104 Chapter 104
Jial looked at the Jedi and sighed. A ball of purple lightning appeared in his right hand while his left hand was surrounded by purple energy.
Jial fired a Force Burst and the ball if concentrated Force Lightning at the same time.
Mace and the other Jedi tried to defend from the two attacks with a barrier. The attacks struck the barrier at the same time and exploded, causing fragments to scatter everywhere as the power behind the attack sent the Jedi flying outside of the room.
Jial then used the Force to lift the doors and place them back in their positions before using Force Lightning to weld the doors in the place.
Once he was done, he turned to back to Dooku.
"So where was I?" Jial asked rhetorically
Another door blew up from the other side, this time having Jial's strike force that was already on the planet enter.
Caina and Anakin stood in the lead with their lightsabers while David the the Astartes stood behind them with their bolters.
"Oh, right. Jango," Jial reminded him, ignoring his forces that had just burst in. "Hand over Jango so he can face trial for the murders of 7 Yautja members."
Dooku ignited his lightsaber while staring at Jial.
"I don't think so. I must ask that you leave so we can attend to our other guests," Dooku insisted
The other members of the Separatist Council looked at the pair before scattering. Now that the Jedi were attacking, they did not plan to stay around.
The only one who did not flee was Poggle the Lesser as this was his planet.
Each of the leaders went to a hidden elevator that brought them each to a hangar where they left the planet in secret.
That left only 2 members of the Council and Jial to face one another but one side was hopelessly outnumbered.
This changed when over 50 B-2 droids entered the room from yet another entrance and aimed their wrist blasters at the Yautja.
Both sides were at an impasse.
"The Astartes have deployed but we came across a problem. The Grand Army is deploying as we speak and they are having to battle the clones and droids," Cleopatra whispered to Jial
The latter understood that this was not the best position for them. Their numbers were meant to act as a strike team against the Separatist base and not get involved in an all-out battle.
Jial could hear the Jedi attacking the door and knew it wouldn't last long. He couldn't risk battling against over 50 Jedi along with the countless droids running around.
If the Jedi and clones were to join as well, they would take on a large number of losses.
"Fine, Dooku. We came under a parlay so we shall end it here for today. But the next time I see Jango Fett, he shall die by Yautja hands," Jial warned him
He didn't wait for a response before rushing out of the entrance that Anakin's group burst through with the others following behind him.
Dooku watched Jial flee and frowned. He also knew that this was the best move for Jial since Dooku was not confident in escaping if the two were to battle as well.
"Let us be on our way," Dooku looked at Jango and Poggle the Lesser. The group went to a secret elevator in order to visit their own escape hangar.
By the time Windu burst into the room with his Jedi, he was forced to confront the droids present but did not see any member of the Yautja or Separatists.
"Damn!" Windu shouted in anger as he cut through droid after droid
Jial and his group were making their way through the building while killing anyone they came across.
Droids, clones, Genosians, Jedi. Each person fell, leaving a path of carnage.
"Have all the soldiers move towards the evacuation point," Maul ordered over the comms. He knew that it was time to pull out before it got any worse.
But by the time they had reached the outside of the building, they truly saw how bad it was.
Their Astartes were hiding behind rocks and piles of dead droids while firing upon an army of men in white armor or fending off a Jedi.
Not thinking about it, Maul and Anakin jumped to join in the battle, cutting down several Jedi each with their impressive skills.
Thanks go their arrival, the Astartes were able to focus their attention on the clones and walkers that were all around them while the pair handled the Jedi.
Cleopatra also ran off to join in on the fun, taking out Jedi after Jedi while using her allies as distractions.
While they battled the Jedi, she hunted them.
After a few minutes of fighting, the first group of transports arrived.
Jial and the other high ranking members got on board go retreat from the battle while the Astartes held their positions.
Once they were on the ships, the Astartes started to fill them with their injured before the ships took off and returned to space.
This was how the next several rounds of transports operated, loading up the highest ranked members along with injured before filling the rest of the space with abled bodies.
It took 6 rounds before all the soldiers had been successfully extracted.
Once all their soldiers were on board, Sev'rance ordered for their fleet to retreat. They had been stuck between both Republic and Separatist forces.
And while the latter did not fire upon them, they did prevent the Yautja from moving as they pleased.
Once they were in hyperspace, Jial walked over to one of the screens to get a look at the data.
When he saw the information, he slammed his fist onto the table, scaring many of the officers.
"Damn! We lost over 3 thousand Astartes cause of the Republic!"
That was more than 10% of the forces they had brought to the planet. The Yautja had never taken so many losses in a single battle before.
"We will make them pay, my lord," Sev'rance walked over with a heavy face.
Jial shook his head. If they got involved in a battle with the Republic, they would be taking sides and assisting Dooku who was harboring the man that killed his people.
He wanted to remain neutral in the conflict but that also didn't mean he would let the affront to the Yautja go unanswered.
Jial was just about to give a new order when a blue screen appeared before him.
