37 Chapter 37

With the matter of the twins settled, Jial resumed his focus back on Lok.

'My mind has been diverted for too long,' Jial thought while walking toward the Phantom. 'It is time that I end this war for control.'

Even though he was known as the most powerful force on Lok and had even been called its ruler by the Republic, there was still one force that refused to submit to him. Those who had realized that the Yautja was becoming a major threat and were smart enough to retreat formed a massive group composed of dozens of factions that had existed when the Black Sun group left.

Jial wanted to eliminate them but he got a message from Ac reminding him of the original plan. Jial had exterminated far too many groups and made the situation unfavorable. The Black Sun wanted puppets that they could control, not an ally that they had to respect. Lok was supposed to be their Nal Hutta but, as with all things involving them, hidden from others.

Because of this, Jial had let them be. And he still planned to since he wasn't able to repel the Black Sun yet. But after having tasted what it was like to be his own ruler, he had long since abandoned the plan with them. They were each a tool that the other used to accomplish their goals. The only question was: which would no longer need their tool before the other?

Jial started up the engines of the ship before taking it outside of Lok and hovering just above the planet. Once he was at a distance and was sure that no one was around, Jial spoke to the System or the first since it told him about the twins.

'Use the Premium Frigate Summon. I want a Yautja Mothership.'

[Understood, Host. Summoning Yautja Mothership.]

Soon, a large ship appeared before Jial's eyes. It had a unique shape that resembled a Mon Calamari craft but with a few differences. The black color of the ship and the way that the extra set of engines branched off were very different from anything that the fish people would produce. The ship also lacked the shields of most starships but made up for it with its heavy armor, weapons, and cloaking system. It was made for ambushes and surprise attacks instead of drawn-out battles.

Jial piloted the Phantom into the hangar of the ship where he saw 6 smaller ships already parked inside. Those were Yautja Scout Ships. Their capabilities were similar to the Mothership, just on a smaller scale. Each one was about the same size as the Phantom.

With his ship parked, Jial made his way to the bridge of the ship, passing the armory and trophy rooms. While the trophy room was empty, the armory was filled with countless weapons, all Yautja in origin.

'Perfect. I could use some of these,' Jial grabbed a few smart discs for himself. These small discs could attack multiple individuals and return to Jial with a little bit of help from his wrist gauntlet.

During his studies into Sith Alchemy, Jial realized something. Most Sith and Jedi devoted themselves to the Force and their blade work, forsaking other skills. This was why beings like the Mandalorians were able to kill them if they put in enough planning. Once one or both of these were cut off, the Jedi and Sith were usually powerless.

Jial did not plan to repeat their mistakes which was why he was following his own path of incorporating Yautja technology with his own skills. If he used all 3 in conjunction, it would make for a deadly combination.

When he got to the bridge, the first thing that Jial did was engage the cloak. The ship quickly disappeared from view and sensors alike. Even without Stygium, this ship could travel from Lok to Coruscant, blow up a few ships, and return without anyone being able to tell where the attack had come from.

But Jial had other plans for it since he could not leave Lok yet.

'System. Use the Premium Companion Summon. I need a Yuatja,' Jial thought he would try his luck being more specific in his request. So far, most of his summons had been good but he had yet to get a Yautja that he could use.

[Understood, Host. Summoning Companion.]

A blue light appeared before Jial before it was replaced by a 3.4-meter Yautja. The creature was large and imposing but lacked the distinct bio-mask that their people were known for. In fact, he was pretty naked except for a loincloth and two wrist gauntlets.

[Name: Beta-948328

Species: Yautja Hybrid (Yautja, Human, Engineer, Hish-qu-Ten, River Ghost, etc)

Age: 256 Years Old

Personality: Cold

Skills: Assassination

Loyalty: 100]

'Well that's a first,' Jial thought while reading over all of its information. This was the first time that he had seen a summon with only one word describing both its personality and skillset. He could tell that this was not a true Yautja in the traditional sense. This creature was mostly like a Yautja experiment that was sent out to kill on behalf of its masters.

'Probably used a Bad Blood to create it. Either way, this thing is fucking insane,' Jial hadn't gotten what he wanted but it was still better than nothing.

"Beta. Take one of the scout ships and go harass the group on the hemisphere. I don't need them eliminated. Just stop them from growing their power," Jial commanded

Beta clicked his mandibles in agreement before walking off of the bridge and toward the armory. There, it grabbed some supplies before taking them to a scout ship and heading toward its prey.

Jial figured that he could not deal with the other group, he would send someone else to. But his forces were too well known. Everyone under him had been seen by others. So he needed to add something new to the equation. And the Yautja were perfect for that.

He originally planned to send in a Praetomorph to build a hive but he figured that could get out of control too quickly. So he settled for using a Yautja to deal with them. He wanted to launch attacks from the stealth ship at random to disrupt them while also using the Yautja on the ground to give them another thing to worry about. Attacking externally and... well slightly less externally.

Jial brought the ship into orbit above Wyne and had it lock onto his console so that it would constantly be overhead in case it was needed. With his new ship in place and his new assassin on the hunt, Jial returned to the Phantom to head back to Wyne.
