47 Chapter 45: The Corellian Conference Episode III

A/N: Okay so quick note. There is going to be a harem in this story for those who have been unsure.

Right now I have three girls in the MC's harem, but I'm not sure of anymore.

But once again, this is a harem fic. But not a catch-all pokemon harem fic.

So let's get onto the chapter.

----------------------------------------

[CEC Island, Coronet City]

Walking through the halls of the headquarters of the Corellian Engineering Corporation, also known as CEC, for short I kept my senses sharp.

Both in the physical word and in the Force as I patrolled the building.

Doing my job as security.

Five days have passed since my group arrived on Corellia, and three since the two week long conference began.

During the days before the conference officially began Sifo-Dyas, Marcellus, and I coordinated security for this event with the Corellian Security Force, known as CorSec for short, and our Green Jedi counterparts who were assigned to work with us on this mission.

Which was not easy let me tell you.

Especially when we had to factor in the private and personal security details some of the delegates and representatives decided to bring to this conference.

Despite those difficulties we managed to work things out.

Ignoring any looks I got I continued my patrol.

Noting that besides representatives and delegates from the different affiliates companies that make up the Techno Union I also see numerous government officials and wealthy private citizens.

But I guess that's what happens when a megacorporation is given an actual seat at the table when dealing with government affairs.

The fact that organizations like the Trade Federation, Techno Union, and other such similar groups have amassed so much power they actually have representative seats in the Galactic Senate is a travesty to me.

Even back in my old world that did not happen.

Sure the megacorporations supported a governmental candidate, but they never got a senatorial seat all their own.

It once again reiterates the fact just how far the Republic has fallen.

For in the days of the Old Republic groups like the Trade Federation would've not been able to amass such power.

What makes it even worse is that during the 'Clone Wars' those corporate groups were able to keep their seats in the Galactic Senate while their members openly supported the C.I.S.

Yeah, I am not allowing shit like that in my new galactic governmental body.

A few more hours passed and my patrol came to an end.

Once it did I went to go meet up with Marcellus and the others.

Though as I was making my way to meet them something collided with my legs.

"Ow!"

Something that was alive.

Looking down I saw a young girl several years younger than me. Sporting bright blue eyes and dark-brown hair styled in two pigtails, which are resting on her shoulders.

Bending down I offered her my left hand. "You should be more careful." I told her.

Taking my hand she simply gave me a curt nod in response.

Then after I helped the young girl to her feet I saw a gleam in her eyes. I then noticed her gaze was directed towards my lightsaber.

"Woah, an actual lightsaber." The young girl said.

She then tried to reach out and grab it. But I didn't allow that.

Grabbing the top of her head I held her in place and stopped her from getting my lightsaber.

Once again ignoring any looks people were giving me.

"Let me go, I just want to see your lightsaber." The girl spoke.

"No way." I immediately replied. "A lightsaber is not a toy. Mess around with it and you can hurt yourself or other people."

"I know that. I just want to see it and examine how it channels all the energy used to produce its blade without overheating." The girl explained to me.

"While you have an admirable goal the answer is still no." I told the girl.

"Come on. It will only be for a few moments." She said.

Still trying to get a hold of my lightsaber.

I admire her tenacity, but there is no way she's getting it.

Getting ready to the girl 'no' once more I stopped when another voice spoke up.

"Arisha, stop bothering that young man." A female voice said.

"Tch!" Arisha clicked her tongue upon hearing it.

Looking in the direction the voice came from I saw a woman in her 30's with shoulder-length dark hair and green eyes, dressed in a sort of pant suit approaching me, and the girl now named Arisha.

Reaching us she grabbed Arisha by her left ear and pulled.

"Ow!" Arisha yelped. "No, stop. Let go." She said.

Yet the woman ignored her entirely. Her gaze focused entirely on me. Which was analyzing me from what I could tell. Giving me the sense she had some sort of military or combat training. Being around HK-47, and given some of the my missions for the Jedi Order, I've developed a sense for these things.

"Hello there master Jedi. I hope this little one wasn't bothering you too much." The woman soon spoke.

"No, not at all." I replied.

"That's good." The woman said. She then focused her attention on Arisha. "Now, do you have something you want to say to me?"

Arisha grumbled.

Which only made the woman pull on her ear harder. "Sorry, I didn't quite catch that. Can you please repeat what you just said?"

"I said I'm sorry. I'm sorry okay." Arisha quickly spoke.

"That's what I thought." The woman said.

She then stopped pulling Arisha's ear, and instead moved her grasp to her left arm. After she did so the woman looked at me. "Once again, sorry for any inconvenience she caused you master Jedi. Now please excuse us." The woman spoke. She then started walking away.

Dragging Arisha with her.

The latter protesting as the woman did so.

But I didn't intervene because I could sense they knew each other, and what was happening was a regular thing between them. Arisha was not afraid nor in danger. She was just annoyed.

Putting a soft smile on my face at the pairs antics I resumed my original goal of going to meet up with Marcellus and the others.

Hoping I might see that pair again before the conference ended.

For I got a small feeling through the Force Arisha and mine's future were somehow destined to connect.
