56 Chapter 53: The Yinchorri Uprising Episode V
(3rd Person: POV)
As more and more Yinchorri warriors flooded into the northern chamber, through the hallway leading to the temples nothern entrance, the Jedi moved to engage them.
Soon the entire chamber was filled with the sounds of battle.
The Yinchorri on the losing side of said battle from the beginning.
For the Jedi had the advantage and numbers and had already gathered some intelligence on the Yinchorri fighting capabilities.
Giving them an edge.
Despite this the Yinchorri refused to back down and continue fighting.
Using his lightsaber to deflect blaster fire from a Yinchorri flying above him, using one of their species flight packs, also known as a flutter pack for its insect-shaped wings, Van waited for his chance.
Then when he saw it he raised his free hand in the direction of the Yinhorri firing at him from the air and squeezed it closed.
When Van did this the flutter pack the Yinchorri was using compressed, for Van had used his telekinesis to make it happen.
The second after it did said Yinchorri began falling towards the ground.
As it did Van moved to where it would fall, and then used his lightsaber to cut off the Yinchorri's head, right before it touched the ground.
His enemy defeated Van prepared to move to help his fellow Jedi.
Only to stop when he saw Serras' lightsaber's flicker out after she tried to slash the shield of the Yinchorri she was facing.
The shield in question being made out of Cortosis.
One of the few lightsaber-resistant materials in the entire galaxy.
Cortosis can even short out lightsabers.
Which is what happened to Serras' just now.
Putting a grin on its face the Yinchorri in front of Serra moved to shoot her.
Though before it could Van used his telekinesis to pull Serra towards him.
"Ah!" Serra yelped.
But Van ignored her.
Pulling Serra into his free arm he started using his lightsaber to deflect the blaster shots the Yinchorri who had just tried to murder Serra began firing in their direction.
"Am Van." Serra mused.
"Not now Serra, just a bit busy." Van quickly replied.
Still deflecting the Yinchorri's blaster shots shooting at them as he did.
Then when he saw his chance Van deflected a blaster bolt from the Yinchorri weapon right back into the weapon itself.
Making it useless.
Seeing this Van charged forward and used his lightsaber to once more behead a Yinchorri.
Once he did he let go of Serra.
"Thanks Van." Sera softly spoke.
"Any time." He replied.
Right after he did Serra's lightsabers started functioning again.
So the pair returned to the battle together.
Van never noticing the faint blush Serra got on her cheeks as he held her in his arm.
It was also something Serra herself didn't truly notice either.
But that is a story for the future.
Deflecting blaster bolts using his blue-bladed lightsaber Marcellus faced down a Yinchorri charging towards him. It's shield directly out in front of it to stop any incoming attacks.
Which would've worked, if it wasn't facing a Jedi that is.
Empowering his muscles with the Force Marcellus jumped into the air and twisted his body.
Landing right behind the Yinchorri that was charging at him.
Then before that Yinchorri could properly react Marcellus jabbed it in the middle of its back with his saber.
Showing the Yinchorri no mercy.
As his enemy fell dead Marcellus moved to support his fellow Jedi.
One by one the Yinchorri fell, until there were none left.
When this happened Sifo-Dyas spread out his senses through the Force to see if any Jedi in his group had died during the battle.
When he found that none had, he felt a wave of relief wash over him.
After Sifo-Dyas did he took out a com device and relayed his groups situation to master Yoda and his fellow high council members.
Who all eventually reported the same thing as Sifo-Dyas.
The Yinchorri they had faced had been defeated, and not a single Jedi had died in any of the battles.
Making this a complete and utter victory for the Jedi Order.

Standing atop a building over a kilometer away from the Jedi Temple Maul held a pair of Electrobinoculars up to his eyes and used them to observe events at the Jedi Temple.
While also using his senses in the Force.
Upon getting a full grasp of the situation Maul took the electrobinoculars away from his eyes and took a comm device out of his pocket.
Which he then used to contact his master, Sidious.
"Yes, apprentice." Sidious spoke.
"Master I regret to inform you that the Yinchorri's assault on the Jedi Temple was a complete and utter failure. All Jedi involved in the battle survived." Maul explained.
"It is of little consequence apprentice." Sidious spoke. "At least the Jedi have elimintated other potential threats to us for us. Now return at once."
"Yes, my master." Maul replied.
He then deactivated the comm device and started moving.
Sinking into the shadows of the night until he became one with them.
Disappearing without leaving any trace.

In their meeting room once again in as many hours the high council was discussing the aftermath of the Yinchorri assault on the Jedi Temple.
"To thin they would be so bold as to attack us here on Coruscant of all places." Master Koth said.
"If they have the capacity to do this to us, then no one on the planet is currently safe from the Yinchorri." Master Tiin spoke.
"Mhm. Yes, it would seem. But sense others inolved in this matter I do." Yoda spoke.
"Master Yoda and I managed to interrogate and Yinchorri we captured alive, and it said it had no idea why it was attacking the temple. Only that it was order to do so." Master Rancisis explained.
"More we talked with the Yinchorri prisoner, more I sensed its species was being mislead." Yoda explained.
"Even if what you say is the truth master Yoda it does not excuse the Yinchorri's actions towards us our the Republic." Master Windu said.
"Understand this I do. Continue with our oriignal plan we will. Seek aid from the Republic Judicial Forces the Jedi Order will, in order to stop the Yinchorri." Yoda spoke.
The high council then discussed several more things before concluding their meeting.
While this was going on Van and many of the other Jedi focused on the after-battle cleanup.
Which while not fun was necessary.
Plus with so many Jedi working together the cleanup didn't take long at all.
By morning the Jedi Temple was good as news.
Despite this it didn't stop news of the Yinchorri's assault on it from spreading all over Coruscant.
A fear settled over the capital planet of the Republic.
Fear that motivated the Senate to take action.
Thus the Jedi Order, and Van specifically, got what they wanted.
Support from the Judicial Forces for an assault on the Yinchorri system to finally put an end to the conflict with the species.
