97 Chapter 94: Prologue To A Campaign

[Auril Sector, Adega System, Ossus]

(Van: POV)

Sitting in one of the newly constructed facilites on Ossus, courtesy of my Dominicus comrades, I ate breakfast.

Alongside my mother and grandmother.

It's been over a month since I met them both on Ottethan.

Once we did I brought them both back to Ossus and began explaining my life so far to them. Including my goals, the adventures I've been on, etc.

This left both Neema and Vima shocked.

But once that shock wore off they accepted me for who I was, and I them.

Since then the healing, reconnecting, and reconciliation has been slowly but surely progressing.

Like coming to terms with why Neema handed me over to the Jedi Order when I was a baby.

Then there is the mother-daughter bond Neema and Vima have been re-establishing. Which involved a lot of crying, admissions, and hugs. Many, many, hugs.

But thanks to all of that and a little bit more, the three of us are slowly turning into a real family.

For instance, Vima even shared with me how's she still alive despite being born in 190 BBY, and it's not solely because of the Force.

Turns out Vima's father, my great-grandfather, was 1/8th Sephi. Which is the race in the Star Wars universe that resembles elves. They have pointed ears and can live up to hundreds of years naturally.

But back to my point.

Vima didn't inherit much of her fathers' Sephi DNA, considering how miniscule the amount was, but she did get a slightly longer lifespan. Add to that her connection to the Force and it's no wonder she's still alive, and lived well into the ABY years in the original story.

Vima also informed both me and my mother that we might also have slightly longer lifespans than normal humans due to being her direct descendants.

So that's cool.

Finishing up breakfast I went to the Star Wars universe version of a sink and cleaned my plate. I then turned to face Neema and Vima. "Well I'm off."

"See you." Neema told me.

"Goodbye, grandson." Vima replied.

Once they did so I left what was Neema and Vimas' home and headed for my own.

Greeting the Ysanna tribesmen I passed as I did so, since they greeted me.

Which is a big step up from when we first met and they started worshipping me like they did Kento's group when I first sent them to Ossus to investigate the planet, and save master Ood Bnar.

Even though they had no idea about the latter objective.

For there was no way I simply just going to let the old Neti Jedi master stay as a tree.

His knowledge and experience were just too invaluable to waste. Not to mention he is great boon for the Jedaii Order. I also can't wait to see how Palpatine and the Jedi Order will react when we reveal master Bnar's existence to the world one day.

Though that will only be after the Galactic Systems Alliance is firmly established.

For if not certain elements *Sidious* might try and do whatever they can to get rid of master Bnar, and I'd rather not have the man looking over his shoulder every single moment of the day.

Hence the wait on re-introducing him to the galaxy at large.

A thing he doesn't mind in the slightest.

Especially since he's been so focused on rebuilding the Great Jedi Library and even training Anakin and the other younglings, who at the moment other than the 'Chosen One' are all children of the Ysanna.

We haven't been able to recruit any other younglings yet.

But again, everything is a process.

Just like establishing Ossus as the Jedaii Order first base/praxeum.

For there will be others.

Like Yavin 4.

But there's no way I'm going there until I am absolutely sure I won't get my cheeks clapped by Exar Kun's Force ghost.

Because that guy is not noe to kriff around with.

I am fairly certain the only reason Luke's New Jedi Order in the original timeline prevailed against Kun was because of plot armour.

Which I probably have a little bit of, but not that much. That's the reason I haven't attempted to permanently defeat Kun yet.

For if he should prevail and do some weird shit like possess my body, I don't even want to think of the damage he could cause. The same with any other member of the Jedi or Jedaii Order.

That's actually one good thing that happened when the New Jedi Order took on Kun. None of them had the knowledge of the Force or its techniques that Jedi and Jedaii do right now.

Because if Kun should take control of an experienced master of the Force in this era, like I said it's not something I want to think about.

So yeah, no Yavin 4 yet.

But someday.

Arriving at my home I went inside, and then went to my room and jumped in the Refresher before changing clothes. Getting ready to head out again immediately after I did.

But not before heading over to the bed and giving both Yennali and Serra a good morning kiss.

As well as making sure they were tucked in.

Since I made sure to give both my ladies a workout last night, and it has left them dead tired.

Not that I'm bragging or anything.

My lovers tucked into bed I left our shared dwelling and headed for the communications center that was recently built by our allies in the forming Galactic Systems Alliance.

Entering one of the secure conference rooms I got comfortable in a seat at the table and waited.

For I am about to attend a meeting with some of my allies.

A few minutes passed, and then four life-size holograms appeared.

The one being Dooku.

The second one belonging to one of the GSA's biggest political supporters so far, Ivor Drake.

The third is of a Cathar male. He stands 1.8 meters in height and is dressed in the officer's uniform of the Galactic Systems Alliance.

His name is Rasyk Purgum. A general in the Galactic Systems Alliance army, as well as the current Supreme Commander of the Galactic Systems Alliance Defense Forces.

Which he definitely deserves in my opinion.

Rasyk first got his start in the Judicial Forces hunting down pirates and slavers across the Outer Rim Territories. He then later became a Special Tactics Trooper, which is the Judicial Forces version of a special forces unit. From reading his file I know the Cathar has seen action on many fronts, and his troops both fear and respect him.

The fourth and final individual is a human female. She stands at 1.85 meters in height and is also dressed in the officer's uniform of the Galactic Systems Alliance. The woman has short light-brown hair, light-brown skin, and gold-colored eyes.

Her name is Dalinat Killest.

A rear admiral in the Galactic Systems Alliance navy, and part of our still developing 1st fleet. Who is considered a rising star in the GSA navy, with a lot to offer. A thing I agree with since Killest is only a decade older than me and is 27 years old.

Originally from the planet Bastion in the outer rim, Killest graduated at the top of her class from the Anaxes War College. She then went on to join the Judicial Forces as a starfighter pilot. Her talents and drive making a lot of people take notice of her.

Though her career became stalled when a superior officer from a well-connected Coruscanti family got a little to handsy with her and Killest decided to introduced her left foot to his balls.

Repeatedly.

Thus she was held back from promotions she deserved, until she found her way to us.

Now here she is.

You know Killest actually reminds me a bit of Odile Vaiken.

Makes me super glad she's on our side.

"Greetings to you all." I spoke.

"Yes, greetings." Dooku spoke.

The others then greeted me as well.

"So colonel Sunrider, why did you call for this meeting?" General Purgum asked me.

"As you all know last month I ventured to Ottethan in the Halthor Sector and rescued my mother from being killed by the leader of the Ottethan Empire. The warlord, Leoste Truyork. Who I ended up killing." I explained.

Having given a small report to my allies on the incident. So it wouldn't come back to bite us in the ass later on.

Though I certainly left out the fact Leoste was my father.

"Yes. I think all of us here read the report you wrote on the incident." Dooku spoke.

The others nodding their heads in agreement.

"Right, well since Leoste's death his lieutenants have been fighting to take his place as leader of the empire." I explained. Having gathered said information myself. "This in turn has turned the Ottethan Empire and much of the Halthor Sector into a highly dangerous section of space. Which I wish for us to fix. To put it simply I called this meeting today to propose the GSA military undertake a campaign to the Halthor Sector and deal with the various factions of the Ottethan Empire." I said.

No one speaking after I did.

Ivor being the first to break the silence.

"To what end?" She asked me.

"To save the lives of the innocent people getting caught in the crossfire within the Halthor sector due to the fighting, and in turn potentially bring the Halthor Sector into the Galactic Systems Alliance." I explained.

For pretty much all the sectors in the galactic north have already agreed to join the Galactic Systems Alliance, save for a few.

Like the Chorlian Sector, which is under the control of the Zygerrian Empire.

Which I know the GSA will have to deal with eventually, but that' for future me to handle.

"While I think your idea has merit colonel Sunrider, I'm sorry to say out current forces are not enough to undertake the operation you are seeking to perform." General Purgum explained to me. "Yaga Minor, Mon Cala, Ord Trasi, and Botajef have only just started full production of ships and starfighters for our fleets after agreeing to officially sign on with the Galactic Systems Alliance." He spoke. "Currently we have nowhere near the resources, nor the manpower, to launch an extensive military campaign into the Halthor Sector, nor any sector of space."

"Understood General." I replied. "So, do you perhaps have an estimate on when we might have the resources and manpower to launch such a military campaign?" I asked.

Since I will not back down on this.

I mean the Halthor Sector is only in this mess since I killed that piece of shit father of mine. So I need to make it right.

Sure, I could probably have tried to become ruler of the Ottethan Empire myself, but then I would've had all the bastards that worked for my father gunning for me. A thing I did not wish to deal with.

This way I'm going for is much easier in my opinion.

Use excessive violence to wipe them all out.

"Six months to a year." Daliant answered.

Causing general Purgum to turn in her direction and give her a look. But the young rear admiral didn't flinch under his gaze in the slightest.

Seeing that his glare wasn't working general Purgum stopped it and turned back around.

"What rear admiral Killest says is true. By my own estimate six months to a year is the time it would require for us to have the resources, and manpower to launch a campaign into the Halthor sector. Though the question still remains, should we?" General Purgum spoke. "If we do this the Galactic Republic would most likely take note and we are still not prepared to reveal the Galactic Systems Alliance to the galaxy at large."

"Then I suppose that mean we better hurry and complete our preparations faster." Dooku mused. "For did we all not start this endeavor to perform actions like the one young Sunrider is suggesting? Helping those who cannot help themselves." He said.

"I concur with Count Dooku." Ivor spoke up. "The Galactic Systems Alliance is going to help those who cannot help themselves. So we should do so for the Halthor Sector. If they choose to join us in the end so be it, but if not that is their choice. But at least we will have given them the right to make that choice."

"This campaign will need a lot of planning." General Purgum said.

"Then it's a good thing we have a lot of time." I said.

After I did so the five of us discussed a few more details, before finally agreeing to begin preparations for a military campaign into the Halthor Sector within the next year.

Which will be the first official test of the Galactic Systems Alliance Defense Forces.

I can't wait.

A/N: Both Raysk and Dalinat are OC characters.

As you know I don't do OC's characters too often, but when I do they are important to the story.

Stay tuned for more.
