1 Prologue
"Congratulations! Due to the amount of karma points you earned in your life your soul has been selected by the reincarnation system. Meaning you get a second chance!!"
What?
No seriously, what?
I'm...dead
But I don't feel like it. Yet the male voice in my head just told me I am.
As I thought about the situation I find myself in I suddenly remembered getting hit by a bolt of lightning and then everything going dark.
Meaning that is likely how I ended up in this situation.
"So it's true. I really did die." I said.
"Yep. You're deader than a doorknob. For now that is."
The voice suddenly spoke in my head. Scaring the shit out of me.
Fuck!!
"Language!"
The voice said. Sounding exactly like Chris Evans from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as it did.
Strange.
But then again this entire situation is strange.
"Yes, yes. Listen I know this situation is strange. But I've got other things to handle, so if you could maybe help me move things along that would be great."
The voice spoke with some snark. No longer sounding like Chris Evan.
I would take offense to that normally, but since this thing is going to help me get a second chance at life I would be an idiot to piss it off for as petty a reason as that.
"Oh. I see you're a smart one. Just for that I am going to give you a special reward. But before that there are other things we need to take care of. So, are you ready?"
"I am." I replied.
"Great. Now let's begin the reincarnation process. First step, world selection."
The voice spoke. Then I suddenly saw a list of worlds I recognized.
[Mass Effect]
[Naruto]
[Demon Slayer]
[Pokemon]
[Star Wars]
"The world's you see displayed before you have been selected from your preferences. So go ahead and choose the place you want to live your new life in. But remember, you only get one chance. So choose wisely."
The voice explained to me.
Giving the voice the mental equivalent of a nod I stared at the list before my eyes and began contemplating which of them I would reincarnate in.
While I loved all of them I crossed Demon Slayer off the list immediately. Since I wanted to live in a world a bit more modern.
After thinking some more I realized how I always wanted to travel amongst the stars. So I eliminated Pokemon and Naruto from my selection choices, leaving me to either pick Mass Effect or Star Wars.
Which made my decision simple.
[Star Wars Universe has been selected!]
It was a childhood dream of mine to live in the galaxy far far away, and now that I have an opportunity to do so I would be a fool to let it pass me by.
"Ok. Now that you have selected your world it's on to step number two."
The voice said.
[Race Selection]
The moment after the words echoed in my mind a long list, consisting of the species of the Star Wars universe, appeared before me.
Weeqay.
Genoshian.
Wookie.
Zabrak.
Etc.
The list of species went on and on. There was even an option to be an interspecies hybrid.
Which did sound cool, but I opted not to go that route.
Instead I decided to remain the way I am.
[Human race has been selected!]
Yeah, no offense to the races of the Star Wars universe but I would like to have a body where I know where all the important parts are located and how to work them.
So I am going with human for my race.
"A little bland, but I understand your reasoning. Ok, time for step three."
[Era Selection]
[Old Sith War Era]
[New Sith War Era]
[Clone Wars Era]
[Galactic Empire Era]
[New Jedi Order Era]
Well for me the first two era are already a no go.
I only skimmed the official wiki when it came to those two points in Star Wars universe history.
Most of what I know about them is from playing KOTOR and SWTOR, and even then I can't remember all that when on in the games.
The Galactic Empire Era is also a no go. Since I don't want to live in the Star Wars universe where Palpatine is large and in charge.
Leaving me two options.
While hanging out with Luke and his New Jedi Order does sound amazing I always hated how they were lacking knowledge and techniques from the Jedi of old.
I mean I don't know if reincarnating means I can become a Jedi, but on the chance I can then there is only one era I would select to live in.
[Clone Wars Era Selected!]
The Clone Wars Era.
The one I know best. Having watched the television series and all six movies religiously when I was a kid.
I even watched it into my adulthood before I died. I also read the comics related to the Clone Wars and learned much about the EU version of that time by skimming the official Star Wars wiki. So I know most of the players of that era the best.
Plus compared to the other era's` it's relatively safer.
Sure, there is Palpatine and a few others but during that era he hasn't come out of the closet, to the entire galaxy, as Darth Sidious yet.
Meaning I can have more freedom to move about if I am force-sensitive.
So yeah, Clone Wars Era for me.
I just hope it's more in line with the EU than canon since I don't want to deal with that First Order bullshit. Which totally ruined the new trilogy for me.
The less said about those three movies the better.
"Again playing it safe, but again I can understand why. Now, time that special reward I mentioned earlier. A little starting bonus to help you out."
[Family Name Selection]
[Valorum]
[Antilles]
[Shan]
[Qel-Droma]
[Sunrider]
Seeing the list of names appear before me I was left speechless. Since not only are all of them prominent families in the Star Wars universe, but three of the families on the list are force-sensitive ones that have produced some of the most powerful force users in Star Wars history.
Now I get to choose to be part of one of those families.
"Surprise! This is what you get for respecting me and not complaining like others who end up selected by the reincarnation system like you were. So go ahead and choose. Ps: Should you choose one of the force sensitive families on the list you will also become a force sensitive."
Once the voice told me this I immediately crossed Valorum and Antilles of my selection list and focused all my attention on the other three family names.
I then went to work choosing which one to select.
But it's not easy.
Each of these force-sensitive families have produced legends. I would be happy selecting any of them.
After five more minutes passed and I realized I couldn't make a choice among the names I decided on a simple solution.
Random pick.
So closing my eyes I picked a name, and once I did I opened them to see the choice I made.
[Sunrider family selected!]
Sunrider huh.
I can definitely work with that.
"Alright. With family name selection out of the way you only have a few more steps left before you begin your new life. Here's the next one."
[Age Selection]
[0 years old]
[2 years old]
[4 years old]
[8 years old]
[16 years old]
Compared to the other selections before this one was a no brainer.
[8 years old selected!]
I definitely did not want to end up as a baby again, especially if I keep get to keep my memories of my previous life.
On the other hand I didn't want to start out as a teenager again.
Thus I hit the sweet spot of eight.
"Alright. Now just one more part to go."
[Name Creation]
Looking at the screen I realized it wanted me to create my own first name.
So I did.
Deicing to go with the name I had in my previous life, since I think it won't be out of place in the Star Wars universe.

[Name Acceptable: Yes/No]
I selected the 'Yes' without any hesitation.
I then had to pick my own hair and eye color.
So I went with blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Okay. You're all done. Now I will send you off go your new life. Don't lose it too soon. Bye. Also, remember, the pain will be over before you know it."
Wait, what was that last part?
I asked.
Then immediately found out as my body began hurting with a pain I didn't even think was possible.
I screamed at the top of my lungs until my body was engulfed in light.
Then it exploded and all I saw was darkness.
