don't have those robes on?"

The man stiffened for a moment before reaching towards his belt. "You're dead, cyka."

He swung his arm out, igniting a crimson blade as he did so. The only thing the red light revealed was that his robes were black. The rest remained hidden.

I shrugged and reached towards my hips with both of my hands. I grabbed the wooden cylinders hanging at either side and unclipped them. The chill of the inlaid metal that joined the wooden casing to the internal chassis was strangely calming.

I let both of my hands drop into a relaxed position before pressing the largest button on both of the cylinders.

*BZhhhhhhhhhh*

My twin lightsabers ignited, dying my silhouette with a deep purple glow. The silver inlaid metal glowed purple as it reflected the purple light emanating from the lightsaber's blade. The metal twisted around, intersecting with itself and elegantly hugging the dark stained wooden handle. They were masterpieces and, in my opinion, the most beautiful lightsabers to ever grace this galaxy.

I smirked at the man. "Looks like I was right. Your lightsaber IS quite lacking."

His face twisted with anger as he pulled his lightsaber back, holding it behind him before exploding forwards with a surprising amount of acceleration. "AHHHHH!"

His rage sent a wave of cold energy rippling through the force. It gave me a slight chill but my determination felt like it evaporated a layer of frost that had formed over my midichlorians. The force ran through me like a well oiled machine. I felt like nothing could stop me.

I brandished my lightsabers, flipping them both around in my hands as I started slowly accelerating towards the flying baldy. He was kind of like a Russian One Punch Man. I wonder if he was bald for the same reason as Saitama. I decided to keep this comment on deck to piss him off even more at an opportune time.

It took me about a second to break into a sprint as I approached the warrior. His name wasn't important. All I knew was that I would be adding four additional lightsabers to my collection tonight.

*PSHT*

I swung the lightsaber in my right hand towards his overhead strike, deflecting it to my left before following up with a stab using my left handed saber. I watched as my lightsaber appeared as if it would pierce through his torso unhindered.

Then, I suddenly felt the force screaming into my left ear. It was nearly deafening but I could still understand what it was saying. I was about to die.

Like a gale of wind, I twirled the lightsaber in my right hand, moving it to avoid my left handed saber as I moved my right hand across my body. I then locked it in my fist as the blade came into a blocking position just inches from my left ear.

I gently hopped off of the ground, moving towards my right to soften the blow even more before it even arrived. As I was about to land on the ground, I tensed my right arm as pulled my left arm back in order to stabilize my balance.

*PSHT*

Then, what I had been warned of happened. I felt my right hand go numb slightly as a hellish force pressed onto my lightsaber.

Suddenly, an idea came to mind. I laughed internally as I adopted a "fuck it" attitude. So what if I died?

I bent my knees while keeping my right lightsaber locked with his next to my head. After shifting my lightsaber slightly to redirect his lightsaber towards the ground, I jumped up in the air, using the force to enhance my physical capabilities. I soared into the air, but not too much.

Somehow, I managed to jump just high enough so that my hair tickled the bald man's scalp. I completed my flip and landed on the ground about a foot behind him. I then flipped both of my lightsabers into a reverse grip and shoved them backwards.

I smirked as I felt my lightsabers skewer the man. "Seems like One Punch Man isn't so strong after all."

Ahhhh, that one felt good. I really felt like a badass main character right there. Pulling my lightsabers out of his back, I twirled them in my hands and sighed. This stuff was really going to my head, huh? I could only hope that I'd get an ego check sometime soon. The sooner the better.

The gentle crimson glow from his lightsaber that was battling in parallel to us with my purple glow disappeared as his lightsaber deactivated before falling to the ground.

*Thud*

The man fell to his knees with a dull thud as his soul began to depart his body. "How?"

*Shpat*

I didn't even bother to respond as his corpse crumpled under its own weight, his face splashing in the mud. Hearing this, I disregarded the other three warriors staring me down. With an aloof expression, I bent down and picked up his lightsaber.

Having landed in the mud, it was quite soiled. "Ugh, I shouldn't have let it hit the ground. You live and you learn, eh?"

I then turned my gaze to the three warriors remaining. "So, what now?"

The three of them were made up of two men and one woman. The woman appeared the stop forward, taking the role of leader. Despite the darkness, I was still able to see the generous curves that covered her body.

I shook my head, getting those unnecessary thoughts out of my head, I focused on the situation at hand. Boobs will always be there, but life is but a fleeting moment.

The woman looked enraged from the small bits of her face I could see. "We take him together."

I smirked. "Ah, also Russians? Who's next, Putin?"

The three of them quickly ignited their lightsabers and rushed forth, surrounding me from three directions. Then, they just stood there standing off with me as if looking for an opening. There were two on either side behind me and one in front of me.

I nodded, once again flipping both of my lightsabers into a reverse grip. "Coordinated, are we? Well, let's put this encirclement to the test."

I then pressed both of my lightsaber hilts inwards and against each other before twisting.

*Click*

Smiling, I exhaled in slight relief. "Good, it works."

I was now holding a two-sided lightsaber in my hands. I lowered it slightly and then spread my legs. "Your lightsabers will be a fine addition to my collection."

It appeared that my taunting had finally caused one of them to snap. As the warrior to my back right lunged towards me, the other two followed suit.

I smiled, rotating my right foot on the ground before using it as a pivot to spin my entire body. I twirled my double sided lightsaber in front of me, quickly deflecting all three of their overhead strikes.

From this, I could tell that they were all novices. This was probably their first real fight with their lightsabers and I would take full advantage of that. While I didn't have much more experience than they did, even the tiniest bit at the stages the four of us were at would give a massive edge.

After deflecting all of their strikes, I pressed forward towards the female warrior. Pulling my left hand back, I pushed my right hand forwards, causing the right blade of my lightsaber to crash towards her.

*PSHT*

She attempted to block it but was pushed back a few steps from the full force of my body. Having two hands on my saber hilt as well as more leverage gave me a great advantage in power. I didn't stop there.

*PSHT* *PSHT* *PSHT*

I let a flurry of strikes rain down upon her. It was obvious that the power I was pressing her with was too much as she appeared weakened and overwhelmed. Even the panic on her face justified my assumption.

Then, I felt her companions approaching from behind to support her. I quickly turned my focus away from her as I spun to my left, blocking a strike that was about to hit me from behind.

*PSHT*

Our lightsabers collided and were stuck in a deadlock. Unfortunately, I did not have the luxury to cinematically stare the man down as there was another strike coming from what was now my right side.

I reached my hand out and beckoned to the force before tensing my arm. I heard a shallow grunt before I felt my attempt was successful.

*THUDDD*

The warrior that was approaching from my right was sent flying backwards and then rolling through the mud. Looking back at the man I was currently locked with, I decided to thin the herd.

Putting my right hand back on my lightsaber, I twisted the right hilt who's blade was currently free. Separating it from the left hilt, I twirled it in my hand before stabbing it through the Sith Warrior's heart. He was dead instantly.

Despite his lightsaber deactivating and falling to the ground, I ignored it as there were more pressing matters. The man I had sent flying was now covered in mud and barreling towards me with an extreme rage bleeding out of his body. In addition, the woman that I was previously battering was approaching me at a slightly slower pace, although still shaken.

I felt my body complaining as a slight soreness began to encroach my formerly pristine condition. Although short, this was undoubtedly the most intense "duel" I had partaken in thus far. I could only hope that this exhaustion wouldn't be the nail in my coffin.
