Star Wars: Time the Tampered

With Ian's answer and the system's confirmation, the dungeon-like mirage disapparated and Ian was back in the Junker's village.

Ian's time in the 'test' had changed him. It was if there had been something squeezing his mind, subtly and gradually contorting his consciousness until he became someone different. A person that was controlled by their own evil, and now, without that extraneous burden, he felt light, as if he had full command over his own mind, all the way down to his subconscious. It was... Euphoric.

There was still a sense of fear festering in his psyche though, his worry for the Junkers and over the time that had passed in the test. Ian's eyelids fluttered for a few moments, struggling before opening, and he took in his surroundings.

It had remained... Static. Apparently nary a moment had passed as the Junkers all stood in similar, if not the same positions, still chanting for justice in an affirmation of their furore.

Ray's hulking ghostly image floated in front of Ian, blocking this sight, "You passed then, hmm... Good. You have some talent in Bogan, boy. Do you wish to start your lesson now? I warn you though, the time dilation is only for certain tests, or if you..." Ray paused, before continuing, "Ugh nevermind, are you ready or not?" He finished.

Ian didn't initially respond, he brought his hands up to eye-level and with a little bit of anger, and a lot of focus on his part, sparks of electricity began to dance between his fingertips. "Is this what you were going to teach me?" he asked, whilst entranced by the beauty of his newfound power.

A deep furrowed frown spread across Ray's brow, "Impossible! No matter how talented you are, you can't just learn force lightning unless... Wait! You said you were killed by force lightning in your past life?" Ray asked.

Ian met Ray's gaze, and the light show on his fingers ended, "Yes, Its at least a possibility, why?"

"It's not a possibility, but a fact boy. Force lightning can only be learnt by those that have experienced it. Those that have had it coursing through their veins, singing their flesh, tempering their soul."

Ian digested this information; thinking over the possible implications, and while he did so, a silence had spread out, first between Ian and master Ray, and then through the armed ranks of Junkers as they finally noticed Ian.

The spreading silence snapped Ian out of his thoughts and he looked around to see an army of Junkers staring at him, and some of them even pointing their weapons in his direction.

Ian suppressed the urge to raise his hands and yell, 'don't shoot, don't shoot'. Any sudden movements could inadvertently lead to a Junker with an itchy trigger finger firing at him. He had been in enough precarious situations to learn that the hard way.

In a calm and measured voice, Ian began speaking, his eyes focused on Werrin, "King, if you could kindly ask your people to lower their weapons, I come in peace. No, more than that, I've come to help you. Your elder... Jent saved my life, and as you said earlier, even if he's dead I intend to pay back my debts."

Werrin was stumped, the small alien could unexpectedly speak his language, and in the crowds below, confusion was etched upon many of the Junker's faces. "Sir, what should we do?" One of the Junker guards shouted out.

"Err, lower your weapons, he's is, um... was a friend of Jents," Werrin called out hastily, not wanting his mob 'army' to shoot the strange off-worlder child that Jent had brought in.

"Make way, make way..." Ian could hear someone in the crowd shouting, and wearing a long robe, with a deep concealing hood, The Doc pushed through. "Jedi, ma-boy you're still here. Glorious. Is their anyway you can you contact your people, the monster that... that..." The Doc broke out in tears, " That killed Jent... It's one of your people's enemies; a Sith, and with your kinds help, I'm sure we can kill it."
