55 Chapter 52: The Yinchorri Uprising Episode IV

(3rd Person: POV)

Sitting in their chambers, the Jedi High Council was in session.

An emergency meeting having been called the moment those apart of the taskforce, sent to investigate the Yinchorri system, had return.

The subject of discussion.

That very mssion, along with what the order next moves should be in regard to the Yinchorri situation as a whole.

"It seems the Yinchorri are a lot more heavily armed than we first suspected." Plo Koon spoke. "The taskforce three cruisers barely managed to evade their starfighter's attacks long enough to jump back into hyperspace and leave the system."

"Hmm. Troubling news this is. More militant and agressive than we first suspected the Yinchorri are." Yoda spoke.

"Yes. It would seem we all underestimated them." Master Koth spoke. "Except for knight Sunrider it would seem."

"Oh, knight Sunrider you say. What did that young man do the time?" Master Poof asked.

"He suggested before we left on the mission that we should have asked for an armed escort from the Republic, or sought aid from the Judicial Forces to help investigate the Yinchorri system." Master Gallia explained. "It looks like his instincts were right."

"Even if they were that doesn't excuse his actions after we entered the system." Master Tiin spoke. "He had no authority to order a retreat like he did."

"Yet his actions saved our lives, including yours master Tiin." Master Giiett spoke.

"Be that as it may, knight Sunrider still could've achieved his goals using a different method." Master Tiin said.

"Given the situation I will have to disagree with you on that master Tiin." Plo Koon said.

Then before master Tiin could say anything else, Windu spoke up.

"Enough." He said. "What's happened has happened. But this council meeting is not to discuss the actions of one young knight, but rather our next move in dealing with the Yinchorri."

"Right master Windu is. Decide our next move against the Yinchorri we must. Before more damage they cause to both the Jedi and the Republic." Yoda said.

"Based on what we saw in the Yinchorri system I suggest we go with the idea knight Sunrider suggested before the taskforce initially left for the mission and request aid from the Republic Judicial Forces." Master Koth suggested.

"I concur." Plo Koon spoke. "Given the heavy resistance we encountered simply entering the Yinchorri system, there is no telling how much more there could be the deeper we traverse into it to search for their fabled command center." He explained.

"I also agree in asking for assistance from the Judicial Forces. And the faster the better." Sifo-Dyas spoke up. His first time in doing so in the high council began.

For as his fellow council members discussed the situation Sifo-Dyas had been trying to fight off the fear growing deep inside of him.

Since the Jedi master began thinking the Yinchorri might be the threat, that would plunge the galaxy into darkness, thar his visions had continued to warn him about over the years.

'I hope I am wrong.' Sifo-Dyas thought.

As he did the other high council members agreed with his words.

To combat the growing Yinchorri threat the Jedi would request the assistance of the Republic Judicial Forces.

"In agreement we all are. Begin the process quickly we must. For great danger I feel if we let the Yinchorri go unchecked for much longer." Yoda said.

Then a second after he did so the tiny Grand Master felt a massive sense of danger through the Force.

"Great danger I sense." Yoda spoke. "Put the temple on high alert we must." He spoke.

The second after Yoda did so the high council ended their meeting and began following his instructions.

For when Yoda says something like that the other masters know the situation is incredibly serious.

Thus they went to work, preparing for the danger Yoda sensed.

-----------------------------------

As the Jedi began moving, other forces were doing so as well.

Inside a secret chamber built within his personal apartment on Coruscant Sidious sat in a chair.

His apprentice, Darth Maul kneeling before him.

[Insert Image of Darth Maul Here]

"Is everything prepared?" Sidious asked Maul.

When he did so the Zabrak male raised his head and looked his master directly in his eyes.

"Yes, master. Just as you have instructed. The Yinchorri forces are preparing to launch their strike against the Jedi Temple as we speak." Maul explained.

For Sidious had had his apprentice help smuggle in Yinchorri commando's to attack the Jedi directly.

All apart of the Sith Lord's plans.

He and his allies being the ones behind the Yinchorri's violent actions in the first place.

Speaking of which Sidious found it irritable when he heard no Jedi apart of the taskforce sent to the Yinchorri system had died, but he quickly got over it.

For even if those Jedi survived death on this occasion in Sidious' mind they were already dead.

Since he thought that with the Sith Grand Plan in place their demise was inevitable.

At Maul's words Sidious smiled. "Good. Excellent work, my apprentice." He told Maul.

"Thank you, my master." Maul replied.

Putting a smile on his own face.

The two Sith then began reveling about their actions.

Then after they finally stopped Maul left to oversee the Yinchorri operation upon Sidious' command.

Sidious himself hoping at least this time a few Jedi would perish.

But he would soon be dissapointed once more.

Standing in the chamber that led to the northern entrance of the Jedi Temple Van paced back and forth.

His lightsaber at the ready in his left hand.

While he did so the other Jedi with him, which included his childhood friends, we're spread out around the chamber and on high altert.

For there group was standing guard at the northern entrance to the Jedi Temple.

After master Yoda and the high council had put the temple in high alert they first evacuated all the younglings to a safe place.

Once this was complete they split up their forces into groups, assigning each one to watch one of the entrances to the temple. A high council member in cjsrge of each group.

For Van's group, the one in charge was Sifo-Dyas.

Who right now was a bit distracted.

Noting this Marcellus walked over to his master. "Master, what's the matter? I can sense your discomfort and unease." He spoke.

"Oh, it's nothing much my apprentice." Sifo-Dyas said.

Lying through his teeth.

Partly because he did not want to worry Marcellus, and partly because speaking about his visions in public was not something he enjoyed doing.

So for now he would keep his troubles to himself.

At least until the matter involving the Yinchorri comes to an end.

"Okay. Whatever you say, master." Marcellus spoke.

Knowing his master was keeping something from him. But given their current situation he decided not to push it.

He'll just do that after.

Continuing his pacing Van suddenly stopped when Serra called out to him.

"Enough Van. Just looking at you is making me anxious." She spoke.

"Oh, sorry." He replied. "I didn't even notice."

Which is the truth.

"It's fine, but seriously you need to calm down." Kento said. "I mean after all we've been guarding the northern entrance for over four hours now and nothing has happened. Maybe master Yoda got it wrong this time. There is likely no threat." He said.

'Kento. Why did you raise that flag?' Van mentally groaned.

Then just after he did so he heard footsteps and wing beats coming from the hallway of the temple entrance.

Activating his lightsaber Van turned in the direction of the hallway.

As did all of his comrades.

Then a few seconds after they did so several figures emerged from the tunnel.

Some carrying blasters, while some carried swords. Most of them carried shields. While some even flew through the air using flight backs shaped like insect wings.

All the figures also looked like humanoid turtles.

Telling anyone who looked at them they were Yinchorri.

It looks like master Yoda sense of danger was correct.
