Chapter 1

A male in his early twenties was lounging on his desk, taking a break from work. He was surfing through the internet while absentmindedly eating his chicken curry.

'This is just the best after hours of monotonous activities.' He happily mused to himself

Visiting some of his favourite wikis about superpowers and different fictional works he finally ends up in a science fiction forum. An anonymous post quickly caught his attention. It was about designing the circumstances of an individual that gets reincarnated into a fictional world. He always loved those what if-situations.

Focusing onto the scenario, he began to read the instructions.

[Welcome fellow enthusiasts of the countless fictional worlds!]

[Today you are presented another scenario to choose the circumstances of an individual reincarnating into one of those worlds.]

[The first person finished, will be given a special reward!]

[The possible worlds for the individual to be reborn range from the peaceful utopia that is Warhammer to the absolute madness that is E.T.]

While this whole situation was only theoretical, the man began to break out into metaphorical cold sweat. Warhammer definitely wasn't his first choice of world.

[The rules are simple.]

[Upon reading and accepting the terms and conditions, the generator with consider a multitude of factors to determine a fair number of points that the individual will get assigned. Furthermore, the fictional world the individual is to be transported into will be chosen upon consideration of past interactions inside this forum.]

'Whoever reads those…' He murmured while skimming further along the text.

[After getting the points assigned, the individual will be expected to spend these points on certain boons in three different categories.]

[1. The Circumstances of the birth of the individual

2. Talents

3. Knowledge]

[Points that aren't spent will be lost and not refunded.]

[One last warning: Keep in mind, that this choice is not to be taken lightly. But if you aren't afraid of even Xenomorphs, please continue!]

'Honestly, that sounds like lots of red flags already. I just hope my character has a chance of survival.' He chuckled, already feeling bad for the protagonist he was about to design.

Without waiting any longer, he accepted and clicked start.

[Congratulations! You are assigned 1503P!]

[Based on your history, the world chosen is the Star Wars universe with a compatibility of 69%! You closely missed the opportunity to live a wonderful life in Warhammer (68%), Alien (67%), Doom (66%) and Terra Formars (65%)!]

"hrewgreg!" Surprised by that ridiculous comment and close call, he choked on a big piece of chicken that was stuck in his throat. After half a minute of suspense and tears already forming in his eyes, he finally managed to swallow it.

He released a long sigh of relieve at that. That was far too close!

'Come on, why am I even taking that so seriously.' He shrugged away the weird feeling he got when he once again focused on the monitor and concentrated on the choices presented before him.

First were the circumstances of the characters birth. The possible selections had a wide range. He could choose every species available in Star Wars. That was absolutely something he had to specify. He didn't think it would be pleasant to end up in a weird body he couldn't adapt to.

Who would want to have tentacles or a testicle chin?

The resulting logical choice was to either pick human or near-human. Considering he can't just spend all his points on the questionably more powerful species, he decided on human and continued. He definitely would be a male, however. There was no need to make it more difficult to adapt.

Quickly choosing to be born into a rich family, he was done with that part. Not specifying a special heritage was already expensive enough. Being born as the family member of the original cast could cost up to 1000P. That's not something worth this amount of point in his books. It was probably made as expensive for certain benefits that could be obtained as well as easily getting into the thick of the plot.

He'd much rather gain other benefits of his choosing that was comparably far cheaper. If he wanted to participate in the main story, he could always do so on his own.

He quickly took a look at the next category. Here he had a ridiculous number of choices when it came to talents. Talents were assigned a certain rank that looked like the following: low-mid-high-prodigy.

For a few hundred points, he could easily become unrivalled in solving Rubik's Cubes or even embarrass his grandmother when it comes to knitting underwear.

All of that wouldn't help in a world of science fiction however, so he began to use the search button for more useful abilities.

He carefully began to select talents that would help his character to grow with the corresponding knowledge that he hoped to acquire in the last category.

He willingly abandoned the option of force sensitivity and powers due to a few reasons. He didn't want to start out in the thick between Jedi and Sith and even if he wanted to lay low, he would walk around with a big target on his back. There were a multitude of other, less personal powers, that would keep him safer compared to some space wizardry. Furthermore, even a low talent in the force would already cost him around 100 points.

Finally, he came into the most important category, in his mind at least, knowledge. Knowledge was after all power and could bring even the strongest individual to his knees if used properly. He didn't search for some big secret or weaknesses however, but for information to help his character grow to great heights.

He quickly cast a look at the points he had left over: 653.

Not enough for the knowledge of whole civilizations, but he could still gain even a little more than what he thought of before. His first choice was knowledge about two spaceships that had very few rivals and would help him a long way in the world of Star Wars. Choosing them, he would even get access to every technology on board, that he could use in several different ways.

His end goal, however? Obviously to combine them and build something even more ridiculous!

The last big chunk of his points went to technology that could help him and a possible faction grow stronger than normal humanoids and even reach a higher level of being!

Satisfied with his choices, he began to look them over before he would submit them. Seeing that he still had a few points left, he selected the knowledge one of the most iconic weapons from Star Gate Atlantis that brought his leftover points from 3 to 0.

Still deep in his thoughts, he didn't see the illusionary silhouettes of several smiling individuals behind him until everything went dark.

The last thing his monitor showed was a message that slowly faded away.

Hello there, I have a few days time and thought of writing a bit. It is obviously inspired by similar fictions. Constructive criticism is always welcome. Have a nice day!
