16 Chapter 16

(Bonus Chapter!!! Since the last chapter did so well, enjoy this extra chapter!)

As the last droid in the hangar fell, Padmé quickly rose, taking charge of the situation. "Quickly, to the throne room!" Padmé commanded as she and the rest of the group marched to the giant metal doors leading to the palace, only to stop in their tracks, shocked at what was on the other side of the doors. Darth Maul stood there menacingly, causing many of the Security Force in their tracks, taking a few steps back in fear.

"You go ahead. We'll take care of this." Qui-Gon said, which prompted Padmé and rest to leave the two Jedi's and the two Mandalorians to defeat the Sith. Maul looked at the group before him, grimacing at the sight. He was expecting just two Jedi, but now there was an additional two Mandalorians, one of which he fought before and proved to be quite annoying.

Wanting to get this fight done with, Moka had already put away his rifle, and had taken out his sword and pistol, a form of combat that made him feel like a swashbuckling pirate. Seeing a chance, Moka fired a quick shot, using the force to change it's trajectory. Maul thought the shot was aimed at his face and blocked it with his dual saber, only to be surprised when the shot sharply veered down and hit the hilt of his saber, breaking it in half as the useless end fell to the ground.

Rage filled the space around Maul as he moved to lunge at Moka, only to be intercepted by the two Jedi slashing at him. Moka analyzed their movements carefully with his cybernetics, learning the lightsaber forms as they fought. Sure, Rust taught him sword fighting skills among other thing, but the Jedi fighting firms were legendary for a reason. With the two Jedi crossing blades with Maul, and two Mandalorians taking shots at him, the fight was almost completely one sided and was coming to an end much faster than in canon. Seeing the exhaustion on Maul's face, Moka stepped back and used a new technique he just learned to use when he was hunting in the forests on Kahlua, right before he left to travel with his crew.

Slowly but surely, Moka began using the force to mask his presence, both physically and within the force. By the time he was done, everyone except Rust was surprised to find Moka had vanished from all of their senses. A fact that put Maul on even more of a high alert, further distracting him from an already difficult fight. Pressing on this advantage, Rust and the Jedi's continued their attack, until Maul let out a pain filled scream and they saw a deadly looking sword sticking out from his chest.

Maul tried to move to plunge his saber into himself, killing both him and Moka, until he felt the blade inside of him twist, forcing him to drop his saber as he fell to his knees. Maul couldn't believe it, killed from the very Mandalorians he planned to conquer. As the sword violently ripped itself from his body, Maul felt his life leaving with it, as he fell to the ground in a pool of his own blood.

Qui-Gon had a stoic expression, but Obi-Wan looked slightly sickened by the bloody display. This only cemented to Obi-Wan that he may be slightly sheltered from death with lightsabers and plasma blasters, as they both cauterize the wounds they inflicted, unlike a sword would.

After holstering Darth Maul's lightsaber to his belt, Moka lead the rest of the strike team to the throne room where they found all of the Trade Federation officials dead, and the hostages freed but frightened from what they had to endure and the slaughter they just witnessed. With the Viceroy dead, Moka moved to call his aunt and tell her she wasn't needed, but the sight he saw outside of the throne room windows told him he was too late. At nearly the same time, two different massive fleets dropped out of hyperspace, one sporting the Trade Federation colors, and the other sporting the sigel to House Kahl.

Without any premble, The Kahl ships began firing upon the Federation ships, destroying a few with their initial attack. After that, the war in space began in earnest, and the sky above Naboo became host to the deadly fireworks display. "We took down Nute Gunray, why are they still fighting?!" Padmé said, as she ran over to Moka. Thinking for a bit, Moka finally realized why.

"It's because they don't know that he's dead. Now Padmé, a pacifist like you won't like what I'm about to do, but if you want this war to end, don't stop me." Moka said as he ran over to Nute Gunray's corpse, holding him by the neck as he motioned for SK-8 to set up a broadcast for him. Little did everyone else know, was this broadcast was being displayed to not just those above Naboo, but to the entire known galaxy. Moka was about to make his second debut to the world.

As soon as the broadcast was set up, Moka began. "To all of those who are watching, hear me when I say this, House Kahl with some help from the Jedi Order has done what the Republic Senate refused to do thanks to their corruption and inaction. We have freed Naboo and ended the war!" Moka shouted as he raised one fist in the air and presented a dead Nute Gunray with his other.

"From this moment on, the war of Naboo has ended. All who surrender will be treated with honor and respect, which is the true mandalorian way, but to those who still wish to fight, they will be met with the complete and unrelenting wrath that House Kahl gives to all who stand against us. Long live Naboo! Long live House Kahl!" Moka shouted again as he ended the transmission. The entire throne room was silent in shock, until one of Padmé's handmaidens spoke up.

"It worked! The Federation ships are powering down or running away! Naboo is free!" Said Rabé as she pointed excitedly outside of the window. Soon enough, everyone overlooked Moka's ominous declaration and began cheering, crying tears of joy from surviving the whole ordeal. It took nearly a day to clean up the last of the droids, but when they were done, all of Naboo was joyous, leaving Moka's fort and finally returning to their homes.

Unfortunately, as they were cleaning the Hangar, they found Darth Maul's corpse to no longer be laying there, 'That resilient red bastard! Who the fuck walks away from shit like that?!' Moka asked himself, but then he vaguely remember Maul surviving in the movie after being literally cut in half by Obi-Wan. After making a mental note to hunt Darth Maul down later, Moka made sure to increase security and continue delegating the clean up.

An hour after the clean up was done, Roz's flagship landed in Moka's fort, as Moka, Padmé, and the rest of Dragon Squad stood waiting for her. When Roz and Moka finally met, they were both out of their armor, Moka in his military-like kimono, and Roz in a stunning yellow dress that went well against her brown complexion. Pulling each other into a mighty embrace, Moka was happy to see his only living family member alive and safe, under she started squeezing him in a bear hug!

"Dear nephew, there you go deciding things on your own again! Who said you can make a public broadcast denouncing the damn Republic and tying the Jedi Order to our name? Huh?? Do you realize the ramifications of what you've done?! The Republic is calling for us to stand down and join the Republic publicly. They even tried to send that little welp, Duchess Satine after me, to get me to fall in line! Who do those old sweaty bastards think they are?!" Roz asked, as she crushed Moka even harder in her rage.

Moka was at a loss, as he didn't expect this to happen. People have shit talked the Republic for centuries, but the Senate has never responded to them like they're currently doing with House Kahl. Moka suspects the new Chancellor, Palpatine, might have something to do with this, as he must be pissed at Moka ruining his plans so publicly and almost killing his apprentice. 'That old nut sack might actually be after me now. I need to think of a new plan as House Kahl doesn't currently have the strength to protect ourselves on a galactic level.' Moka thought to himself. But first, he had to defuse this current situation.

"It's okay Auntie, I'll try contacting the Senate later and work things out for us!" Moka stated, only to be dropped from his aunt's hold a second later.

"It's too late, I only told them to go fuck themselves and that House Kahl answers to no one! And I told that bitch Satine if she tries to threaten me again, I'll finish her and Clan Kryze off for good!" Roz declared loudly.

Obi-Wan felt his mouth twitch at the mention of his old love being killed over a small disagreement, but when he was about to speak up, he was stopped by Qui-Gon putting a hand on his shoulder and slowly shaking his head.

"Geez, I definitely see where Moka gets his brashness from. But it should be fine, the Republic won't make a move against House Kahl openly unless they want the whole galaxy to condemn them, as House Kahl has actually done nothing wrong. Oh, Hello Queen Rozalene, I am Queen Padmé Amidala, it's a pleasure to finally meet you!" Padmé said as she gave a bow to Roz, who returned it with one of her own.

After the introductions, everyone trailing inside of the fort to discuss the concessions for House Kahl, as well as iron out the details of their new alliance. The was the first time Moka actually watched his aunt in a business setting, and was genuinely surprised by how courteous and professional she was, and wondered if he'd be able to emulate that one day. After the alliance talks were done, Padmé quickly got to work on a full celebration, shocking Moka on the scale that she was planning for it.

And just like the movie, Naboo celebrated and threw a festival the next day, except this time, most of the honor went to Moka and House Kahl, as Padmé and Roz signed the official alliance papers in front of everyone there and watching the galactic broadcast, officially bringing Naboo under the protection of House Kahl. Even the Jedi Council showed up, showing their support publicly for Naboo, which apparently upset the Republic Senate.

When Moka saw the Jedi Council, namely Yoda, he made his way over to greet him, only to be stopped by Mace Windu, who held his hand on the hilt of his lightsaber. Luckily the celebrations were already in full swing at this point and the group were somewhat hidden inside of the palace, so it didn't cause a huge scene, but it was definitely noticed by those nearby.

"Stand away from Grandmaster Yoda! I can practically see the dark side radiating off of you. I knew I should've dealt with you when you were a child, and now look what you've done! You've driven a wedge between the Republic and our Order at a time when we should be united!" Mace spat out as he took on a more aggressive stance.

"What is the meaning of this? Prince Moka has done no wrong?" yelled Qui-Gon Jinn, standing in front of Moka, protecting him. When Moka saw this, he just felt reaffirmed that Qui-Gon is definitely one of the best Jedi, and he was glad he saved him from his fate of dying.

"What the hell does your bald ass think you're doing to my kin?!" Roz yelled, activating her battle armor and holding her beskar blade in the shape of a great sword. Seeing this, every Mandalorion around readied their weapons, and as a response, the Jedi there ignited their own lightsabers, Mace Windu included. It was a tense situation that could split the galaxy in half the second either side attacked.

Seeing Mace Windu now aiming his lightsaber at his Aunt Roz, the dark side inside of him grew to the point of spilling over as he grabbed Darth Maul's broken saber and ignited it, while his pistol was already in his other hand. "Listen here Chrome Dome, I was willing to be the bigger man and ignore your past transgressions, but for aiming your weapon at my aunt, Queen of Kahlua, you're practically begging me to gut you here and now, and then use your skull as my own shit container afterwards!" Moka spat out venomously.

Mace Windu was nearly in blind fury at this point and was about to attack until he heard a loud tapping of a cane, that gathered everyone's attention. Yoda, who stood their as the only person present besides Padmé who was freaking out in the back, started walking forward until he stood between both groups.

"Stop this fighting, you will! Done nothing wrong, Young Moka has not!" Yoda said, his voice having a hard edge to it as he looked pointedly at Mace. "Stand down, you will, Master Mace. Cause an intergalactic war, the Order does not need." Yoda commanded.

Mace looked down at Yoda and a scowl formed on his face. The two have been bickering for a while as they now shared a position that traditional belongs to only one, and now he saw why. "Master Yoda, you may be the Grandmaster , but I am the Master of the Jedi Order! I listened to you before out of respect of you being my Master, but on this I can no longer bend. This boy has been causing all sorts of disturbances and dragging our name through the mud ever since he was exiled from the Order! You said that one day the we may need him, but look at him! He's practically dripping in darkside corruption and is even bringing others down with him. He has amassed too much wealth, power, and popularity and has become a threat we can no longer ignore!" Mace Windu seethed.

Everyone was shocked to see him stand against Master Yoda and the Jedi there began feeling conflicted. If it came down to it, would they support Master Windu or Master Yoda? Some there already knew where their allegiances laid, as some stayed by Mace's side, and others moved to show their support for Yoda.

At this point, the situation was almost completely out of control, and Moka had no idea what to do. If he fought and killed Mace like he wanted, he could get Yoda and a good number of Master Jedi on his side, but the Jedi Order could split that very day and very well cause a Jedi Civil War. But if he tries to defuse the situation, the Order can remain intact and they can keep the Sith busy while he builds his forces, but he'll very likely be a huge target for Mace Windu and have to live with a hurt pride of not killing the man who threatened his family.

The situation was growing ugly until the most unlikely person to speak up,ade themselves known. "Everyone, please calm down. This is meant to be a celebration as well as thanks to both House Kahl and the Jedi Order for helping to free my people. Can we not put our differences aside and let peace win this day?" Asked Padmé, as she stood in the middle with Master Yoda.

Moka couldn't stand Padmé's stubborn hippie attitude, as even in the alliance talks, she refused to form a military for her people, even after all the bullshit not having a military put her people through, but at this time, Moka couldn't be more thankful for it. Seeing this as an opportunity, Moka calmed himself and lowered his weapons. "Queen Padmé is right, let's not waste all of our hard work fighting for peace, only to cause more conflict. Aunt Roz and House Kahl, I, Prince Moka Kahl, am asking you to stand down. Nobody was hurt, so we can let it end here." Moka said with a determined voice. At the end of the day, as much as he wanted to kill Mace, he needed the Jedi Order to keep running for now.

Hearing this, Roz let out a heavy sigh. She knew Moka was right, but she just couldn't stand the thought of someone trying to hurt the last of her blood in front of her. "Listen to your Prince and stand down. The transgressor will get to live, for now at least." Roz said as she looked pointedly at Mace, deactivating her own armor and weapons. Seeing this, both sides soon put away their weapons and the crisis was averted, for now at least. Moka let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding, but the looked down to see Yoda staring at him.

"It's an honor to finally meet you in person, Master Yoda." Moka said as he gave a deep bow to show his respect. Moka was very grateful to Yoda for supporting him in this crisis and for before when he was younger.

"Hrmm, sorry for the trouble we caused you, I am. Speak with you privately in the future, I would like." Yoda said, shuffling to face Moka. When Mace heard Yoda apologizing to Moka on their behalf, he felt aggrieved that the Order had to take fault I the situation, but decided now wasn't the time, as he turned and stormed off, his new faction following after him.

Ignoring the pissed off Mace, Moka refocused on Yoda, curious as to what the Grandmaster wished to speak with him about. "Of course, Master Yoda, I'd be delighted. If you have the time one day, I invite you to Kahlua to be our Honored Guest." Moka said, turning on his diplomat mode. After a short discussion, Yoda turned to leave, only to be stopped by Qui-Gon.

"Master Yoda, this whole experience has been quite the eye opener for me, and I have made a decision. I wish to put Obi-Wan up to take the Trials, as I have nothing left to teach him and he is a far better Jedi than I," Qui-Gon said, stunning Obi-Wan until he continued speaking. "Also, I plan to leave the Order and train Young Ani here, on Kahlua with the other Mandalorion young. I have thought long and hard over this, but Master Mace has now made my decision far easier." Qui-Gon said resolutely.

Obi-Wan and the other Jedi Masters looked shocked, while Yoda just looked pained as he slowly shook his head, cursing Mace's brashness for driving a wedge between the Order and House Kahl, as well as pushing away a great Jedi Master to Moka who had enough wealth to fund his own Order. Seeing nothing else he can do, Yoda did his best to stall. "Saddens me so, to see you leaving the Order. To discuss things further, please travel with us back to the Citadel." Yoda asked, and Qui-Gon agreed, knowing his mind was already made up.

Little did everyone know, this singular event will escalate to forever change the universe as they know it.
