Tomb of Freedon Nadd

Khan continued forward and kept an eye out for beasts, no longer underestimating the creatures of this moon. He could feel that he was getting close. in the distance, he could see a series of towering rock formations between the trees.

Flying closer, he saw a towering black spire with a reflective surface situated between three rock formations. A large gully surrounded the entire structure with jagged iron spikes protruding from the ground like some sort of defense formation.

The most interesting thing wasn't the tomb itself, but a ship parked on the only pathway leading to the tomb. It was mostly circular in design with prongs on each side of the cockpit in the middle.

With a quick glance, he can see the ship was around thirty-five meters in diameter. Big enough to carry a small number of people comfortably.

Outside the ship were three women in a tough spot; They were fighting off a swarm of beasts. Large green creatures that looked like a mix between dogs and lizards. Their faces were slightly round with small tusk, horns, and sharp teeth without lips to hide them.

Their skin looked quite thick as their blasters couldn't kill them in one shot. The three women saw him approaching but could only spare a glance at the risk of being overrun.

"Their ship has no weapons."He decided to help them out, knowing he would need them later.

Khan circled around and opened fire on the beast he recognized as Bomas. The fighter's cannons tore open the ground and ripped the Bomas apart easily.

Those that didn't die turned and fled back into the jungle.

Khan rotated the craft and set it down where he just opened fire. He opened the hatch and jumped out, his little personal droid floated over his shoulder as he did.

"I appreciate the help, but this is our find. We got here first." A Human woman with light brown hair and teal eyes pointed her gun straight at Khan's head. Her sultry voice could entice any man, making her threat seem more seductive than frightening.

Khan glanced at her face, never had he seen such a perfect bone structure on a human before. Her lips, nose, and even the freckles on her face formed a divine picture.

He glanced at the other two women, a green and sand-colored Twi'lek. Their Lekku weren't covered in elaborate tattoos like other members of their species. The only visible tattoos they had were their eyebrows.

Judging from their equipment, he can see they're some sort of smugglers or Spacers.

The corners of his lips rose, combined with Amora's beautiful face it looked slightly alluring. "Are you sure you want to point your blaster at a Jedi Knight? Which do you think is faster, you pulling the trigger or me cutting off your hand?"

The two Twi'leks aimed their pistols at Khan. "What about this? Are you faster than three blasters?"

Khan's eyes flashed, the solidarity of this group surprised him. To stick with your partner and openly confront a Jedi is not something for the weak of heart.

The Human woman glanced at the lightsaber at Khan's waist before looking at her two partners.

"Kyla, Sula, stand down." She dropped her blaster and sighed. "We'll divide the loot 75-25, we won't give you higher than 25% so don't try and bargain or use your mind tricks."

The two Twi'leks dropped their pistols at the Human's command.

Khan watched this with interest, not because he found them attractive, but he's already probed them with the force. While the two Twi'lek were normal, the Human had a fairly high response.

He had only felt such an abundant amount of midi-chlorians once before in Belia.

"Do you even know what that building behind you is?" Khan tilted his head and gestured towards the tomb with his chin.

"Ha, do you think we are fools Jedi? You should be happy it's not 10%." Sula, the sand-colored Twi'lek scoffed. "I've searched through ancient documents and stories just to find the Tomb of Freedon Nadd. Don't think the relics inside belong to you just because you're part of that overbearing order."

The green Twi'lek, Kyla smiled. "You're not the only collector of artifacts in the galaxy, collectors pay us a pretty penny to enrich their collection."

"Don't be rude." The Human looked at her two companions with a stern gaze.

"Lana, this isn't the first time these self-proclaimed defenders of the peace have tried to steal our find. They drove us off Dantooine before." Kyla quipped back.

Lana shook her head, her gut was telling her this Togruta was different from the Jedi she'd met before. "What do you say Jedi, do we have a deal?"

Khan couldn't help but smirk. It had been a while since he'd been around people who didn't know who he was, even if he was using another form.

His hand flipped and the force radiated from his palm. It invaded their ship and started taking control of their systems. Inside, he even found an astromech droid. It didn't take much to rewrite its programming and bind it to his will.

"Yes, why not? I see no reason we have to fight." Khan reached backward with his hand and the box flew to him, hovering right above his palm.

Lana breathed a sigh of relief when she heard Khan's response. She didn't want to try fighting a Jedi. She led her two partners towards the temple while Khan walked behind them.

They moved past the spikes and arrived at an entrance that appeared to be cut out from the side wall.

Inside, the tomb split into three different directions. The walls were made of stone, illuminated by torches placed every few feet down the hall; Fueled by the dark energies in the air, they burned a dark red flame.

"How about we split up, I can't trust my back to a bunch of relic hunters." Khan didn't wait for them to agree before heading down the left path.

"Who does she think she is?!? A Jedi Knight thinks they can act so arrogant?" Kyla stomped her foot in frustration.

Sula shook her head and patted Kyla on the shoulder. "That's the benefit of having a large organization at your back. It gives you confidence. We're just slaves Lana freed, no one would care if we disappeared."

"I'd care." Lana frowned. "Just because you used to be slaves doesn't mean you're lesser people."

Sula rolled her eyes. "You were included in that We. None of us have a backing we can rely on. When that deal on Nar Shaddaa went south, we had to flee Hutt space with our tail between our legs. The buyer knew we were alone and stiffed us without worry."

"Yea, but it also cost him a bolt to the face." Lana smiled when she remembered the old times. "Let's go, that hole in the wall means someone had been here before."

Khan walked down the left path, it broke off into many sections leading to dead ends; But he knew what he wanted was in this direction.

His eyes constantly scanned the walls when he reached a dead end and looked for any seams, no matter how small they might appear.

After wandering in the tomb for thirty minutes, he finally found what he was looking for. The back wall at the end of this path looked no different than the rest, but that was only to the untrained eye.

He could tell, most of the back wall was made out of an entirely different metal to look like stone. The same metal that coated the outside of the tomb. Mandalorian iron, also known by its other name Beskar.

Khan sat the box down and stretched out both hands. He impacted the wall with the force and pushed as hard as he could. The air in the room twisted and his veins bulged, but the wall didn't budge.

"Move!!" He took a step forward and a low growl rolled from his throat. Finally, dust fell from the sides and the seams appeared more visibly than before.

When the wall budged for the first time, everything else came easier. The wall slid back inch by inch until there was enough space for him to fit through.

He took a deep breath and wiped the sweat from his brow. He picked up the box and pressed different spots a few times. The box started shifting and grew to the size of a coffin. The walls grew thinner, but he could contain more inside.

He carried the box inside and placed it at his feet. His eyes stared straight ahead at the red Sith Holocron on a pedestal. Before he could marvel at its beauty, he heard the rustling of tiny legs.

His eyes shifted to the ground and saw a swarm of Orbalisk rushing towards him. They looked like scarab beetles with bronze shells.

"Finally found you, how far can you take my research?"

Khan didn't hesitate, his fingers stretched forward and the entire chamber was filled with Sith Lightning.

The Orbalisks hissed as their bodies were stunned by the shock. While lightning could kill them, it would require more power than he was capable of producing in this wide of an area.

He felt his energy draining fast, but he completed the task. If he didn't already know their weakness he might have fallen prey just as Bane would have in the future.

Khan pushed the creatures into the box and closed the opening, trapping them inside. Now, only a small pyramid-shaped opening remained on the box to store the Holocron.

Khan didn't go for the Holocron directly. He sat on the box and looked at the Beskar slab. After taking a few deep breaths he pushed his hand forward, using the last bit of his strength to seal the room once more.

The room was plunged into darkness, only the glow of Khan's yellow eye and the red Holocron could be seen.

Only one chapter for today. Taking a few days off, my mind hasn't been in the right place and have been super depressed the past few days. I'll be back by next Monday.
