124 Chapter 121: Daily Life Of An Intelligence Agent
[Galactic Systems Alliance Military Intelligence Headquarters, Raxus Secundus]

Leaning back in her chair, in her personal office, Hallena Devis resisted the urge to sigh and groan.
Closing her eyes she began inhaling and exhaling through her nose, doing her best to take a few minutes for herself before she got back to attending to the work on her terminal and the numerous datapad's littering her desk.
Such is the life of the director of GSA military intelligence after all.
A position Hallena never expected to acquire.
But after signing up with Dominicus two years ago, finding out shortly thereafter about their involvement with the Galactic Systems Alliance, agreeing to work for the alliance for she believed in their goals and ideas, and then being assigned to their burgeoning military intelligence, here she is.
A colonel in the GSA military, and running one of its important departments.
At only 25 years old.
(A/N: Since Hallena's age was ever specified I gave her one)
A position numerous working under Hallena are definitely more qualified to possess than her. A job she definitely could've turned down, since she was given the option.
Yet when offered the position Hallena took it.
Because for all the stress it brought her, she loved it.
After a few moments to herself Hallena sat back up in her chair and resumed her work.
Then an hour later she stopped once more.
But not because she was finished, but instead because Hallena had a very important meeting to attend she could not dare miss.
Getting up from her chair she left her office.
Hallena then quickly made her way through the hallways of GSA military intelligence HQ.
One of the most secure buildings on Raxus.
Right up there with the systems alliance parliament building.
In no time at all Hallena arrived at her destination.
A door leading into a conference room.
Opening said door Hallena entered it.
She then took her seat at the round table in the middle of the conference, a holo-tank secured in the center of it, after she did.
Where three other individuals were already seated.
The first is an older man known as Berch Teller.
A captain in the navy of the Galactic Systems Alliance Defense Forces, and the head of the counter-intelligence division of GSA intelligence.
Which was a job Teller was perfectly suited for, considering he worked for Republic Intelligence for many years before leaving after he was given an ultimatum to either train the clones of the Republic army, or resign his commission.
Teller chose the latter.
After he did so one thing led to another and now here is.
The second individual is Jedaii master Tholme.
Who now holds the rank of major with the GSA army, and is the head of the special activities division of GSA intelligence.
A job that fit Tholme perfectly, and one he took to like a fish takes to water.
The third individual is a man around Hallena's age, give or take a year. He has neatly combed brown hair and ice-blue eyes. Without even trying the man is giving off an aristocratic and regal air.
His name is Treize Khushrenada.
A lieutenant colonel with the GSA army, as well as the deputy director of military intelligence.
Simply put, Trieze is Hallena's second in command.
"Good day to you Hallena." Trieze spoke.
"The same to you Trieze. As well as you master Tholme and captain Teller." Hallena spoke. All three men acknowledging her words. "Alright, now that pleasantries are out of the way let's begin the meeting." She spoke.
Since the reason such four important figures within military intelligence were gathered in one place, when they were usually split apart handling several different duties, is because Hallena had called this meeting between them.
To discuss a very pressing matter.
Activating the holo-tank situated in the middle of the table Hallena then touched a few more buttons on the terminal in front of her.
Completely securing the room she and the others were in.
From activating signal jammers, to turning on several sound disruptors.
Hallena locked down the conference room.
Because when working in intelligence being paranoid was normal, and not being so made you look crazy.
Once she was sure all the counter-surveillance measures had been initiated correctly Hallena turned her attention toward Trieze and the others. "Alright, we're secure. Now, the reason I called you all here today. I've received various reports that the republic is in the process of moving to gather intelligence about the Galactic Systems Alliance." She spoke.
"Well that's no surprise. We knew the Republic would make such a move the moment the alliance existence was revealed to the rest of the galaxy at large. Honestly it's a miracle we kept ourselves hidden from the Republic as long as we did." Captain Teller spoke.
"I agree with you a bit there captain, but we cannot change the past. Thus let us focus on the here and now." Tholme spoke.
"Well spoke master Tholme." Trieze said. "So Hallena, what are we looking at in terms of the Republic's efforts to gather intel on us?"
"Well in addition to the normal efforts that will be made by Republic Intelligence, I've heard whispers the director-general of the Senate Bureau of Intelligence Armand Isard is personally dispatching those under his command against us. Though I don't have a credible source than can confirm or deny this." Hallena explained.
"I suspect it is likely true." Trieze spoke.
"Oh, and what makes you think that Trieze?" Hallena asked.
"Back when I was a member of Republic Intelligence I was assigned to several joint operations with the SBI that were under the direct command of Armand Isard. I only met the man a handful of times, but those few times I did meet him I was impressed. Though he didn't speak much when director Isard did people listened to what he had to say, and there was never a wasted word when he did. Not to mention he ran those operations I worked on flawlessly." Trieze explained. "So I can say with a high certainty that his SBI agents will move against us and the GSA." He spoke.
"I see. Thank you for your input Trieze. As always it is appreciated." Hallena spoke.
The young GSA military intelligence director truly valuing Trieze's opinion.
Honestly although she had only worked with Trieze for a short time Hallena often thought their roles within military intelligence should be reversed.
With him as the director and her as the deputy director.
Even after Hallena learned that Trieze turned down the position of director after it was offered to him because he wanted to spend time taking care of his daughter.
Still Trieze had refused, and there was nothing to be done about that.
"It is no issue Hallena. That is one of the many reasons I am here after all. To assist you and my fellow colleagues in their work. So that we may keep the Galactic Systems Alliance and all those who call it home safe." Trieze spoke.
"Well said." Tholme spoke.
"Yes, well said deputy director." Captain Teller added.
Trieze humbly accepted their comments.
Then once he did Hallena and the three in the room began discussing strategies to counter the efforts of any Republic Intelligence agent, no matter from what organization, from successfully gathering critical intel on the Galactic Systems Alliance.
They also discussed strategies for countering planetary, system, and sector intelligence organizations as well.
Like the Bothan Spynet.
For those furry bastards were some of the most dangerous spies in the entire galaxy, and really embodied the phrase 'Knowledge is power.'.
In a few hours the meeting came to a close.
Then once it did all four attendants of it went their separate ways.
Hallena heading back to her office, to handle more work.
Which although made her sigh, also brought a small smile to her face.
For once again, she really loves her job.

Also yes, the Treize Khushrenada who appeared in this chapter is also the same Trieze from the Gundam universe
Though I imported him into the Star Wars universe for various reasons.
One of which I think is that many Gundam characters actually would fit pretty well the Star Wars universe.
Now before anyone asks, no this story is not turning into some crossover or multi-dimensional fic.
It will stay purely Star Wars.
Though I will important some characters from other series in this Star Wars fics to spice it up. Like I did with master chief and Trieze.
Both of whom whose backgrounds will be vastly different in this fic when compared to their original worlds. For instance, Treieze knows about and is actively taking care of his daughter. All of which will be explained in later chapters.
