Chapter 30

While Moka practically dragged the distracted Vera, Vera herself was going through a whole host of feelings she couldn't comprehend. That's to the chaos, and him being somewhat used to the force at this point, Moka overlooked something major. Unfortunately, Vera was not so lucky, as she completely felt the overwhelming feeling of not only her first time feeling the force, but a strong Force Bond being formed between Moka and her.

It felt overwhelming, like the weight of an ocean bearing down on her, but at the same time it felt so natural and right. As if this was the way things were always meant to be, as if a missing part of her she never knew about was finally found. Even with no true understanding of the force, Vera knew that something was telling her that Moka was immensely important to her.

But, not wanting to seem like a weak damsel in distress to her new fiance, Vera shook her head to get herself back into the game, and began running alongside Moka, no longer needing to be pulled.

Seeing Vera get herself together so quickly put a small smile on Moka's lips under his helmet, but once they made it outside the demolished tavern, that smile quickly disappeared. Multiple ships could be seen flying in orbit, either having dogfights with the defending Mandos, or doing staffing runs all over Keldabe, not a care for who their bombs destroyed.

The whole scene made Moka sick with rage, as this kind of all-out attack had no honor, as Moka looked around saw even children lying in pools of their own blood. But as he looked up and saw the symbol for the Hutt Cartel, it finally made sense to Moka.

Thanks to nearly mastering Perfect Force, he hasn't lost himself in his rage like he would've before, so with a rational mind, Moka knew that they needed to organize a defense as fast as possible, or will all of Mandalore will fall under Hutt rule. Turning to his new fiance, Moka felt apprehensive about putting her in danger, but needed all of the help he could get right now.

"Hey V, how are your shooting skills?" Moka asked in a hurry

"Probably better than yours." Vera quipped, ignoring the blush on her face over Moka already giving her a personal nickname.

Hearing her reply, Moka smiled once more. Even in all of this chaos, she was still able to joke around and keep a level head. "Then show me. We need to get to my ship and launch a counter attack!" Moka said as he rushed off towards the spaceport, Vera hot on his heels.

As they got to the space port, Moka saw some very familiar B1 droids launching an assault on the Spaceport, attempting to take it over. "Is the CIS involved as well? There's no way that they'd be working with the Hutts, right?" Moka asked aloud as him and Vera closed in on the flank of the B1 droids. Activating one blade of his axe with his blaster in his other hand, Moka quickly made two clones, of which he could now keep for nearly 4 hours, and began tearing through the droids.

Vera and every onlooking Mando was completely shocked by Moka's level of destruction, as he looked to be a natural disaster as he set upon the small droid army. Within a span of a few minutes, half of the droid army has been destroyed completely by Moka alone, but at this point, the other Mando's have regained their senses and assisted Moka in finishing off the rest of the droids. When the last droid fell, the Mandalorians wanted to take a breather, but then felt the ground began to rumble and turned to see Moka with his hands out around home.

Moka hadn't had a lot of time to fully explore all of the applications of Perfect Force yet, but from his guess, is that the possibilities are nearly endless. The first thing he confirmed a slightly showed off already, was the ability to have full control of the elements, but some are limited to one or two normally, while talented people like him have access to more. The only element Moka has found so far that he had trouble manipulating was water, but luckily that element he was best at was all around him.

Using all of his mastery of the force, Moka raised the ground and formed a simple, yet effective walled fort surrounding the spaceport, leaving only one opening. The wall was in the shape of a perfect circle, allowing the defending the full view they need. Also, once any enemy try to storm the opening, it'll be too late for them, as they'll find themselves shot at from every single angle with no where to run.

As they Mandos marveled at the makeshift fort, they were brought back to attention by Moka's voice. "Everyone listen! This will be our base for the moment. We need to launch a counter attack, now, so anyone with piloting skills, commender a ship and get into formation behind mine. As for the rest of you, I want you on these walls guiding all friendlies to safety and killing all enemies. We take no prisoners, do you hear me?!" Moka shouted, his deep voice spanning across the whole area.

Almost immediately all of the Mandos went rigid and gave a stiff salute, "Yes, Sir!" they all shouted back, as they either climbed the stairs to the fort, or funneled into the spaceport with Moka. Inside the spaceport were some more Mandos and a few families hiding out from danger, but when they saw Moka, hope re-entered their eyes. Word had already gotten around how Moka was almost single-handedly defeating the enemy, so for him to be there right now meant that he miraculously won the small battle.

After quickly organizing the inside of the Spaceport so that it could actually run as a base, the rest made their ways to the ships. Now aboard the Tempest, Moka has tried several times to contact Kahlua, Roz, or anyone, but it looked as though all communications were shut down and he wasn't as lucky as he was back on Naboo. Still, Moka made one last ditch effort and tried to use his Force Bonds to send an alert, or even fully communicate with either Emiry or Abbela.

For several moments, nothing happened and he felt slightly silly for trying, but right as he was about to give up, it worked!. "Mo, is that you? When did you-" Emiry said before she was interrupted by Abbela.

"Momo?! This is so cool! Hurry and come home! Our baby will be here soon!" Abbela said excitedly.

Hearing that he might miss the birth of his children, a slew of emotions went through Moka, but he soon collected himself. "Trust me, I want to, but Mandalore is under attack by multiple enemies and they have completely cut off communication on the whole planet. I need to two to mobilize all of the battle ready Templars, and allow them as many droids and ships they can command, as soon as possible. I've only confirmed the presence of the Hutt Cartel and the CIS so far, but I have a bad feeling this isn't over by a long shot." Moka said before he cut the connection, feeling drained.

Moka had been training in the force like crazy over the last few months, but telepathy required a mental strength that he just hasn't had the chance to train yet.

After taking a few quick seconds to catch his breath and making sure everyone is ready, Moka quickly lifted the Tempest into the air, follow by a host of other ships. As soon as they were airborne, they had to launch evasive maneuvers, dodging bots from both the CIS and the Hutts. Without wasting anymore time, Moka began his counter attack, quickly bringing down two ships.

Even before he was trained in the force, Moka was considered an ace pilot, surviving many dogfights on his adventures with Dragon Squad. Now that he has nearly mastered control over the force, his talent reached whole new heights. Flying high over Keldabe, Moka performed seemingly impossible maneuvers as he flipped and twirled through the air around a hail of bolts, only being hit by a few stray shots from the ground, but the Tempest was made with the best quality beskar, and a thick amount as well. So those random shots had the same effect of a child punching a mountain.

The happiest surprise for Moka was that his fiance seemed to have the skills to back up her words, because as he made all of these seemingly impossible maneuvers, she was able to keep up, almost constantly taking out ships along with him. 'Damn, it might be awaking some fucked up fetish right now, but damn does she look sexy blowing all of those ships up!' Moka thought to himself, unintentionally, his feelings getting conveyed to Vera, who now had a deep blush on her face.

"Can you get your mind out of the gutter and focus?!" Vera asked over the comms, only receiving a hearty laugh from Moka in response. He was definitely going to enjoy teasing her in the future.

After half as hour of constant battle, they sky finally started to clear up of enemies, and the battle wasn't as oppressive. Seeing this as a chance, Moka flipped a switch and began a loud broadcast to all of Keldabe from the Tempest.

"This is King Moka Kahl of Kahlua. We have finally secured a foothold against the enemies. If you are able, make your way to the Spaceport where we have built a temporary base. If you are not, stay out somewhere safe and we will rescue you after we win this war. We will win this war, for Mandalore!" Moka shouted over the comms, giving hope to all who heard him, namely Roz and everyone with her, as they all made their way to the Spaceport

Back on Kahlua,

Emiry and Abbela were now with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, watching all of the Templars and MD1 droids board their ships. Suddenly, they felt a presence enter the hangar, only to turn and see Markol walk in with a large group of dark robed Jedi behind him. When he was just a few meters away, he looked down at them as if they were lower than ants.

"What is the meaning of this? Who gave you permission to mobilize all of these troops in my palace?" Markol asked in a condescending tone, as he smoothed back his manicured hair.

When they heard this, they all wore dark expressions. The first to speak was Abbela. "Are you slow or something? Since when was this your palace? Plus, we were told to by the REAL ruler of this palace, Momo." said Abbela in a hostile tone. She usually wasn't hostile by nature, but something about Markol and the strange Jedi behind him rubbed her the wrong way. Slowly, she held her hand near her new saber.

"That is correct, but I don't think you care about that, do you? To walk in here so brazenly with Sith at your back, it seems my friend Moka was right to suspect you. Now tell me, are you the master or just a lowly apprentice? Asked Qui-Gon coyly as he held his saber in his hand. Ever since he has trained in Perfect Force and has been a Master of the Templar Order, his whole world view has changed, as he finally found his true path in life.

When Markol heard this, his holier than thou expression turned into a sneer, as he grabbed his saber and ignited a deep red blade. "I have never been just some lowly apprentice, you swine! I even managed to fool that idiot of a King you have to invite me into his very home, and now that him and that insufferable Roz are going to die on Mandalore once my master, Lord Thawn arrives, the whole kingdom of Kahlua will belong to me!"

At this time, many Templar have already come to assist, and Emiry grimaced, as she could tell this was all part of Markol's plan. The longer he stalls and the less Templars there are to assist Moka, the more danger he was in. Suddenly, Emiry had a really bad feeling as despite all of their planning, they seemed to be at a distance at every turn. "This isn't going to end well." Emiry stated as she saw more Sith funnel into the Hangar suddenly remembering a horrible fact. There was currently no one to watch over Shmi!

Markol is a Sith?! Who do you think Markol's master is? I bet you can't guess

Also, this is looking to be a pretty big war, but what do you think of Moka and Vera's teamwork so far?
