The Nameless One - Pre - Fragmented Pain

*Present Day - The Senate votes for a new Chancellor to succeed Valorum*

*Wellspring of Souls*

A hand gently patted and rubbed against the bark of a dead tree, the Tree of Eternity.

"I am sorry...I failed you all those years ago...but soon, I will avenge you. I have thirteen keys, and only one remains. The Shard of Reality is the last key I require. And then...I will finally kill the Void God for you."

Ever since the day Ulthaan had became what he was today, he had regretted the foolish choice he had made so long ago.

Tricked by the Void God, one of the 10 Realm Gods.

Each one ruling over different planes of Creation.

God of the Spirit World

God of Hell

God of Heaven

God of the Mortal Realm

God of Light

And the others...

The God of the Void, the Void God was one such being.

Nay, he is not the strongest of the Realm Gods but he was the only one Ulthaan cared about, as the Void God was the root and source for causing all of his pain and suffering.

The Void God delights in taking the Souls of lesser beings and corrupting them, especially unique souls like Ulthaan's own.

But Ulthaan will one day make the Void God regret his decision of targeting him all those years ago to the present day.

To kill the Void God, Ulthaan would need 14 keys, fragments of Creation itself.

These fragments represent the duality and opposites between The Great Protector and his twin the Great Destroyer. They were beings amongst the Gods of Creation within the First Universe to ever exist in the Omniverse.

The most powerful deities to ever exist in any conceivable reality.

The Gods of Creation were so powerful that the 10 Realm Gods were but ants compared to them, and they didn't care what the Realm Gods did so long as they didn't violate their Laws.

Ulthaan had defeated the Void God many times in the past, but they were just his vessels, weak husks and host bodies the Void God would use as he couldn't leave his domain, the Void Realm.

To set foot in the Void Realm and to kill the Void God permanently at the source, Ulthaan required 14 keys embodying certain aspects of Creation and lastly, the name of the Void God himself.

Time, Space, Mind, Reality, Life, Death, Body, Soul, Power, Control, Hope, Despair, Corruption and Purity.

There were two more aspects, those being Good and Evil, but Ulthaan didn't require them.

He had all of them, except for the final key and the hardest one for him to obtain, the Fragment/Shard of Reality, the Key of Reality.

To aquire each Key, a certain set of conditions is to be met.

To obtain the Time Fragment, one must travel down the Casam of Time, a place not easily accessible even to those that are Gods of Time.

To obtain the Power and Control Fragments, one must have so much raw power coursing through their body that it could result in them turning into a pile of dust at any moment.

Ulthaan paid the price and as such his body is constantly falling apart and repairing itself, invisible to the naked eye as his body healed at a rate which would confuse almost everyone ro think he was in perfect health, but that couldn't be further from the truth.

After countless years of existence he had searched and left a path of destruction throughout the Multiverse as he travelled in search of the Key of Reality.

"A World of False Reality", that was the only clue Ulthaan had been able to uncover from his travels on how to obtain the Key of Reality.

Ulthaan: "To think that the last Key was here all along...in the very Universe where it all began..."

Ulthaan sighed remembering his past and all the pain and suffering he has endured, and his history with the Tree of Eternity which birthed him, before retracting his hand back for a moment from against the rough dead bark, and then he violently plunged his hand into it.

The surroundings...no, the Galaxy and beyond quaked and vibrations rippled across Space and Time as the Tree of Eternity began to eminate glowing veins along its body in a myriad of exceedingly dark colours.

* Icarus (Adrian's ship) - Adrian and Ava's Bedroom*

Adrian pov:

Adrian: "Mind explaining to me how the F.U.C.K. you were able to use a Lightsaber to cut my head off?"

Ava: "What do you mean?"

Adrian: "Remember I told you I used the Elder Scroll to merge Necroplasm and Cold-Iron Ingots with my body? Well, my bones are now made of Cold-Iron from Molag Bal's Realm of Oblivion and my blood is mostly Necroplasm now."

Ava: "I still don't get it, I never played any of the DLCs where you can go to his Realm, Coldharbour."

Adrian: "*sigh* False Nerd! I played them ALLLLL!!! Anyway, Cold-Iron Ingots are used specially for Daedra weaponry and armour of Molag Bal's servants. It's so strong and durable that the Vestige can use it to harm Molag Bal and Mehrunes Dagon, although in both cases they were weakened due to the Dragonfires taht protect Mundus from Daedric Princes being able to use their full power while on Nirn. Cold-Iron is durable enough to tank blows from Molag Bal while he used his own Daedric Weapon (Mace of Molag Bal). So...point is...you shouldn't have been able to cut through the bones of my neck with the Lightsaber."

Ava: "Hmmm, oh shit! Now I know! You know how a Jedi can use the Force to surround a object so it can become strong enough to block a Lightsaber. Kinda like Advanced Tutaminis. Basically if a Jedi with a high Midichlorian Count does it, then the Lightsaber can get stronger and stronger by pouring the Force into the Kyber Crystal, enhancing its properties even further. I guess since I am literally the FORCE, it was possible for my Kyber Crystal to emit enough energy for my Lightsaber to cut through your bones. You should have noticed it by now? Didn't Jedi like Yoda or Windu cut your armour, in fact, you told me that Abeloth pierced your armour when she tried to kill you on Ord Mantell, she did the same thing but with her hand instead."

Adrian: "I guess that explains it...Hey, what's wrong?"

I asked her as I saw her show a pained expression on her face, sweat beaten down her forehead and her eyes widened more and more.

Ava: "AAAAARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!"

She let out a loud pain filled scream as she grasped her heart with one hand and her head with the other as she fell to her knees.

The pain was so much that she couldn't even remain on her knees as she fell to her side spread across the floor as she fell of the bed we were on.

I rushed to her side and held her in my arms.

Adrian: "Ava! Ava! Gwen! GWEN!"

unknown to the both of them, both the place where Ulthaan pierced his hand into the Tree of Eternity and the area around Ava's heart glowed in both purple and dark blue colours.

However, Adrian couldn't see it and so he remained oblivious to this detail as Ava felt the same pain Ulthaan had endured since the day he was born as he transmitted his pain to her.

Telestarri pov:

I watched from a great distance as Lord Ulthaan had injured the Tree of Eternity.

It baffled me why he would do this considering what the Tree was, but only the two of us knew the origins of the Tree, so I did not voice my disagreement with this course of action he took.

I looked to my side as I sensed a presence exit a portal besides me.

Telestarri: "Ka'drol? I didn't expect you to be here. You normally are beside Kenris."

Ka'drol: "She is far stronger than me. She doesn't require my constant protection despite my protests, but I cannot refuse her order for me to leave her be, nor can I ignore our Lord's command to watch over her. That is why I came to you, to ask in what I should do. Should I obey our Lord first and foremost, or to my charge's command."

I pondered for a moment before answering, it was a difficult question.

But if I told him which to choose now, another similar situation would occur again and he wouldn't learn from this.

Ka'drol was a loyal and obedient servant to Lord Ulthaan.

But he fails to think for himself when given contradicting orders to fulfil.

Ka'drol: "Why is our Lord harming the Tree?"

Telestarri: "That is hard to simply answer. Hmmm, I think I may be able to help you to answer your own question. Let me tale you the history of the Tree of Eternity and a very old tale of the Nameless One."
