127 Chapter 124: Halthor Sector Campaign Episode II

Entering the conference room where the briefing was going to take place I saw several officers having already arrived and taken seats within the room.

While standing at the front of the room is one the leaders who will be in charge during this military campaign.

Rear-admiral Dalinat Killest.

Which doesn't surprise me in the slightest, given all she contributed in planning this campaign into the Halthor Sector. As well as making sure it was going to be executed.

She's definitely earned the position she has.

As well as the Infinity as her flagship for the duration of this campaign.

I know she will command the ship well.

Her eyes scanning over the room Dalinat's gaze landed on me, and when it did she lightly waved in my direction.

So I smiled and waved back.

For during the past couple of years she and I have become friends.

The two of us doing so while planning the Halthor sector campaign.

The wave between Dalinat and I only lasted for a few seconds before we both stopped. When we did so I noticed Dalinat's second-in-command looking at her like she had just grown a second head for a moment.

Dalinat's second-in-command being Gilad Pellaeon.

Who is currently a commander within the Galactic Systems Alliance navy.

Noticing Pellaeons' gaze Dalinat turned to face him and meet his look with one of her own.

Which caused Pellaeon to immediately break eye contact and face forward.

His stance ram-rod straight.

Seeing this I lightly chuckled.

I also felt happy, for it seems my plan is working.

For you see it was me who had Pellaeon put under the direct command of Dalinat.

Why you ask?

Because I felt that she could help him grow into the officer and leader he became in the EU/Legends original timeline.

I also put them together so that Dalinat would help curb Pellaeons' urges of usually thinking with his dick.

Don't me wrong, I have no problem with Pellaeon enjoying women. I'm not a hater.

I just want him to learn a little bit more restraint in that regard, so that his military career doesn't become stalled.

But if I simply tell him that I'm certain he wouldn't truly listen to my words.

Thus I am using this method instead.

For everyone already knows why Dalinat's career stalled in the Republic Judicial Forces.

Which is why she has the acquired the nickname 'Ball Killer'.

So Pellaeon already knows if he makes a move on the young admiral she'll use her foot missile to destroy the twin ships hanging between his legs.

Moving on.

Taking a seat myself I leaned back in my chair as more and more officers arrived in the room.

Until finally, it was full.

Once it was Dalinat raised her right hand, and the few whispers and murmurs in the room stopped almost instantly.

"Thank you." Dalinat spoke. "Now, for those of you who do not know me I am rear-admiral Dalinat Killest. Your commander during this operation. If anyone has any problems come to me immediately. And if I find out any of you officers are causing trouble then I will find you. Is that understood?"

"Yes mam." Several officers in the room spoke in unison.

While some just nodded their heads in agreement.

"Good." Dalinat spoke a few seconds after seeing the response to her opening words. "With that out of the way let's move on to why all of us are here. Commander Pellaeon." Dalinat spoke.

The second after she did Pellaeon moved to the holotank situated in the middle of the room and activated it.

A second after he did so a map of the galaxy projected itself in the air.

Then not a moment after it did the holographic projection over the holotank grew smaller and smaller until me and everyone else in the room found ourselves looking at a single system.

One of the planets in the system lit up bright red.

"That is our target right there people." Dalinat spoke. Using a finger on her right hand to point to the highlighted planet above the holotank.

"We are heading to the namesake of this sector of space, the halthor system, to secure the planet Halthor. Which is currently being ruled over by this man."

The second after Dalinat finished a new holographic image appeared in the air alongside the image of the Halthor system.

Which is of a male Rodian dressed in extravagant robes with an arrogant look on his face. "His name is Blolkic Jcebi. From what the intelligence reports tell us he was one of the longest-serving lieutenant's under the former ruler of the Otetthan Empire Leoste Truyork. And ever since Truyork's death almost two years ago he has been working to take over his formers bosses position within the Halthor sector. Currently he is one of the strongest warlords in the sector. The reports we have received says he rules Halthor with an iron fist. Forced labor of its people, execution of anyone who speaks out against him, not to mention we've heard he sells the planets inhabitants into slavery." She spoke.

Which caused frowns and disgusted looks to appear on the faces of the officers in the room. I can also sense their emotions match their facial expressions right now.

Not surprising me in the slightest.

"Our job, no our mission is as follows. We are to head for the planet Halthor with our members of the fleet and free the planet from under the control of Jcebi and his forces. Any questions?"

No one spoke.

"Okay." Dalinat said. "Then this meeting is adjourned. More details concerning this operation will be discussed as we get closer to our operation area. For now let us prepare to move out. And remember people, this is the first ever large-scale military operation the GSADF has ever performed. The entire galaxy is watching. So let's make sure we show them our very best. Dismissed." She said.

Once Dalinat did me and the other officers in the room left it to begin making final preparations before we got underway and truly began the Halthor Sector campaign.

I suffered a bit of burnout and so I took a little break.

Then when I was ready to right again I came down with a small cold which didn't let me write.

Though I am here and you can be sure this story will continue to the very end.

On another note I will soon start a paetron account, where you will be able to read some of the new stories I wish to post before doing so on webnovel.
