Chapter 93

The 2nd group of Jedi did not have as good a time as the Plo and Sha Koon. They had all mysteriously ended up with a bad case of food poisoning due to a mix-up of two very similar looking plants.

One of which was extremely toxic and gave extreme diarrhea. So unfortunately for the Jedi, their trip ended early.

But that did not stop the Senate from constantly sending messages and demanding for the Yuatja to cooperate with their investigation, threatening them with sanctions.

But unlike a hundred years prior, the Yautja were no longer threatened as easily.

If the Republic tried to ban them from their space, Jial was prepared to unleash countless pirates into the Republic Mid Rim to wreck havoc.

He also had control of worlds that provided 17% of the Republic's economy as well as products and materials that could not be found on any other planet, one of which was important for Hyperdrive engines that was 1/5th the cost of a similar material provided by the Trade Federation.

The corrupt members of the Senate as well as those who could not afford the loss in trade would never agree to the sanctions.

Palpatine also had to tread carefully. He had just gotten into position and needed to consolidate his power.

So when it came to offending either the Trade Federation or the Yautja, he would choose the Trade Federation.

So instead, he came to a compromise. He asked for the Yautja to personally investigate the matter and report any leads to the Republic.

Everyone knew that this was just the Republic surrendering but trying to keep their dignity intact but no one mentioned it. It just became another one of the open secrets of the Republic.

With the matter in the back of their heads, Jial was able to return back to his own focuses. And one of those focuses was on the newest group of immigrants and one that Jial had never expected.

A pack of giant wolves were standing before him.

"Greetings, Lord Jial. My name is Fenrir and I am the current alpha of my pack."

The large, black wolf in the lead spoke fluent Basic.

He and the rest of his pack were Loth Wolves. These creatures looked like simply large wolves but they were anything but.

They not only were Force Sensitives but they also had a deep connection to their planet Lothal. Few could see them regularly and fewer even knew that they could speak Basic. Most thought they were simply wild animals.

"Greetings, Sir Fenrir. I never thought I would see a Loth-Wolf off of Lothal."

Jial was truly shocked. He had never thought in his wildest dreams he would see one of them off the planet.

"I can understand your surprise. My people are here for a reason, Lord Jial."

"And what may that be?" Jial asked puzzled

His first thought was that it was related to poaching or kidnapping but the chances of that were minimal.

Every shipment brought into Yautja Prime was checked at least 3 times by different groups and it was impossible to predict which patrol would inspect the shipments.

"As you might know, our people have always been sensitive to the Force but also felt a deep connection to Lothal.

But over the past 2 generations, more and more of us have not felt that connection. That is how I became a leader of a pack so young.

After so many of us felt we did not belong, I got a vision. I saw a symbol."

"The symbol of the Yautja," Jial guessed

Fenrir nodded. His vision had been the symbol now famous across the galaxy.

"Yes. I decided to follow my vision and come here. I brought my pack and the moment we landed, we felt a connection. But we feel a calling further into the east," Fenrir informed him

Jial was sure of what he was talking about. When Gaia had reached her full maturity, she started to develop forests around herself.

The location to the east that Fenrir was speaking about was the first forest that Gaia created as well as the one that she regularly rested in when she was allowed to grow to her full size.

Gaia usually let out a tantrum and unleashed her Servum(mini-plant titans) on whoever entered the forest but he was sure Gaia wouldn't mind the wolves. Or he could at least stop her from kicking up a fuss.

'Easy choice. Let's go with the 1st path.'

"Welcome to Yautja Prime. I'll bring you all to the forest tomorrow. I'll need to soothe the owner," Jial agreed while thinking about taking Gaia on a trip to go hunt

Jial smiled toward Fenrir and extended his hand. The 3 meter tall wolf extended its right paw wheel both shook on it.

"We are grateful to join you all."

[Host's choice is confirmed. Rewards are being implemented.]

A giant pillar of green light shot up from the forest to the east. Everyone could feel the Force radiating from it and it was nearly overwhelming to some.

Every Force Sensitive on the planet rushed out of their homes and turned their heads to the light. They all felt a calling but also were stuck in awe.

Only those incredibly powerful and on the level of Masters and Lords could truly resist the pressure it gave off but they still stayed in place. Instead, they just basked in the glow.

The light also was a beacon to evey other Force Sensitive as well. They all felt the calling. They all felt the power. And with both came intense desire.

The pillar continued to surge for several hours before it finally calmed down, leaving a motes of light all over the forest, making it seem even more magical than before.

'Looks like we are going to have more guests in the future.'
